I have been coming to game in Colchester since I was a little boy and game wasn't game it was electronics boutique, I have seen this store develop into a great place to by and trade games or consoles and tablets, mobile phones etc. The service is great the staff know what they are talking about and all are very welcoming and friendly people. Recently I added god of war to my collection and it was another worth while purchase and experience. Also the cherry on the cake they host a gaming arena at the back of the store called belong, a great place for kids and like minded adults to come along boast your skills or just have some fun, with competitions being held most of the time, there truly is something for everyone. It is nice to know your local game store has you covered when it comes to gaming, whether it is games, consoles or the like, defo give them a shout.

Took my 2 boys 5 and 9. Was not sure on how it all worked. The staff were so helpful. Squeezed us in for a hour and set the boys up. During the hour they made sure ourselves and everyone were ok even though it was busy. Can’t speak highly enough about the staff. Obviously the shop itself is great but the staff really made it for me. Will be going back regularly now. Well done

I recently moved to Colchester & as I'm a total PS4 addict, i stopped by here to check out the latest releases. The staff were very helpful & they did not make me feel rushed or pressured at all. I noticed they take in old phones for cash or credit & as I have a few spare ones I went back to Game to sell one off them. The store was busy at the time I went in but the staff members were again very helpful & the staff member serving me had my phone checked & tested within a short time & after signing the documents & given the cash for my phone I was on my way again out the door. The store has a huge range of gaming merchandise & they do have a lovely selection of Christmas jumpers above the tills!! They are incredibly cute!! I do highly recommend Game. Visited recently. Staff friendly and on hand should you need help with great knowledge. Loved the Free COD Beta test in the Beyond section. Was looked after and lent insights while playing. A top spot to visit for any gamer.

Generally always carries the latest games. Not as big a selection as there used to be but with downloading being popular it's no surprise. They have a gaming section where you can play games and they host parties. Lots of merchandise, tech and accessories. Staff are friendly and informative. Not always the cheapest price but often worth what you pay. We'll located and presented well.

Amazon is probably the cheapest and the Game shop is the most helpful. Staff always very enthusiastic and polite with very good knowledge. The new gaming zone area of the shop is a smart idea and so much fun.

Not what it used to be, half of it is now somewhere to play games which means that only half the store is for games to purchase, and three quarters of that is dedicated to Sony and Microsoft (Xbox) products, if you want Nintendo stuff or PC go elsewhere. Preowned stuff is most of the time the same price epically with Nintendo products. Apart from that the staff are nice.

This Game has changed quite a bit recently as it has taken to becoming 50% day care centre. The back of the shop to Red Lion contains a selection of gaming computers that are available for hire for people to use - although these people appear to be around the age of 12. The rest of the store has a very limp selection of video games for current systems. Pre-owned selection is small and there is more general game related merchandise than anything. I understand that Game have to keep with the times but it is sad that there really aren't many brick and mortar video game stores left. Amazingly CeX and Cash Converters have a better selection today.

Helpful friendly staff that will stop and talk to you if your stuck with something or just a quick hello if there not busy. They have converted part of the shop into a gaming pc area and also sell gaming pcs in store or least for order. Lots of second hand or refurbished consoles and games for sale to.

I recently made a visit to the Game shop in Colchester town centre and was very impressed with the helpfulness of staff. I wanted to try the PS4 VR. My daughter and I were helped by Lauren who was fantastic. She gave a lot of great advice and time along with a good demo of how the VR worked. I also talked to Phil who was also super helpful. I’d highly recommend this shop for their outstanding customer service and really knowledgable friendly staff. The PS4 VR was really cool and really adds a lot of fun to playing a game.

Went to the Belong Colchester branch in GAME. Unfortunately alot of the range we were expecting wasn't available due to decisions higher up the food chain. That being said the assistant there, Lauren was helpful and bubbly and made a great effort to make sure we felt welcome and were enjoying ourselves.

The new "Belong" area at the back is a fun way to leave your kids playing age appropriate games while you Shop! Staff are helpful but prices are often beat by CEX which is round the corner!
