Great place to play board games, tabletop games or trading card games. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and you can get food and drink too. Highly recommended!

Nice place to play board games and tabletop games for a small fee. Good selection of games and the food is also pretty good. Burgers wete tasty and a reasonable price. You can also buy board games, Warhammer paints and some models at a similar price (and sometimes cheaper) than big stores. You probably need to book a table at weekend afternoons to avoid diappointment.

Fantastic little games cafe with a surprisingly sizeable basement and so many board games to choose from. Has great coffee and does wonderful food from meals and soups to great cakes and all at a great price

Nice location and staff are pleasant. The main lobby/cafe area is light but could do with a tidy and fresh air to get rid of the fryer smell. I think a rearrange, paint and good scrub would do it the world of good. Great selection of games and there is even a special room away from prying eyes and interruptions. Large selection of Citadel paints too which is useful. Not sure if you can sit in and paint though.

Wonderful place to go. An excellent, eclectic mix of games. Helpful, interested staff who are more than happy to offer recommendations. Good food and drink on offer at very reasonable prices. Just wish I could visit more often, but certainly top of my list for things to do when the kids are elsewhere!

A great place for gaming. If you like board games, they have loads for borrowing, if you like war games, they've got loads of playmats and terrain, if you like card games, they've got a solid community of like-minded gamers. They've also got a good selection of food and drink.

For me it's not the cafe or the selection of games that sets this place apart. Instead it's the gaming save downstairs and the large free to play selection that they have down in the basement that's the cherry on top of the cake. However, I'd say that it you're looking for Magic The Gathering cards then you'd be best played going somewhere else.

Great having a venue like this on your door step. Friendly staff with a nice cafe and a small but decent selection of games in the shop. Downstairs is where the real magic happens with a mammoth amount of board games to choose from. Nice and friendly atmosphere!

Games hub is a nice cafe set in the centre of Edinburgh, with good cafe options and fries and chips. Small cost for entry to the games room allowing unlimited use of the board games or tables if you're playing your own miniatures game or D&D. Shaz the owner is friendly and always happy to recommend games and has a stock upstairs if you find a game you love and want a copy. If he doesn't have it he can always order a copy in.

Fantastic place to meet fellow gamers if you're not a member of South East Scotland War games Club. Table hire is reasonable and the food, while limited is tasty. Nice staff and friendly atmosphere every time I go.

I mostly come here to play boardgames. They have a great selection of games, and they are easy to find since they are alphabetised. The playing area is big, but not well ventilated so it can get a bit smelly sometimes. There's no staff on hand to help explain you the rules so either know the game you want to play or be prepared to learn yourself. I've had the food a couple of times and it is quite good for the establishment.

Great place to hang out with friends and play boardgames or tabletop games. There's a great library of games to borrow, plenty of space and friendly staff. Food is good and very reasonable and there's even a small shop for games if you fancy picking something new up.

Travel here a year ago when we visited and loved it so much we came back a year later. Nice little cafe on top but you get to go downstairs and there are shelves and shelves and shelves of games just hang out and play with people there who are happy to show you how to play a game or if you come in a group you just sit there with your friends and play games. Old games new games games I've never heard of every time we leave we have to go and buy at least two games that we played there.

Great place to try new boardgames before you buy. Very reasonable prices on new games, and very good priced food and drinks. £2.50 to play from opening til close is great! Lots of room for many people to play. Shame I don't live here so I can't be a regular.

This place is the best. I popped in to have a look and ended up sitting around for almost an half and hour, just chatting about games. The dudes there are very friendly and have a genuine love for what they do. Would love to visit this place again.

One of the best board gaming cafes I've frequented. Absolutely huge selection of board games, great big space downstairs. Can get quite busy so booking a table ahead of time is advised. Food is great as well, great selection of paninis and such.

This is an amazing place! The cafe & shop are Good, the coffee was great and baking tasted nice. We went on a Thursday night and stole a table downstairs from the local games group but they didn't kick up a fuss (sorry guys! And thank you!)

A great store for all things geeky. If you want to play tabletop wargames, they have you covered. You want to play boardgames? Gotcha Looking for a game of League Of Legends or to play some WoW? Yup, they have PCs to do that too. Hungry? Planning to stay for a while? Got that covered as well! With friendly staff and an even friendlier manager this place is the one gaming place to rule them all. It has a nice, warm, friendly environment that can be enjoyed by young and old. Also note they have a shop downstairs with AMAZING prices on most things!

Five star rating for the games selection and concept. For peanuts you get access to large(ish) gaming tables and a selection on board games. You can bring your own too; role playing, board or war. The food here is super cheap and while it would seem under stocked for a deli it offers a generous range for a gaming base! More recently they added PCs, printers and Internet. Gamer? Great place, I went to use the gaming computers and it was easy. Would recommend for anyone looking to have a little gaming sesh, good atmosphere when there are people playing Warhammer or boardgames about too.
