Good selection of products, competitive prices, helpful staff who can recommend you the best solution of electronics suitable for your needs. Whenever I visit Currys in Hull, I really enjoy shopping there. (And after shopping, grabbing some coffee in Costa Cafe nearby).

If I were to rate the service online I put a lot LESS stars. The price was incorrect on the website for the dyson outsize. It displayed £599 but when I went to purchase, it changed ot to £699.
The online team said I would have to go into store the following day, which I did as they opened. But the website had changed the price and increased it. So they wouldnr honour it in store (the manager wouldn't honour it)
However in store a staff member called Ben (m?) Served me. I was not waiting long before he asked if I needed any assistance. He was very pleasant and courteous. There was no pressure given, and he was very knowledgeable. I wasn't the easiest of customers as I had as issue with a voucher (no fault of currys) but he waited at least 20 minutes whilst I sorted this. He offered (again no pressure) a protection plan, and found me a really good payment scheme for it.
Well done Ben. You've restored my faith in currys again.

I went to Curry's to purchase a laptop. I wasn't sure what I really need but Ben, the sales assistant, steered me in the right direction. He explained everything in plain English and was very helpful indeed.

Curry's never have any stock in! you always have to make a second journey on another day, yet they want you to pay upfront. Sort your stock situation out Curry's, if I wanted to order online I would have used an online only provider.

It's a big Currys. Plenty of electricals but not full ranges. For example only had four types of hand blender, when there are many more online. Staff not too pushy as in other Currys stores I've been to.

Mostly friendly staff, a few miserable and didn't seem up for talking, but I get that in retail, everyone has off days. Pretty low stock on pretty much everything, but again I can understand that withthe current situation.
Clean store though, well laid out and a HUGE variety of everything which was nice, we'll be popping back in a few months, fingers crossed the stock situation improves.

Went back for a refund , didn't want to use this one wanted to go to one nearer to our home but was told refund had to be done where purchases from, till staff friendly n helpful , directed us where we needed to be , stood behind a lady that was being served , then a staff member told another lady to que at next till so effectively was pushed in in front of us and the staff member that was originally serving the 1st lady just walked off after finishing serving his customer , so by time we got served had waited 30mins , chap was nice enough that did refund but everything at super slow speed here. Went to purchase 2 smaller items but none in stock of one of item we wanted and other had to wait for stock to be brought from stockroom. I didn’t go into the shop as I had reserved my purchase. When I arrived at the shop I saw that there were collection points outside. I informed the staff what bey I was in and witching 5 minutes they had brought out my item. Thankfully the staff loaded it into the van as loading the washing machine myself might have been fun! Went with my husband to buy a TV... Was looking at TV's for quite a while before we decided which one to buy. It was a bit confusing as the TV we wanted to buy was not directly underneath the TV we wanted. We eventually sorted it out ourselves.. Not one member of staff came across to see if we needed any help 😣 and there was quite a few stood about talking to one another.. We picked up the TV and went to pay..The pay desk was at the other end of the store, where we passed several members off staff and not one of them asked if we needed any help 😣. Come on currys.. very poor customer service..

Surprisingly difficult to find things, but in and out without too much fuss but quite a bit of waiting at the tills. The checkout for some electricals is slow and although you may have a short queue in front of you it moves glacially.

Not enough staff, the lady who served us charged us more than she should of then had to wait 25mins for a refund because of staffing. The manager didn't even know how to do it.

An "out-of-town" setting but easy access. Large store, helpful staff, usually has almost anything electrical goods-wise the average person might need with a good range of white goods, entertainment gizmos & computing tech. Large enough not to be crowded & Covid compliant.

A great place with pretty much all kinds of electrical and computerised equipment known to man. One thing I like about this place is that it is cheaper than people think it is and they offer a hard to beat but now pay later service, to top that there is a credit service available too and optional coverage for your purchases. The staff here are like family, fully trained and ready to help with every step of your shopping experience. The building is wheelchair accessible as is the ample parking right outside. Situated on the St. Andrews Quay you can also find many other outlets and a great pub to quench a thirst or have a meal. This Curry's pc World is one of the best I know and never disappoints. It even has a waterside location just in case its nice and sunny. A solid 10/10 for me

I ordered on line, confirmed by email, wait for second email to say item ready. This email gives instructions of what to do on arrival at store. My advice is take a copy of your order number as you will need it when typing info into your mobile / tablet. Follow next set of instructions and wait for staff to bring item outside to you. I used the drive through service. I placed my order on line then when I got instruction to go to the store headed off. In the car park was a clearly marked drive through bay which I parked in. Clicked the link on the email to say I had arrived, then a few minutes later my item was put on the back seat of my car.

First trip out to a non essential shop after lockdown, to buy an essential Kitchen Appliance! Our fridge freezer stopped working last night so went looking for a new one. Social Distancing measures were in place in the store and I was fairly pleased with the way the staff were enforcing the rules as I don't want to get sick nor endanger anyone else, so top mark's for that. Really pleased by the service provided by the sales advisor (I'm not good with names but think it could have been Harry) and also by the guy in charge of the business hub, very professional and courteous. This one visit and my experience this time around has definitely put Currys PC World up in my estimations. Well done. 👍

Not a bad store if you like been asked if you need any help every 40ft, staff are super keen on pulling you in so that they can get their sale.
If you can dodge them and walk around at your own pace then this store is fine.
Some bargains can be had but you often need to time it right and I often find shopping online can work out cheaper and you are able to get all of the tech spec which I find these staff can't always give.

Due to covid they have a desk placed directly in the door way of the foyer leaving customers stood out side when booking in repairs or waiting for refunds.

Oven shopping
Went to my local currys to find a new oven. A very good selection for all budgets.i needed a particular type of connection with a plug on the end. Every one I liked was not in stock or I had to wait 10 days for delivery. Unfortunately I left without purchasing any of the ovens. The sales guy was very good at looking up the items and checking the warehouse for me. I did get a new oven online delivered the next day.

Did click & collect for a small item from Currys during the 2nd lockdown. All very well organised by text messages, when to collect, when the item was being brought to your car etc. Didn't have to get out of the car. The item was place on the seat through the rear car window by a young man wearing a mask so all very covid secure. Thank you Currys

We went to two Curry's PC World today, firstly the one on Clough Road which could not help us, we then went to St Andrews Quay and the staff were fantastic and went the extra mile to help us, we are not very technically minded, so they even helped us download the apps for the fit it we purchased, only took them a minute, it would have took us all day. 10 out of 10 for the staff that helped us, the only downside is I did not get any of there names.

Staff look like serving you is a hassle. Been a few times (as its really the only place to go) and almost every time help is either thrust upon you like vultures or you're left standing there for ages looking for a member is staff. Asked about an xbox one x deal and the more mature sales assistant had no idea on the deals, could not find it on their own website at all so I had to show him on my smart phone where it was on their website. He then went off and returned with an xbox one (s) with a damaged box. I advised him that it's damaged and its also the wrong xbox so off he went again only to say that I can take the console from their stockroom (very gracious I thought) but they dont have the games in stock so I'd have to return. As xbox stocks were low at this time I took the offer. Another visit saw thinking about a new printer the Epson branded sales lady was pushy to say the least. So we decided to leave that decision for another day much to her apparant dismay.
Finally we returned as we needed two new dyson hoovers. The Dyson branded salesman was actually amazing. Asked us what we wanted to use them for and we decided the corded models were the way to go (slightly cheaper as well) but more powerful than the cordless v7 and v7 models on his advise. We could not of asked for a better service from this one salesman. Goes to show it just depends on who serves you, though it really should not be this way. He even helped me to the car with our purchase.

Update - whist the range of products are great, and prices are competitive you won't find any pc components here. They used to sell everything under the PC World branch but since merging all pc parts are gone. Unless you want a pre built system (for which you'll pay a premium) you're out of luck. After building a other pc I needed a 140mm case fan, something I thought a shop called pc world would sell. But alas, no. Was advised (correctly but didn't solve my issue as needed it the same day) to get it from amazon or scan or ebuyer.....
Also asked whilst getting a new TV if any of the newer Samsung range was Plex compatible (asked if I could install the app) didn't know what plex was or what kodi was or if I could set up the network on the TV to stream my own media. Google was my friend that day and after go a quick search we made the purchase and updated the salesmen (multiple by now all asking what I needed) what plex etc was. They liked the idea of it by the time I left I should of sold them a premium package 😉
If you want pre built stuff, a TV or white household goods this is the place. If you want pc stuff that does not have flashing rgb lights everywhere then look elsewhere.

Went in to buy a new TV, X Box X and a American fridge freezer. We walked out with a sound bar. It was quite busy but the only time someone asked if we needed any help was when we were looking at the higher end Tv's. At that time we was just comparing the specs and quality but when we needed someone no one was to be seen.
We ended up getting the x box from smyths toys as these were out of stock of the games bundle. The TV we ended up buying online from another store and we still need a new fridge freezer!
Overall it's like an Aladins cave but go when they aren't too busy.

I visited the store to buy a TV but was unsure which one to buy...with so many options and all the new technology I needed some friendly advice with no pressure to buy. A customer service adviser named Michael was brilliant, he listened to my concerns and thoroughly explained all the TV types, spec... also giving information on compatible devices, 3D, 4K, crystals, Android, wifi, smart, USB etc... Customer service was excellent, I was able to ask questions about viewing photos from my phone on the TV, set up procedure... all answered with expertise and confidence, a credit to the store and Currys, new TV is perfect and have learnt so much from a 30 minute conversation...thank you.

Recently bought an air con unit they said it be delivered in to the store Wednesday when I can pick it up, turns out it isins had pick up on Friday the member of staff that i talk to me said the cart make it come faster , had other issues with this company and some of the stuff don't know what they are talking about so be careful and do your own research on the items your getting and TVs have a play about with it as I got one and the stuff said it had PIP on it and when I got home it was Grade out so the software was on on the TV to make it work

The thing I like about Currys PC World Featuring Carphone Warehouse is their wide selection of electronic goods and their total refusal to commit to using an apostrophe to denote possession. It makes for a cheeky little surprise when you walk in.
"Currys" is says. So you start thinking about maybe getting a nice chicken jalfrezi or a lamb bhuna. But when you get insideand shock, horror: THERE IS NOT A SINGLE PIECE OF INDIAN FOOD TO BE FOUND.
That's when it becomes apparent that their founder, a Mister Henry Curry clearly didn't think it would be important to add an apostrophe to his shop name showing that it was a retail outlet of which he was the proprietor! I know: madness!
"Can I help you today?" asked a cheery sales assistant by the door.
"Yes," I replied. "You can master common grammar usage for a start."
Nobody really knew what to say after that, so we both smiled for a bit and then the sales assistant said "If there's anything you need just let me know."
At that point I should had said "Yes. A ladder and a tin of white paint so I can sort out your giant misleading sign that sits above the whole entrance," but I got sheepish and went for a play on an iPad for an hour and a half instead.
Overall I enjoyed Currys PC World Featuring Carphone Warehouse, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a freezer or a vacuum cleaner or a mobile phone. Not so much if you want a taste of Bengal, mind.
