A further update on Apex, 2 years on from my first review! Our company had an out of hours emergency last weekend. I called Apex's emergency support and an engineer was at our building within 45 minutes. He fixed the issue which meant that we could reopen on Monday morning without issues! Our organisation is based in Falklands Islands, and for several years we have received support from Apex computing remotely. I can highlight the professionalism of the team, they are also very, friendly and reliable. A team always willing to support and explain any IT terminology I'm not confident with and guide me through the whole process in order to resolve any issues.
With 3-4 hours time difference between Falkland islands and UK, the team has been always willing to accommodate to our schedules and working hours in order to provide the best support. Also they have kept in mind the internet allowance difference between UK and an overseas territory, which we appreciate as our internet resources can be quite limited.

We turned to Apex for some guidance on achieving the Cyber Essentials certification, which was a contractual requirement for the majority of our existing customers and any new business.
We had covered the majority of the requirements in house and just needed that extra bit of knowledge to get us over the line. Apex provided this and more.
Apex carried out a full best practices audit and told us exactly what we needed and what we didn't need to pass Cyber Essentials.

We began our relationship with Apex coming from having been seriously let down by another, much larger, FAR more expensive IT Support firm.
As a result, we were extremely wary, considering several companies, asking a LOT of questions, and going through everything with a fine-toothed comb. Apex were patient and answered everything we asked them with confidence; we were more than comfortable choosing them to look after our IT Support requirements.
We are a small company, with just a handful of staff covering everything from Purchasing to Sales, and as such, IT is handled internally as a side-role of the (2-person-strong) Marketing team; it's critical to us that our IT Support is handled pro-actively, with as little input from ourselves as possible. Apex understood this immediately, and are reliable in pre-empting issues and resolving them, keeping us in the loop but only involving us actively when necessary.
Apex also understand that we are operating on a small company's budget; they don't push unnecessary upgrades or additions on us, and their fair and honest time-based billing means that we save money during the (now much more regular) periods in which everything is working fine. I also really like the way they document any issues and the solution, so that if it reoccurs, the resolution time is much faster, even when it isn't assigned to the same engineer.
The team at Apex is small enough for the contacts to be consistent and familiar, but diverse enough to cover every need we've had so far (they've even sourced external support for us on specialist software such as our bespoke Access Database Projects and Microsoft Dynamics NAV). Unlike other IT Support companies, the team at Apex also have a sense of humour and can hold a conversation, and balance this perfectly with the right amount of professionalism.

Enlisted the help of Rowan Lees who 'took over' my work's PC and it was a pleasure to watch an exemplary professional at work and in a short while Rowan fixed the issue I had. Apex has supported Kingdom Security since 2009. Our company has grown considerably since Apex first started to support us and they have been pivotal in making sure our IT infrastructure has been able to support this. Our company operates 24/7 and monitors over 25,000 manned guards.
As such our systems are responsible for not only job rosters and monitoring of staff but for health and safety. Apex has always responded quickly to solve any problems, and we have benefited greatly from their support.
