Quaint and Welcoming Little Cafe / Coffee House. The cafe itself is situated on the top of Gillygate, York. Inside has a warm and calming atmosphere. The owner Barbara is very welcoming, always with a smile. Very helpful and accommodating. The coffees are excellently prepared and tastes amazing - try the hazelnut latte, it's to die for (pictured). The prices are reasonable and the menu is situated on the wall easy to see. Great food choices and nutritional dietary requirements are considered. All in all, I would highly recommend this little cafe to anyone who wants to enjoy great ambience in a traditional homestyle atmosphere. Five 🌟 🌟 🌟🌟🌟 stars 👍

This is my favourite coffee shop out of the many places in York. Lovely staff, good food, and excellent coffee (I normally get the dirty chai latte). A really nice atmosphere for studying as well (I normally pop over when I’m at uni).

It just so happens to be that my favourite place in York is the best place in York. Barbara and her team really make this place special. It's like popping home for a brew with family. Even better than that is the menu! Eggs to die for, bacon butties that reign supreme over any other bacon butty you could ever have, and if you haven't worked your way through the slection of home-baked sweet treats yet, you're not doing it right!

Lovely little place, they do gluten free options and I had a ham and cheese toastie with GF bread. As I'm coeliac they even made sure the bread wasn't contaminated when using the toastie! Absolutely lovely staff, will definitely be going again.

I started to come in as a morning routine on route to work after I had come in once with my lad. The owners are brilliant They make everybody who walk through their doors feel welcome. They remember repeat customers and past conversations they've had with the customers. It's a warm and comforting environment to be in and the pick me up isn't from the coffee!

I. Love. It. Here. Only been twice, but I felt so welcomed and at home that I'll definitely go out of my way to go back. I've only been on the mornings, with the little one, and despite the fact that we take up space and are often loud, we feel welcome and comfortable. The proprietor is so nice and lovely and patient. Clearly loves what she's doing and cares about her customers and community. Plus, the coffee and food are also delicious, beautiful, clearly made with care. Best croissant of my life (but I'm from America, so what do I know about croissants lol.) Anyway, 10/10, highly recommend, please patronize this shop!

A small breakfast cafe. Excellent service with freshly cooked healthy food available Just added to the menu a dish of Lentils really good. Good friendly atmosphere clean and comfortable to eat healthy breakfast at reasonable prices. Toilets clean with plenty of reading matter .I like this cafe and will return again and again

My friends and I went here for lunch on wednesday 13th, it was clean tidy and the service was great , food was lovely and the price was reasonable I has the cheese and ham toastie with chutney on the side with salad and a coffee it was only £7.?? near on it was really tasty and cheap I thought you need to visit as it was nice I will definitely return
