Travelling through and saw this place. Me and the partner saw the good reviews and decided to pop in. Really happy we did. Awesome lunch. Thanks Cocoa Tree Cafe!

Friendly staff and generous portion of food and drink. We ordered a Ham and Cheese Toasties (£5.80) to share and a hot chocolate (£2.80) each and they were all delightful. We both enjoyed the cosiness of the place too. Highly recommended.

Jolly little cafe with a tasty array of cakes, ice cream, cream teas , sweet treats & savoury favourites. Very good portion sizes and presented well. My smoked salmon sandwich was delicious. Julie & Mark are sure to make you welcome. Highly recommend

We went here because I believed they did a cooked breakfast - which they don't!! That said they were preparing the sausages for their sandwiches which we were offered. These sandwiches were delicious tho it was a little weird having salad with breakfast.
So that might all sound a little negative so why 5 stars? As others have said this is a lovely cafe. Empty when we were there so good opportunity to chat to the owner about any number of things, not least of which his Cocker as that's what we have too and she was made to feel as welcome as we were. I would recommend this cafe but of I go again it will be later in the day to try out all the cakes!!

Today we did the circular walk from Helmsley to Riveaux Abbey and arrived back in Helmsley looking for a nice cafe. After 3 hours of walking we were in need of refreshment and the Cocoa Tree cafe provided so much more than that. The coffee, hot chocolate, cakes and toasted teacake were delightful and the service was superb. We couldn’t fault anything hence the 5 stars.

Return visit due to the owners being very friendly and welcoming. Great place to go if you have a dog or not!
We had lunch which was lovely. We will return when in the area again.

Lovely cafe amongst many others on the same street. However we searched for dog friendly cafes and the Cocoa Tree came up tops. A very pleasant lunch of burgers and baked potato with cheese and bacon. The dogs were very welcome in the cafe and were a talking point. Couldn't resist having some deserts but took them away for later. Would highly recommend this place especially if you can't find anywhere that welcomes dogs.

One week holiday in Yorkshire, this was the 3rd cafe stop of the week where I had the best Millionaire Shortbread EVER and best Cappuccino of the week, by far. Great little place with friendly staff (owners?). Highly recommended 👌
