I took my PC in here as it wouldn't turn on and wasn't charged a penny, as they got it to turn on the next morning but hadn't actually 'fixed' it per se (just luck, apparently)! I have no doubt that if it did need repairs they would have done a great job. Super good service, very responsive and a really lovely place to work with.

There is no other better place in Leicester to get your laptop fixed and repaired. 100% Would recommend to anyone in and around Leicester. He looked at my laptop, thought I'd need a new battery and was honest with me and said my battery was fine and got it done cheaper than the initial quote, by a very large margin. After hearing a few people had recommended Affordable PC I decided to ring them as i needed to buy a can of compressed air to clean my PC's graphics card. They offered to clean my card for free if i was able to bring my GPU to the shop. I went to the shop and within several minutes left with my GPU cleaned thoroughly. In a time where most people are struggling financially this gesture by them was very appreciated. I can honestly say that with this experience and from the previous things i had heard about the shop that Affordable PC will be the 1st place i try whenever i need anything PC related. I can highly recommend Paul at Affordable PC. I've taken three different laptops in over the past month or so and Paul's been great each time. He really understands how important recovering data from a broken machine is and has offered sound advice on data protection. Amazing "no fix - no fee" friendly service! 2020 UPDATE: Used Paul again recently and he's still every bit as good. This time was a MAC and he's just as knowledgeable as he is about Windows PCs. Once again: he really does offer a genuine "no fix, no fee" service which is awesome when Apple want stupid money just to look at something and tell you it's broken. Top bloke.

I took my Mac here to get fixed and Paul advised me he would have to send it off and would take up to 10 days to come back. He said before sending it off he will try a few things to see if he can fix it. A few hours later he called to let me know he has managed to fix it and will only charge a minimal charge compared to what it would have been if he had to send it off (and much cheaper than what Apple quoted). He’s a really honest guy and can’t thank him enough.

I'm so glad I found this place to repair my Macbook Pro which stopped working on Christmas Day. My friend had the same flashing question mark folder problem and was quoted £250 in the Apple shop to have them send her mac off to be repaired. When I brought it here Paul fixed it for me within an hour for £49 with a year's warrantee on the work done. When I picked it up I asked him for further advice on performance upgrades and back up options. He was hugely helpful in running through everything with me and whilst the options were all services or items he could provide in the shop he didn't once try to sell me anything. Here's a genuine guy who just loves his work! I'll definitely be bringing my mac back here for it's next upgrade! Thank you!

Last night my laptop decided to not turn on, with having an important thing to do today i was completely stressed. Have dealt with this company and Paul for many years through purchases of laptops to repairs. Within the last week I asked Paul to put together a high gaming PC for me. Paul spend time talking to me about what i wanted and what i actually needed. I went to PC World to have a look and all they cared about was getting as much money from me as possible. The service and standards are head and shoulders above any other company I have had to deal with, both personally and professionally. I would go nowhere else for products, services or advice. The place is brilliantly priced and welcoming beyond belief. PC World and other companies could learn a great deal from this place. 5* is the maximum I can give but Affordable PC deserves many more.

Took my pc in as thought hard drive had failed, it turned out to be the on board graphics card. I was told not really repairable but I could probably sell it for repairs and when I collected it there was no charge which was a nice surprise. The guy here is very friendly and know his stuff and provides a prompt professional service, he advised me to sell it on line which I did and it sold for spares very quickly. OMG, this is the best place to fix your laptop. walked in with a broken laptop(my laptop screen was about to fall out), i was so scared, thought i had to buy a new one. he looked at it and told me he could fix it. Though he wasn't feeling well he fixed my laptop on time. He changed the lid and hinge. The owner is really a nice man and down to earth. And the price was affordable. Very good service. A free diagnostic, which identified a failed hard drive. Several options were clearly explained to us and a quote given before going ahead with the work. New hard drive and install of Windows 7 done by the next day, and a free hard drive caddy thrown in, so that we could attempt recovery of files from the old hard drive. My MacBook had become extremely slow and was freezing so much as it was a couple of years old. I brought it in to do an upgrade but had no idea what was required. The owner was really nice and friendly and explained all the options available for me in layman's terms. He got me a new SSD, increased my RAM, got rid of all the dust inside, turned my old drive into an external drive and returned my MacBook in an impressive TWO HOURS!!! Its working super fast now and feels like brand new! Extremely good and efficient service and definitely worth the money! HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS TO FIX THEIR LAPTOPS! :D

Brought an Asus ROG gaming laptop with a memory issue. The gentleman is extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the issue and provided a high quality replacement for the affected hardware component (SSD) at a very good price and in a very timely manner. There is no doubt in my mind I will only be using their services from now on for any PC-related issue. P.S.: They also have a fantastic slection of games and components well worth exploring. He will kindly explain how to use an emulator if needed to run them regardless of the Windows version you have. Top, top man.

I took my lap top which had stopped working due to an impact. The hard drive had totally died. I was quoted a price to restore it and ended up having more work done than I initially was quoted for. I was charged no extra for this, the lap top is good as new and all of my data including years worth of pics were recovered. I was kept updated over the two days and would recommend this shop to anybody. We need to loow after small local businesses like this rather than line PC world's pockets.

Laptop was completely dead after being dropped. I popped in to see if they could help. They looked at it there and then - it was a simple fix (if you know what you are doing) by disconnecting the internal battery and replugging everything back together, performed right there in front of me in less than 20 mins. £20 to get my laptop back. Job Done. I chose to visit Affordable PC as everywhere else wanted to charge a diagnostic fee. I got the impression with these folk that had they not been able to fix it simply they'd have been honest and not charged anything. The fact they looked at it in front of me shows their honesty. Absolutely phenomenal service, asked him to come have a look at my Alienware x51 he came out within a few hours. Took it back said call within 48 hours. He called a few hours later that day saying its now all working fine! I was shocked, such fast reliable and friendly service. The reason this is such great service is because DELL (Alienware) said it would take them up to 2 weeks to repair it and will cost me 209 pounds! well Affordable PC cost me 60 pounds and was done within a couple hours and brought back to me the next day right to my door step. You want better service? You can't get any better then this guy.

This is a gamers perspective review. I found Paul's shop thanks to my brother who just said "go here you wont be disappointed im not saying any more". My self being primary a PC gamer i had built quite a new computers in my life but i had rarely owned more than a dozen games at once. So when i arrived i was quite surprised that he sent me there but non the less i had gone inside. And long story short i had left with 2 carrier bags of games :). What made me buy a bunch of games is not really because i don't have any, quite the opposite i have more than enough in my library. What made me buy quite a few is that: 1.) These games i did not have and they are good games some are even great. 2.) "Modern" games don't have any if at all a physical release as for why i don't know disk space is a meh argument blue ray anyone? can be 100GB+ 3.) Ask your self the question what is more fulfilling to you as gamer when showing off your collection a spread sheet (digital) or a shelf (physical). I know a digital library is easier to maintain and move from place to place, but i also know my shelf one makes my friends go WHOA that's cool. This shop is a good send in this "everything is digital get used to it" age.

That rarest of rare things - an IT guy not just trying to flog me an unnecessary upgrade. Quick diagnosis, friendly approach, obviously skilled at his job; Paul is one of the best IT guys I've had the pleasure of taking my knackered devices to. Perhaps not quite the cheapest around, but in terms of quality and competence this place is by far the *best* value for money computer store I've been to in the East Midlands, and probably much farther afield too. Two very positive experiences recently. A few weeks ago I needed an Operating System reinstall. He charged me less than the original estimate! When does that happen? Then just a few days ago I had an emergency; nothing I did could persuade my laptop to boot up. I was in a panic cos I needed it for a DJ booking that evening. Aagghhh! I rushed down there and 5 mins later walked out with a functioning laptop and massively reduced stress levels.

I was meant to write this review a couple of weeks ago. I went there with my pc smelling like burning plastic (eventually there was nothing wrong with my pc and in fact it was a problem with my monitor). After few hours everything was sorted; there was no problem with my pc and despite the fact that he spent some time to check it (including free diagnostic), he did not charged me for anything. He was extremely helpful and polite and above all, for me, he is very honest and trustworthy (as said given the issue of the burning smell he could have charge me for anything). I strongly recommend it and I will definitely use this service again.

The very first time I called the shop for a query, a very polite man named Paul picked up the phone and he was kind enough to explain for a good 10 minutes about why my wWndows was crashing. On arriving at the shop, I did meet the same warm and kind Paul. Ok where do i start , Affordable PC as the name suggetss is great value for money and suitable for people with all sorts of budgets. Ive just recently got Paul to build me a custom built CAD/Rendering PC, after telling him my needs and discussing the several ways to go about it considering the fact im a student, with a tight budget as you can imagine, Paul didnt hesitate to not only give me the best possible spec for the custom built system , but also consulted me in terms of what would be my best available options etc and added in a few cheeky upgrades at no extra cost !! . One thing i like is the shops sincerity and attention to detail, despite the pc being custom built Paul was able to provide me with all the original packaging of all the *NEW* components he used in the process of building the system. The good thing about Affordable Pc is there isnt a time you call the store and Paul is more than happy to help and offer free consultation as opposed to many other pc companies which would most likely charge for consultation ONLY. The service and turn over time is exceptional, as well as the communication. I would recommend the store to anyone with any type of budget.
