SimplyFixIt was so good when I needed to get my laptop battery replaced. They take walk ins, so I just brought my laptop down and they ordered me a new battery there and then. When it came time to change the battery they did it same day. The laptop even feels more secure to hold now. Would recommend them to anyone.

Can't argue with the fix and they were nice enough in the shop, but there was a bit of an issue with a lack of communication. What I was told would be a five day job ended up taking nearly two weeks, and it wasn't until I actively called them that I found out what was going on. The price was fine though, and the staff lovely. Just wish they'd kept me in the loop more.

My laptop screen cracked after being dropped. I had limited experience of using a repair service previously. SimplyFixIt were outstanding. From the initial email enquiries, provision of a quote to repair (even though they had not yet seen the laptop), speed of repair, which was all carried out by friendly and knowledgeable staff. MacBook Air and iPad repair These people are brilliant, I was rather unlucky to have an iPad fall down the stairs and a glass of wine spilt on my MacBook Air M1 in the same month. I could have cried. Both were repaired swiftly and significantly less than the Apple Care quote with no fuss. Recommend this organisation highly to fix your broken stuff at minimum cost and fuss.

We always get attentive and helpful service from this shop. We had a Macbook with a broken screen, sticking keyboard and suspect battery for repair, which is expensive overall but cheaper than buying a new one. All the issues were addressed successfully although the keyboard and battery had teething problems in their replacement which meant return to the shop on two further visits. I will continue to use this service due to the courtesy and help received overall.

For those who don’t know, SimplyFixit repair GHD hair straighteners V5 and above. After finding this out I took mine to see if I could get them repaired as they wouldn’t turn on. They have a no fix no fee policy, so what’s to lose? So impressed by the service, I got them back fixed and working within a few hours. They text me to say they were ready to pick up. When I got them they had even replaced the cable which had slight wear in it, which I hadn’t asked them to do. Much better than the cost of having to buy a new set.

Fantastic job, my old laptop died and the diagnosis was spot on, the follow up was great and they were happy to discuss options for a replacement. Eventually I found a bargain replacement elsewhere but it had a German keyboard. The guys were fantastic, switched my drives and RAM from the old machine and most of the keys to convert it to a UK keyboard. All this at no extra cost... Superb.

I think everyone here complaining about the £99 service charge doesn’t realise how much it takes to diagnose a laptop! I took my macbook here after spilling tea on it. The person I spoke to on the front desk was highly knowledgeable. These guys worked so hard to take my laptop apart, clean all the pieces and repair the motherboard under a MICROSCOPE all under the £99 service charge when they could’ve easily charged me for a new one and made some easy cash. (Which is what most repair shops would do.) In the end all I needed to pay for was the service fee and a new keyboard. They also noticed issues with my battery but accepted my decision to keep it for now (I knew about the issues prior to taking it in so I know they are being honest) and they even offered to update my laptops software for free. 100% highly recommend. My MacBook is over 4 years old but came back to me looking like new. :)

Really professional and quick service, with competitive price. Although they used a copy iPhone screen, not the original, so there’s significantly worse colour, vibrancy and brightness. Not sure if they offer the option for an original display to be used because I wasn’t informed. So slightly disappointed in that regard as my phone has pictures on it that can’t be properly displayed with a high resolution screen now.

Generally good, however their default policy when buying a paid version of the Avast anti virus software for them has a cloud setting which they manage and which puts adverts for avast in all your outbound mail sent from a mail client. An abhorrent policy in the first place for this feature to exist on paid fully licenced software but also absolutely unacceptable for this to be the default setting, without telling customers. Then for it to involve an email exchange over many weeks, remote help, asking to bring the computer back to the shop all because of a flag they choose to use and leave on by default and to get it removed. Shockingly poor. I'm considering taking all my business elsewhere as a result of the timewasting.

Most excellent service. My MacBook Pro was not charging. I went to John Lewis, where I had bought it and I was told they would have to send it away. I was not prepared to wait for weeks without the computer so I took it to SimplyFixIt and was given an estimate of £99 to diagnose the problem and repair it for the next day. An hour later they phoned me to say that the problem seemed to be I had the wrong charger. I just bought a new charger and they gave me the rest of the money back. I was not charged for the time it took them to check my computer. One doesn't find such honesty very often. The staff were polite and very efficient. This will be the place where I will take my computer when I have a problem and I can highly recommend it.

Good service, managed to bypass a windows 10 password (which I had forgotten) for me while protecting all my files and programs. It came inclusive with running tests, scanning the computer for viruses, updating the system and cleaning the computer (for 74 pound). Better than another pc repair guy that said he would fix it for 45 pound but didn't know what he was doing. In the end he said he would ask for 5 times more for the job when he realized the work involved with bypassing the password and saving my files without the added tests and cleaning of pc. All in all , Simply Fix It in Bruntsfield offers a great deal with a lot of work involved for the amount of money they ask for.

Was looking around and comparing prices, this place is expensive but it's for a good reason you can get your iPad screen fixed somewhere else for about 40 pound less but the parts they will use WILL be cheap from eBay. meaning problems will happen straight after fixing it. these guys are professional and from the set up of the shop I was impressed. would hugely recommend them. I had the Hold button on my iPod Touch repaired as it was no longer performing as it should. SimplyFixIt quoted me £40 for the repair which I think was a little bit steep considerig that no new parts were installed. However they did manage to fix the fault and as far as I'm aware my iPod is still functioning as it should, 5 months down the line.

The staff in here seem pretty clued-up about the tech they are selling, which is more on the utilitarian side of tech (think more routers, printers and antivirus, less shiny Apple-style kit). Not the cheapest, compared to what you can buy online, but useful to have a bricks and mortar shop where you can at least ask questions.
