Been with Apple now since smartphones existed. I have toyed with the idea of changing to give Android a go.
However, there is one thing that has always kept me as a loyal customer and that is the service.
Yesterday I booked an appointment for today at the Genius Bar as I was having an issue with my AirPod Pros that are out of warranty. A nice chap called Ryan helped me and took them away to test them for 10 minute. He came back with his report that showed the problem. No questions asked, here is a new set of AirPod Pros and also a few ear buds for my inconvenience.
It’s been the same over many years. I had an issue with a iPhone X and it was changed for a new one. I dropped an iPad and the screen was damaged, they changed it for a new one and each time I didn’t have Apple care and the product was out of warranty.
Can’t fault them, nice shop excellent staff every time I have visited.

Quick check in to resolve problem had to wait a while for the genius, which was fine had a look around the store. More staff than customers, again not a bad thing. Very helpful. Although wanting to buy an air tag, £35 just for a keyring to put it in.. Wow

To enter the Apple Store you need to wear a face-covering and they provide hand sanitiser at the entrance. The members of staff are some of the well-knowledged and nicest you'll ever meet. Each table is used per customer, ensuring a safe distance is kept between everyone.

Good products and range in store. What I don’t like is the current trend of being stopped and “screened” at the door before being allowed entry as to why you’re here and what you’re looking for before even stepping foot in the door.
They have a questionable policy on face coverings for exemptions. I overheard a staff member explaining to someone who was medically exempt that he still needed to wear a face covering…. Hmmm

The staff help you with every single set-up with your new phone, and they give you better ideas for the new device. I have been there many times, and they were always respecting and helping me out. I went to the Apple Store in Cardiff, I knew before going there what I wanted. I was greeting almost immediately when I got there by Kaia. She asked what I was looking for, I said I was looking for an Apple Watch. She was incredibly helpful and friendly. I was in and out of the store in about 5-10mins. Excellent customer service. I’ve been there quite a few times with issue with my MacBook and they’ve always been incredibly helpful.

Great customer service, booked in advance for the Genius Bar to replace my battery. Service and comms was very good. Unfortunately, they broke my screen while replacing the battery resulting in a longer wait time. However, the screen was replaced with a brand new one free of charge and without hesitation.

I just wanted to say that today (Saturday 18th September 2021) I received excellent customer service. I came into your store around mid day. My phone was on low charge. There were issues with public transport (trains and buses) going back home to Caerphilly. I was contacting my family to see if they could pick me up instead of me getting an expensive taxi etc. I needed to charge my phone either way.
Not only did they help me but they calmed me.

Purchased a MacBook pro around 16 months ago that for no reason stopped working which has resulted in a costly repair.
The Genius conducting the repair advised the repair would take a day and would update me if any delays.
It took alot longer than this to repair the laptop and getting any one on the phone was pretty impossible.
To the supervisor at the stores credit they identified that they were far below par this time and reduced the repair costs by a sizable amount.
I supposed for that you have to rate the store pretty highly.

I had an appointment with apple. So I have a medical exemption from wearing masks. I arrived at the apple store on time to be greeted by a rather rude employee and she told me to put a mask on even though I was wearing my exempt badge around my neck! She then got her manager who told me I could either wear a mask or a vizier and I showed him my badge which was CLEARLY around my neck! Then he said I’m sorry it’s our stores policy for the whole of the UK. I then started having a panic attack and he told me that I could either wear a mask or vizier or they could bring some chairs out of the store and we could look at phones and watches that way! In the end I really needed a new phone! So I had to sit in the middle of the ST David’s centre upstairs outside the apple shop and look at the items there! The lady Who was serving us (different from who I was approached by first) was lovely and was a massive help!! Has put me off going here a bit though! As it just causes anxiety.

Beautifully designed store and great visual merchandising, but the customer management system needs improving. You had about 5 staff hanging in front of the entrance with minimal distancing, making it difficult for clients who arrive to do the same. Once ushered in, there was little guidance nor customer waiting over 25min for I guess "experts" whilst other staff were loitering and standing around. There were many more FoH than actual technicians.

The product speaks for itself, but the staff? I've not known a team of staff to be so friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and sympathetic. I entered the store and a staff member asked if he could help in any way; I explained my predicament and was referred to Abbi; she knew everything there was to know about the issue, assuring me that she would do her utmost to resolve my problem. There seemed to be a team leader in the back, walking up and down, checking on the quality of service.

Excellent service today. Tom helped me every step of the way. I went to Apple to find out if a third party outside the shopping center really did change my cell phone battery like they claimed. Tom helped me. He ran a test on my battery and even sent my phone to be opened. He wrote an email for me stating that the third party were telling lies and that they actually stole my money. He went out of his way to help me. Very impressed. Highly recommend them.

Staff are so helpful in here. Very good customer service. They always do their best to make things cost less for me (like getting my devices fixed) and are very willing to talk everything through with you. Geniuses are very talkative and kind and make you feel really welcome. They're really honest about things as well and will obviously try to sell you products but won't scam you into buying the most expensive thing. Really nice place to go just to try out the technology or even just charge your phone.

It's a well stocked, clean and visually appealing shop however it can takes ages to speak to a tech rep as it's always very busy. Had an issue with my MacBook Pro and within 20 minutes of checks, they booked it in and replaced the screen. No quibbles at all. Great service.

I popped into the Cardiff Apple Store the other day to have a quick look at their latest product range. Having encountered very snooty, disengaged floor staff in the past, I wasn't expecting to have a positive experience this time.
I was served by a superb gentleman called John, who approached me, noticing my lost & helpless demeanour faced with so much technology. John's attentiveness, product knowledge & infectuous passion for online commerce & Apple products converted me 100% to understanding the right investment to make for my business & personal needs & aspirations. Prices are rather high for accessories.
Getting an appointment with the Genius Bar is sometimes hard and you may have to wait over a week. However, when you visit on the day of your appointment they will do everything they can to get you up and running again. They will help you with any back-ups you may need to do first.
There are free workshops you can go to which teach you how to use your new tech. An appointment is needed for these usually.

I can only describe the service in this store as fantastic. From purchasing my ipad 5 years ago to using the genius bar to fix a problem right across the board every member of staff are excellent. Their consumer protection policy is streets ahead of anything I have ever come across before.

I called the Apple Store as I was having trouble with charging my phone. I spoke to Carla and she was so polite and patient. When a fault arose with my MacBook pro I immediately made an appointment online for 17.30 the same day (easy process, search for apple genius desk). MacBook was examined immediately on arrival, problem identified, timescale for repair and cost researched and date and time given for collection. Each and every step was explained to me and all electronic "paperwork" shown to me before I signed my acknowledgement and acceptance. The process couldn't have been easier or better explained and I can only commend Apple for their efficiency and the ability of their staff. I would also advise all new customers to take out Apple Care, in this case alone it has saved me a small fortune, the bill running to many 100's of pounds. Today's kit is do expensive it must make sense

I would like to say that I received excellent service today at Apple St David’s 2. Meurig who is a lead Genius at the shop was extremely helpful regarding some problems I was experiencing with my IPad. After returning the IPad to the work shop he decided that the IPad needed to be replaced and he did this with minimum fuss and he also set it up for me at the shop. I could not speak more highly about the service I received at the shop today and also whenever I have had to ring the support team and will be happy to recommend Apple to all my friends and family.

After multiple appointments with Stormfront (no Apple store near me) to resolve an expanded battery issue they fitted, that has now lifted the entire screen off my iPhone 6 plus, I had no option but to drive the 200 mile round trip to the Apple store St David's, Cardiff.
I should of gone there in the first place. Apple booked a Genius appointment for me directly and despite arriving early, was welcomed by staff and invited to take a seat while they tried to get me seen earlier.
Within 2 minutes I was seen be Shawn, who was really concerned about the state of my iPhone and the damage caused by the faulty expanding battery. Without hesitation he could see it was dangerous and informed me it would likely be replaced as a result, even though Stormfront had fitted the replacement battery under the special battery replacement programme.
With all my details confirmed, the phone was safely taken away and I should be getting a replacement within a week sent direct to my home.
After a week of hassle from Stormfront who would do nothing - despite Apple requesting an assessment - I am finally getting a phone repaired / replaced that was damaged by their faulty battery.
Thanks to the staff, especially Shawn / Sean at Apple for his attention to detail and for swiftly putting me at ease after a week of grief with Stormfront. I know where I will be going in future should I have any issues - and it will not be Stormfront for anything.

I was really afraid because I didn't really need two ipad. The first person that I talked with told me that I should contact with the website because is not the same that the store that is why my 4 stars. She contacted another person and he solved my problem. Apple store should give more support for the things that you buy online because everyone knows that when a problem come out is better to talk face to face.

Purchased an iPhone 5s from Three in Swansea in November, out of nowhere in March iPhone started to boot on its on and show a blue screen and would turn itself off for days on end.
Booked to a see a genius in the store, I think the lady who served me was called Roisin. Told her about my issues with the phone and offered me a replacement phone without any hassle! Very helpful and quick service, extremely satisfied with my experience.

It can get very busy at peak times with heavy footfall of people mainly there to have a look (it being an Apple Store). Book an appointment and you should get seen promptly if you arrive on time. The staff are very friendly and motivated, despite clearly being stretched by the amount of customers demanding attention. If you arrive at a peak time without an appointment and need an 'iDevice' looked at, bare in mind that you will not be a priority; booking online is free and always preferable and makes everyone's lives easier.

Very helpful in every aspect. I have never had any problems contacting the Cardiff Store whatsoever. The Genius Bar ar very knowledgeable and helpful. The complaints that I have read on here are unbelievable to be honest. Complaining that they need help to set up an iPhone? If that's right you don't need a smart phone you need a house brick. Some of the complaints on here sound just like two of my friends who only buy Samsung and leave nothing but made up rubbish on Amazon and other websites, grow up.

I had an appointment to have battery replaced under the known fault programme. Initailly refused to replace it because the screen was non genuine, but kicked up a little fuss and they agreed to replace it. They informed me that the broke the screen and replaced it free of charge. However the home button no longer works so they agreed to replace the phone free of charge. I would have given them a five star rating but given that I live twenty miles and it's been three visits for an otherwise simply task.

Work in town so called in on spec on 23rd Feb with my misbehaving, ageing i-Pad. A bit like me. Fixed up with a Genius within 10 mins of arriving. Problem solved within 20 mins. Treated professionally, courteously and with respect rather than like an idiot which quite frankly I would have deserved. Took my MacBook Pro Retina in with a cracked screen, although being very expensive to repair (about 1/3 the price of the whole laptop) I was prepared for this going in. I took my MacBook in at 11am and was told I would be contacted in 4-6 days when the work had been completed, by 4:30pm the same day I had a call saying the work had been completed. Everyone I spoke to at the Apple store was very helpful and they always make you feel welcome and like they are genuinely trying to help you.

Reserved a time via web chat to see an expert to look at my MacBook Pro that had a screen blemish problem. Arranged the time on web chat and when I arrived the next day at the right time, my name was already on the list and they were expecting me.
Professional service and prompt repair under warranty - the phoned me the next afternoon to say that th screen had been replaced and the laptop was available for collection.
The actual store is rather barren and I guess this is meant to be 'modern and chic', but it feels soulless and rather uninviting.
I like Apple Products and realise most of their emphasis is on the look and feel of things, and think that the Store would do well to hav a decent coffee bar inside it - even if it was one of the franchised chains. This would add the lovely smell of coffee, and also allow customers to browse at a more leisurely and inviting pace.
The smell of coffee would also hide the smell of the air conditioning which was rather unpleasant on the day I attended (29/08/2017)

I went into store as my iphone 4 was showing a black screen . I booked an appointment to see a 'genius' I went back a few hours later for my allocated time . As my phone had a new screen replaced by someone other than apple the gentleman told me there was nothing they could do and my warranty is obsolete . I do understand that once a phone has been tampered with they cannot or shouldn't fix it but I didnt like his attitude.
His attitude was - you are not welcome so get out of the apple store with your faulty goods .It wouldnt have been hard for him to maybe sympathise a little with my situation as I unknowingly got this fixed at another store and didnt realise this would cause a problem in the future and maybe recommended somewhere I could get it fixed . If Apple fixed products at reasonable price maybe I would have gobe to them in the first place . I wont be going back to the store again and Ill be buying my ipad from John lewis , ill also get an extra 1 years warranty with JL.

This is the typical small Apple store. Impressive entrance and making every inch worth it in the small local. Inside you'll find a lot of people to help you. The service in the Apple stores is near sublime. The products... everybody knows Apple.
