In the end the repair price was not worth it for a 6 year old laptop so I didn't go ahead. Still, I would use this company again as they are professional, trustworthy and nice to deal with.

In addition Optima transferred all data from my wife's old and damaged Mac Air to a new one. The prices was cleverly managed as the old computer was damaged beyond repair. The task was completed efficiently and courteously. All in all a very good performance.

Took my laptop in to repair major water damage after dropping half a bottle of water all across my keyboard.
I first spoke to Khrish on the phone and we as very polite and friendly and explained the whole process to me including what my choices would be if the water damage cleaning didn't work. Lot's of other companies won't give you ball park figures or explain the process but Optima did which was very helpful.
I then took the laptop in to the shop and was greeted straight away, again very friendly and welcoming. Khrish came and booked my laptop in and again explained the process.
I was kept informed the whole way along, including pictures, and after at first thinking that the damage was irreparable, Khrish tried the clean again and it worked.
From beginning to end I couldn't be more happy with the service I received from Khrish and Optima and I would definitely use them again if needed!!

I had not been informed by Plusnet that my email server madasafish, (owned by Plusnet) was too old to have any filters on it. A few weeks ago i started to receive, every few seconds, what seemed to be ransom emails called Lethudian..thousands of them poured in to all my devices, so I re-started my desk top computer, only to find that ALL my data had been removed.
I was left with the microsoft screen and various apps.
I had backed up my many work folders, but not every document, and most importantly NOT ANY ofmy email folders. Some photos were in the cloud, but not all, and as an amateur photographer this was devastating. I am not tech minded at all, and did not realise email folders could be backed up easily. All of my many clients data had disappeared too.
Gutted and panicking that my business was ruined, I found the Optima website, spoke with Khrish, who was so calming,and reassuring and said he was sure he could do something for me.
I purchased a new desk top, and took that and my old tower to Khrish, who worked on data retrieval for a few days.
I have my folders back, a lot of my email folders, tho strangely not the most recent ones I have worked on, nearly all my photos, even tho finding them is sometimes a challenge. So I can continue with my business
Khrish completely set up my new computer, and it is protected to the hilt! I have also taken up their monitoring service so I can be assured of help at anytime, which i really do need
I cannot explain my almost childlike relief when I went to collect my new computer, and I cant thank Khrish enough for his professional and thorough help

I like the fact that turn round is quick and you are given a clear, user-focused explanation of the problems discovered and the options for resolution - including (as in this instance) the option not to proceed with what could have been an expensive repair to an ageing machine where replacement or alternative kit bought elsewhere provided the best outcome.
