I. Love. This. Place. The staff is genuinely kind and chatty. There are SO many cute dogs with nice owners that come in and let you let their dogs. And, of course, the food, coffee, and tea and excellent!! I loved that they had loads of vegan options and unique syrups for their coffees. You seriously need to go here. You'll be hooked.

I come here a lot and every time the service is so quick, the staff are lovely and the food is always amazing. They have a really good range of autumn/winter drinks at the moment (I had the cinnamon hot choc and highly recommend) with lots of vegan friendly options on both the food and drink menus. Cosy coffee shop just off the tourist trap of York city centre. Lovely coffee, delicious waffles & bacon for breakfast and a good range of cakes. Friendly, attentive staff!

Lunch out in York. My Sister & I did not want to go to a restaurant, but a cafe where we could sit outside and watch the world go by. This was the one! Lovely staff & wonderful food it tasted amazing. 100% recommend Cosy Time.

Pleasant staff, who’s mistake was forgetting we said stay in, so we got plastic take out cups. £7 for a gorgeous strawberry milkshake and a peach lemonade slushy isn’t exactly cheap but fairly priced. Bathroom was nice and clean and is located right at the back. Plenty of seating behind the bar which you can’t see from outside.

Had a nice coffee and cake here for four. Coffee was really good, but not exceptional, the cakes were lovely, as were the staff, and the decor and atmosphere was indeed cozy. Only minor complaints were that our order came very staggered (my cappuccino arrived five minutes before everyone else's and then our last coffee arrived five minutes after everyone else) and the cakes were a little on the expensive side. However I would definitely still recommend this place for anyone wanting to have a pleasant cuppa in York.

Visited here for lunch on Wednesday and was impressed on the whole. Dog friendly and we chose an ideal seat in the window on a sofa. Very friendly and helpful staff and the food was impressive. I had the 'Superfood Smoothie' with berries, together with a 'vegan sausage, hummus, spinach and tomato sourdough toastie' that arrived with plenty of crisps and a side salad. Decently priced too. The other tables here were definitely not as nice as the one we had in the window, especially those in the back, and so could do with a bit of sprucing up to attract more people in.

We popped in for a quiet drink on a Sunday evening. The Gatsbyesque decor makes you feel like you're back in time while enjoying your drinks. The food menu looked great too.

Mid morning, need a brew, happened to be passing 'Cosy Time', so in we go. Not a large cafe, but very homely and welcoming. 'Cosy Time' was busy, which always reassures us. Due to the space available, the choices at the counter are quite impressive. We found the service speed, leisurely, which suited us just fine. It was a nice touch using proper teapots with ornate decorating. Also matching cups. Enhancing the cosy vibe of the cafe. The scones we ordered were very tasty. A pleasing experience.

Great place to eat The staff were really polite and could not do enough to make us welcome ! We had a Salmon bagel with Avocado and salad and Halumi cheese and bacon bagel with a Decff Cappuccino and soya milk and a Cappuccino followed by apple pie and a chocolate brownie I would recommend this place to anyone!

The drinks (tea, hot chocolate, shakes, smoothies etc) are really good and the desserts and cakes look great. In fact, I love hot chocolate and the one here is fabulous if you like hot chocolate. I can see that it would be a good place to hang out though hanging out anywhere during Covid is less appealing than normal. They are very Covid aware and have really good precautions in place. In terms of the main food items... it's good quality ingredients, fresh etc but it's frankly dull and not a lot of flavour. That applies to the three different dishes my group ordered today. Both our table and the table behind us had slightly incorrect orders despite the fact you have to text your order from your table meaning it's hard to understand how they get orders incorrect. So, I will go back here for drinks and cakes (it's 4 star review on that basis) but I wouldn't order main dishes from here again as they just were dull (3 stars for those). Edit: I did actually go back and have a main meal here again and it was actually very good - though again my friend who I went with was originally given the wrong meal which has now happened both times we've been here. No big deal though and they immediately then prepared what she wanted.

The portion sizes were nice and large and the sandwiches came with a healthy portion of salad and crisps. The drinks are nice and refreshing, I recommend the peach iced tea as the most refreshing drink, and the staff are lovely. Been many times for the great atmosphere and wonderful food.

A gem of a cafe which served scrummy food and catered perfectly for my gluten free diet. Yum! Highly recommend the gf carrot cake and the chai latte. The earl grey is loose leaf and served beautifully and they have proper clotted cream with their scones... yum. One of the highlights of our trip to York.
