A high-end gaming laptop presented various challenges in terms of accessing the failing fan - essentially everything had to come out to get at the fan - but Ross tackled this quickly and efficiently despite the looming Christmas Bank Holiday. He also spotted that the thermal paste needed replacing, which then markedly improving the machine's performance, and all was completed for a very reasonable price. Thank you very much, Ross, for getting everything up and running again so quickly. Very much appreciated, given the 3D modelling/VR deadline I was working to.

I find that Ross responds very quickly to any request for help and is friendly in all his communication. I went to Ross as my PC was experiencing CPU spikes when on certain games. Despite being relatively computer savvy and trying a multitude of suggested fixes from the internet I could not eliminate the problem. Ross did extensive hardware tests, updated all my drivers and the problem was still there. Eventually, we agreed on an OS reinstall and that did the trick! It was very helpful to have a second opinion from someone who really knew their stuff and cannot fault the service provided. I was kept up to date through phone calls and told of next steps and potential price increases if we did X Y Z so there were no nasty surprises down the line. The price was extremely reasonable considering the amount of time spent on Ross' part trying to diagnose the issue; there was certainly no stone left unturned before we arrived at the OS reinstall. Will recommend to friends and colleagues as was first rate service.

In my case, Ross worked on a flagship Dell XPS 15 that from day 1 had over-heating and keyboard issues before finally packing up just out of warranty. He has returned to me the computer that it should have been on purchase (the work undertaken included new fans, new keyboard, upgraded thermal paste and a service) and he did so at an incredibly reasonable price. Ross was recommended by a friend. My laptop had ground to a halt and was barely usable. I spoke to Ross on the phone, he explained the options and I booked my laptop in. My computer died and thanks to Google reviews i chose Ross IT to take it to as he had a good rating. I explained the issue and he took the computer to diagnose the issue. It took him over a day to do this but then gave me various options of what could be done. These options ranged between £40 - £200 and he explained how each option would affect the computer. There was no pressure only advice. I chose to upgrade to a solid state hard drive which Ross said would make it quicker which it has. Happy with the service from Ross and i would certainly use him again.

Fabulous! My iMac started to play up and although I tried to fix it in safe mode the hard drive finally gave up. Managed to get a really quick appointment to drop it off. Ross explained what he would do in non technical terms and gave me a very reasonable quote (I honestly thought it would be more) and far cheaper than having to replace the whole mac. The result is my iMac now is running faster and I can carry on with my work as as a freelancer without having to outlay loads extra for a replacement. I came to Ross with a totally dead laptop after an unexpected hard drive failure. Within the space of 24 hours he'd diagnosed the problem, attempted data recovery (sorry again for crashing your PC!), replaced the hard drive and got the laptop running quicker than ever, unfortunately without the original hard drive with all my work information on it which I've now got to somehow retrieve! I originally contacted Ross through the online form on his website and he got back to me very quickly. Free diagnosis which is great compared to places like Curry's that charge £40+ just to have a look! He got back to me very quickly with solutions and thank goodness could retrieve a massive amount of data on my laptop that would have been lost (put on a portal hard drive that just plugs into another computer like a big memory stick).

Ross rescued me on a Saturday, when my laptop wouldn't charge. I thought the problem was a power switch issue, but he discovered that the hard disk was also damaged and removed all my data from it before it was lost forever. My 2012 iMac had been slowing down for many months and finally died when with Apple's help we tried to reinstall Catalina and it failed.
