Dog friendly cafe and takeaway, Emma, Steve and their team are lovely. The food is good and reasonably priced for what it is (the sandwiches are very generous!). Spotlessly clean. Would recommend.

Beautiful small coffee shop in the middle of Heworth (almost :P). Great atmosphere inside, some board games available to occupy your time while inside. Quite big choice of food, from sandwiches to paninis and wraps. I had Great paninis complemented with nice big coffee and millionaire shortcake. Worth visiting. And it's dog friendly. Dog got a nice treat in the form of chicken pieces. Thank you 😀

First time coming here since it changed from being Mairs Deli. Overall very impressed! The counter layout was better and the boards were very clear. The range of sandwiches here is no less insane than it was with hot and cold options, interesting veggie range and loads of nic-naks! While I do appreciate that sandwiches are being made to order I was waiting a long time for mine, some feedback would have been nice even if it was a quick "Sorry, the turkey is fresh out the oven and we need to let it cool a little before slicing". Will be back to work through the luxury sandwich range!

Excellent service from happy staff, brilliant food and selections. Love the games available and general vibe. Would be 5 star if they could maybe rearrange access to the toilet so you don't go through the kitchen - maybe create access with door to the side of the till and switch the plumbing around. Add a baby change and a ramp at the entrance.

We ordered four platters for our pre Christmas get together. Karen delivered to the door to help out with timings. The food was excellent... everyone really enjoyed having such a wide choice of fish/ meats. Good value for money too. Highly recommend! Thank you

We've been going to this cafe/deli ever since we were forced to work from home in March 2020. Very friendly and relaxed place with wide ranging hot, cold and luxury sandwich selection. Decent coffee too. Hand made cards and art for sale. They are also dog friendly and always give our dog some treats...providing he's well behaved.

We absolutely LOVE this fantastic cafe! Nothing to too much trouble and the team there are really personal and friendly. On top of that I’ve never seen such a huge variety of different lunch options available, I’ve sampled quite a few and I have never been disappointed! Keep up the amazing work!

This is a lovely place. It has a really nice ambience. The quality of the food is excellent. We love their coffees. It's really good value, so there's a steady flow of customers both to eat in and take away. It's clear that they are passionate about providing great service. On our last visit, we booked a table as a birthday treat for our two year old granddaughter, her mum and great grandma. It was a great success because the staff are so thoughtful. If you can't find something on the menu that you fancy well don't know where to recommend. Very nice, mainly take away so not a lot of seating but we have always got a table. Love the bacon with pancakes but the cakes are always nice - best vanilla slice I've ever had.

Lovely local deli. I am a tiny bit addicted to their apple cake, but try and spread the love and sample other cakes too (supporting the local economy, is my excuse!) and they are all delicious - you can't beat homemade cakes! The deli also sell meats, cheeses etc and the ham is delicious. Also often have sales of locally made crafts/ cards etc. Always worth a look. Treat yourself and help support a local business at the same time.
