Awesome tea room with beautiful cakes, great retro 1940s themed and the staff are amazing. Took my mum for her birthday surprise and the staff could not do enough for all of us. The cakes are so nice we all had a doggie bag to take home and it's just a great little place. I would recommend anyone to go but at the same time don't want it to change. Thank you Nikki and everyone we will be back

This is my favourite tea shop in York and there is a lot of competition so this tells you how great it is! Everything is delicious and fresh, the cakes really are homemade and each time I visit I always discover something new. Service is so friendly and you leave feeling a bit better (must be the cake 😉) just don't tell everyone about it or we will never get a table again.

Visited as a group of 10 yesterday. Probably the best afternoon tea we have ever had as a group. Dietary requirements were taken care of and the service was excellent, with friendly staff. Worth a walk out of the city centre to visit this gem 💎

Lovely little cafe. We had coffee, sandwich & a toastie. They were both delicious, served with a fresh salad & crisps. The cakes looked very tempting! … We’ll have to go back to try them. The pricing was very reasonable! £20.90 for two people, which you don’t get very often. Lovely staff too, fit the whole vibe.

Rang ahead and arranged afternoon tea for two. Told them about my nut allergy and they changed my cakes accordingly and were extremly accommodating. We arrived on time to a fabulous welcome and they even changed our seating to make it easier due to my disability. Our tea order was taken straight away and our food, which i pre booked, arrived within l0 minutes of us sitting down. It was truly amazing. The sandwiches were definitely not lacking with good quality meat, plus their was plenty of it. Salad and crisps on the side. You get to choose your own fillings too, which most places dont give you a choice. You ger two scones, one fruit and one plain with jam and cream and then to finish off four cakes! All for £14.95. The staff are great, just the right amount of attention. The place is clean and tidy. I would advise you to book though as when we got there it was heaving! Then it went quiet for about 10 minutes then it started to fill up again, so a very popular spot. We will definatly be back.

We enjoyed our takeaway Mother's Day afternoon tea yesterday. Everything was amazingly fresh and tasty, from the sandwich selection, the fruit scones served with jam and clotted cream through to the selection of homemade cakes, cupcakes, and biscuits. We even had some left over to enjoy with a cuppa later. Wonderful, and highly recommended.

Just had an afternoon tea with the family, and it was one of the nicest we've ever had. Proper leaf tea, great sandwiches in lovely fresh bread, fruit and plain scone each with quality jam and an truly excellent selection of cakes. The only thing keeping them from top spot in the afternoon tea league table was the cream was aerated, not whipped double or clotted (which would have guarenteed top spot). Great friendly staff too, so if you are in the area this place is a must!

Nice little tea room in York. Amazing hot chocolate and mochas! Very nice Welsh rarebit and the soups are to die for. Very nice atmosphere and decor. Can get quite crowded though so make sure you're in early! You also have the selection to take some cakes and pastries away which is quite nice. The packaging to take away could be a bit nicer though as they can get squished.

The best tea shop in York, no ifs, no buts!!! Large chunks of quality cake all cook in house and served by friendly staff. I will be trying the scones on my next visit. Very child friendly with reading/colouring books and crayons provided for my two little daughters. An all round lovely experience enroute to the park with the family. Keep up the great work guys and we shall most definatly being visiting again on our next trip to the UK.

Lovely atmosphere here, nice vintage decor. I am a little late in writing this review, enjoyed afternoon tea here with friends a few months ago. Two of our group are vegan, I called to book a couple of weeks in advance and to check whether they offered vegan options as this wasn't on their menu, but they were very accommodating and provided sandwiches, scones, a selectiin of cakes and tea. The flapjack was my favourite!

Very pleasant. Themed and stylised vintage look. Waitresses all in matching 1940s style uniforms. Have only had a stop off coffee and cake here. The outside is small and right by the main road so not abundant in seating but on a nice day it's an easy place to sit and people watch. Coffee is nice, not stand out in any way but reasonable. The cakes are very good. There is plenty there to please most people. Reasonable costs.
