Can't thank the guys there enough really, especially Dwight - stellar work done! They managed to bring my dead iPhone 7 plus back to life. Apple refused to fix it, a third party store blew up one of the components in it, and I was quoted £200+ just for data recovery from another person. Went to them, and they not only managed to recover my data, but also fix my phone all within £65. Was dealing with Dwight from the store and he was superb. Exceptional customer service and he got the job done within a reasonable timeframe. Highly recommend.

Six months ago MacMan replaced the original mechanical hard disc in my 2017 iMac with a 1TB SSD drive. The iMac has been working as I would expect it to ever since. Great service from start to finish, the booking system was really useful in these covid-times and dropping my computer off felt very safe. Booked in my iMac for a replacement HD as it had died, they estimated up to a week as they were particularly busy at the moment but managed to get it fixed up for the next day. I ordered and paid for the phone online and then chose to go into the store to pick it up. The person was absolutely lovely, so friendly, cheerful and helpful. Having been quoted an eye-watering amount for my Daughter’s Mac book repairs from apple, we contacted Macman. I have been incredibly impressed with their willingness to discuss the issues at length, their diplomacy in comparing their approach to that of Apple, and their efficiency. What would have cost us £712 (+£90 diagnostic fee which we wrote off☹️) cost us £224 from Macman. What more can I say - very happy!

I called up and explained the fault with my MacBook (unresponsive trackpad) and was told the likely cause was battery swelling. The person on the phone explained the likely worst case scenario price wise and I booked in to have the fix carried out. When I arrived the very helpful staff quickly took the MacBook apart and let me know that it didn't look like battery swelling was causing my issue but they were happy to investigate further and they agreed to call me should the fix start to look potentially more expensive than they originally thought. To my delight I got a call less than 24hrs later telling me that the MacBook was all fixed and ready to go. I was only charged the basic diagnostic fee which was a fraction of what I was prepared to pay. Long story short; these guys were professional, honest and incredibly helpful. I know where I'll be going for any future issues with Apple devices!

They fixed my screen with a refurbished one. Ended up being way cheaper than a new screen. It was actually in better condition than my old one was before I broke it! I generally trust them to try a cheaper fix if it's possible, rather than jumping to a fixed price list of replacements like Apple do.

A flawless service from start to finish. I've sat in front of a Mac for work for over 25 years now, and I can truly say the guys at MacMan Brighton know their stuff. During an upgrade to OS Catalina, my aging home iMac gave up the ghost and fell over. Nothing I did would resurrect it and get it to fire up. I came to the conclusion (backed up by a few online searches) that the Hard Drive had failed. The guys at MacMan confirmed this was probably the case and I duly dropped the Mac in one Saturday. The book-in process was quick and efficient and I left feeling the Mac was in good hands. 3 days later I received an email to tell me the job was done, a new Hard Drive was installed and I could collect whenever I was ready. Collecting the following Saturday, the pickup process was just as smooth and efficient as the drop-off – the only issue was I couldn't remember my own PIN number! Apple Pay came to the rescue though in the end! Arriving home the Mac fired right up and felt like a new machine - within a couple of hours I'd Time Machined all my stuff back on from before the crash and normal service is now resumed. Can't recommend these guys highly enough.

Highly recommend this place! I went into the Brighton store with my second hand mac I had bought a few days before and had absolutely no idea how to download the correct software for it. I was served by Dave whose customer service I cannot fault! He explained everything to me in a very clear and professional manner and resolved the issue within a few hours! Really excellent service. I turned up on spec as they opened in the morning as my laptop was completely frozen and had been for over 12 hours. They had it fixed within a few hours and charged me half of what I thought the bill would come to. When I collected my laptop the guy that served me spent a good while answering my questions about where best to store all my photos and videos when I'm sure he had much better things to do! Always helpful and good at keeping one up to date with progress on repairs. Unfortunately my recent repair has proved to be insufficient and my computer is still not working properly. I'm away from home for a few weeks but will have to return it to the shop when I'm back to see if it can be fully corrected and working 100%. Just wanted to share an experience I had a few years ago here. My MacBook Pro had (I thought) completely died, the screen wasn't working properly at all and kept getting lines through it. I was at university at the time and really worried it was going to cost me a lot of money to get it fixed, if it was even possible. The guy I spoke to at Macman asked me the year of my MacBook Pro model and told me that there was a faulty with that years model graphics that would eventually destroy the motherboard and that's probably what was happening! He said if I took it to Apple they were obliged to repair it free because of the error until later that year and even emailed me the notice from Apple to show them so they'd fix it! It took a few tries with Apple as they said at first this wasn't the problem, the second time they said in fact it was. I got a whole new motherboard repair for free from Apple because of the kind and honest advice I received from Macman that day! Currently writing this review on the same Mac, 8 years strong! Just wanted to say a huge thank you, albeit extremely late! Thank you!!!

If I could give more than 5 stars to The Mac Man, I would! I'd been toying with the idea of buying a brand new mac for about 6 months. My old model, although not really used that much, had had it's day (or so I thought). after realising I can't really spare over a grand on a new Mac right now, someone recommended checking out the Mac Man for a second hand model. I had a quick look around on their website and noticed that they also upgrade macbooks, so I contacted them to see if they could upgrade mine. After a few emails back and forth I took my macbook in to Dan, who was extremely helpful and explained how much my mac could be upgraded by. I needed some more Ram, a new battery and more memory. Dan was super helpful and friendly and didn't use loads of technical jargon (which can be confusing at the best of times) I expected to have my mac back a few days later, however I was surprised and pleased to find it was ready by the next morning! Amazing! I ended up getting the trackpad fixed too as that had packed in and I hadn't realised. It now runs smoother than ever, is super fast and is essentially a new Macbook from the inside! I can't reiterate enough how pleased I am with the service and cost. There were no hidden extras, total transparency from my first email to collecting my Mac. If you have any issues with anything Mac related, I strongly recommend paying The Mac Man a visit!!

Marvellous service. I am a journalist living in Morocco who was recommended The Mac Man by my Brighton-based friend Rachel Clatworthy when I visited her in December 2013. A month after my visit my keyboard collapsed along with a few other issues.
