I cannot recommend IT-repairs highly enough. Recently my iMac developed a fault with the memory which led to a complete failure of the system. The device was unresponsive which meant that repair was beyond my capabilities. A phone call to IT-repairs and I was soon talking to Maciej who could provide a probable explanation from the description I gave him. I was offered an immediate appointment to bring the machine into their offices where the likely cause and repair options were discussed. In summary, Maciej's provisional diagnosis was spot on, and within 24hours the computer was back home with a new more efficient memory, working better and faster than ever. IT-repairs provided a very professional, efficient, economical and friendly service. Communications throughout the process were excellent. You can feel totally confident when trusting your computer and its valuable data with them.

Being a little sceptical of computer repair places based on past experience, we reluctantly contacted IT-Repairs when our elderly iMac (2012) began to run ridiculously slowly. Our enquiry was answered quickly, followed by a phone conversation with Maciej who sounded as if he knew what he was talking about :-) He was able to say, with a reasonable degree of certainty, that our hard drive was dying, and we took the machine in for him to check whether that was the case. It was ... and for a grand total of £175, we are now back in business, which is wonderful. Not only has our new machine been resurrected, but Maciej had to transfer our data manually as the old hard drive was too corrupted for this to be done automatically - and he didn't charge us any extra for that service. We're really happy with our experience, and would recommend IT-Repairs to anyone have trouble with their Mac. Many thanks!

Whether we like it or not in banking, business, social or communications the interchange with computers has become, unfortunately, a required essential and in every practical sense its use demanded. Without it, the routine of modern life becomes very difficult so access to rapid, reliable, competent repair and advice when needed becomes equally essential. After a catastrophic Fusion drive failure in my iMac, I was afraid I would have to save up for a new computer. However, after contacting IT-Repairs, a much more cost-effective solution was agreed, and within a few days I had a working machine again. Given how Apple devices are not geared towards user repair, I wanted to entrust replacing the failed internal components to a competent company. I’ve been using Macs for 35 years, and have dealt with many service centres in that time. I recommend IT-Repairs unreservedly as the most reasonably priced, efficient and communicative I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Searched the area for an iMac upgrade and these guys were the quickest to respond and most reasonably priced. Booking was available next day and had the computer back working like new within 3 days. My hard drive containing my entire photo and video collection failed. Luckily I managed to back up the collection to a new external drive. That drive became corrupted before i made additional backup copies(lesson learned) I was devastated! IT- Repairs took in both hard drives and managed to retrieve the entire library from the original broken drive and made a copy of it on a brand new hard drive for me. I now have made several copies of my data. And I have all of my memories of family etc safely back on my computer. Communication was very prompt and all very professional! This is the second time I've used their services for computer problems that I was sure wouldn't be fixable but both times they have succeeded with no problems! Great service highly recommended! 👍

My 8 year old Mac became extremely slow and unresponsive and having taken it to an Apple Genius Bar the problem was diagnosed as a faulty hard drive. Unfortunately because of the age of the Mac I was told they wouldn’t be able to source another hard drive as that particular specification was no longer available, the only option being available from them being to purchase a new machine at some considerable cost. I’m extremely nervous of using small independent IT repairers as I don’t trust them to do things correctly, use good quality parts, or not to look at private data etc on the machine. After many phone calls and enquiries Richard from IT Repairs was recommended from a reputable source, and a quick phone call to him immediately filled me with confidence. He was polite and extremely professional, explained that he had come across this problem many times and that there should not be any problem replacing the hard drive (with a higher spec SSD drive), and gave me the option of personally taking the machine to him or for him to arrange shipment by carrier which was the option I went for. Everything was taken care of for me with regular updates regarding collection times and confirmation of it’s safe receipt. Confirmation of the original diagnosis quickly followed with a price in full for carrying out the repair, together with reloading all my data so that when the Mac was started it was as before with the exception that it now worked! I asked about possible upgrades to RAM or anything else he thought necessary whilst it was there but I was advised no upgrade was necessary and it would be a waste of money to do so, a nice touch I thought as I could have been ‘ripped off’ and be none the wiser. The speed and performance of the machine is amazing, if I’m honest I’d say it was better than new, delighted with the outcome. From the initial telephone enquiry on Wednesday 21st October, the machine was ready Monday 2nd November, and during this time I was regularly being updated of the progress by email or telephone calls. I live 45 miles away from IT Repairs but would not hesitate in using Richard again in the future, can’t recommend him enough!

It's very hard to find anybody that repairs Apple products that makes you feel confident that they know what they're doing. My iMac had stopped loading properly. I called IT repairs and Richard felt that the hard drive would need replacing. I delivered it to their office Thursday afternoon, it was tested and repairs necessary were confirmed by text and a phone call - it was fixed and up and running within 36 hours (with a weekend in between). All backups were installed with just a day missing so I really have nothing but praise for the fast and efficient service I received from all members of staff at IT repairs. Next time I drop my iPhone or need anything Mac related repaired, I'll go to them first, as I know that with confidence, if it can be repaired, they will do it properly and very quickly.

My 27inch iMac had the dreaded blue screen then a white one with green stripes all suggesting to me a fatal problem and hence a new bit of kit. Richard managed to get to the root of problem by changing the 'cooked graphics card' and repairing associated damage, I also asked him to replace the hard drive with an SSD one. Job done in super quick time and all my data from my 'time machine' safely reinstalled at very reasonable cost and without having to buy a new computer. I contacted Richard at IT Repairs when my old Mac overheated and internally fried! Although I had a backup drive, I was still unsure if I would loose any valuable details including company accounts, contacts and hundreds of pounds worth of iTunes! Richard immediately put my mind at rest and assured me it could all be transferred to my newer iMac. Within 24 hours the job was done and after a brief chat, we decided to add a newer and larger disc to my newer iMac to help speed up the processing. After another 24 hours it was all completed. All the files were saved, the old discs removed and destroyed for me and my computer is running like a dream. I came across IT-Repairs Hereford in a search for a reliable company who I felt I could trust with my precious MacBook Pro and data, with personnel who were interested in my requests, keen to sort out the faults and didn't come across, as so many Apple appointed repairers do, as the 'take it or leave it, that's the cost option. For many it isn't an choice; they have to pay out. From start to finish I received; courtesy and understanding; easily checkable costs for parts; a good fair rate for labour; an efficient turnaround; and very importantly, great options, that worked for me, in getting the kit safely collected from me and delivered back to me. This is a computer service that says YES, not the usual computer says NO presenting all too often. A 'can do' and 'will look into it' approach with great progress reports and turnaround. Just because you have an Apple machine doesn't mean you are a source of funds, a cash cow, and loaded; some of us had to make very considered purchases buying the brand. Thank you so much, to IT-Repairs and Richard. Where possible I will use them in the future; they are now my first port of call now.

Have an old iPad mini 2 that is having problems charging up. Went to Apple store in Hereford expecting them to have the answers, sadly they basically said ‘we don’t know, it’s worth your while buying a new one’. Useless. Then called these IT Repairs people, found their name on the internet, and the gentleman i talked to was very courteous and knowledgable. Needless to say if I fail to rectify the problem myself (thanks to his intelligent suggestions) then they will be getting my business. Nice one. Further to the above I did take the iPad to them and they had to replace the battery. It’s not working fully ie I cannot recharge it whilst using it but at least it is recharging now and usable. I have now used this gang - a family affair with lots of "Richards" and a Jo on reception - a few times! Hey - stuff happens... ... Firstly (that I remember) was a 17" MacBook Pro that had travelled the country with me, been subjected to the indignities of projecting presentations in PowerPoint along with a myriad tasks trying to motivate other veterinary personnel. Cant recall exactly what was required (it was back in the early noughties) other than it was returned promptly, fixed and functional. My most recent pig's ear of a job I asked them to wave their magic wand over was to my 27" iMac, 2009 vintage, which had - as I had been told by Apple - one of those 'crunchy' hard drives. Apple had told me to get it to one of their establishments to have the HD exchanged FOC - and of course, not perceiving a problem I left it and left it and kept adding photos, music, documents and so on as you do. When it began to sound like a cement mixer and started taking up to three days to boot, it struck me that "Cooper, you have a problem"! And I left it to languish in the corner, as i sulked because it no longer worked nor spoke to my Xerox Laser printer. And, of course, I had back-ups galore, didn't I? Bought a new 21" iMac to deal with things, and after a year of not-being-too-happy with the speed and the colour of it, I began to yearn for the 27" again, especially as all the back-ups turned out to be fake back-ups. On that broken hard drive inside that lovely 27" screen were some very precious photographs of my late wife who had passed away in 2009, including a video and a couple of hundred photos of our wedding in 2007. And so, finally, and fortunately, I knew a man who could fix things - and gave IT-Repairs a call. My brief was simple - "Do what you can to resurrect it - and, if at all possible, find the photos." As ever, despite an imminent birth in their family, I had an immediate assessment and estimate emailed to me, giving great Value For Money. A number of emails ensued (some containing dreadful language describing just how awful my old 27 incher was behaving) and, as I was in Hereford (a 96 mile round trip from this mountain in Powys) regularly helping The Children's Bookshelf, the £2 BookShop (my son's new business), it didn't matter that the collection date was put back, and back, the birth of Richard's new son came and went, and the evenings became lighter and lighter - until I got the green light. NOT ONLY HAD THEY RESURRECTED AND IMPROVED THE 27"iMac, - THEY HAD ALSO SAVED EVERY SINGLE FILE, PHOTO, AND PROGRAM from that knackered old disc of dust and gravel. In the meantime I'd bought (from BT, believe it or not - the cheapest) a new 27" iMac as my son's business needs to fly, and we now have stereo iMacs to communicate the Apple way. I have my treasured photos again, our wedding vid, and all my old Management motivation and marketing documents from my consultancy day - all of which is WAY over expectation. I cannot give more than five stars (5*****), but I can write an essay expressing my gratitude for their dedication, their approachability - and their friendship

Having cracked the screen of my MacBook Pro (yes, the one with a 15" retina screen) awhile back, I found IT-Repairs via an internet search. An acquaintance who runs a computer business locally to me couldn't get a screen in the UK and said it would be very expensive to import, so I was really worried about cost. RIchard and his team at IT-Repairs are Mac specialists. They were amazing - got a new screen quickly, didn't take a deposit off my card as most people would, did the work as soon as I got to Hereford and took less than an hour while I waited. Throughout, all the staff I met were friendly and professional. I am very impressed, even more so when Richard phoned me the next day to make sure I'd got home ok and the new screen worked. My husband was equally impressed. So the next paper clip damage, or anything else, I'll be back there! Friendly, quicker than Apple and I paid a lot less than I expected. Highly Recommended! Took in my old MacBook with a charging port problem at 10am. They took it in straight away. They were unsure if they could get the part but would first make sure that was the issue. Had a phone call at 5pm to say it is fixed but they wanted to run tests overnight just to be sure. By 9.30am the next day they called to say all is working fine. Such superb service -difficult to get these days.
