Knowledgeable and trustworthy service. Came in with a laptop that had started to fall apart, had little hope of redeeming. PC workshop managed to fix the device over a few days and kept me in the loop throughout with any delays. Professional and great value, honestly charged for service carried out. Will definitely return with any device issues in the future.

Went in with a Macbook Pro 2017 and i believed there was throttling issues due to the excessive overheating so did my research and believed getting a new battery and removing the dust would be a good idea. After a couple of days they called me back and told me it was corrupted rather than being hardware issues. They saved me so much money with their honesty! Constant communication between me and them meant i didn't feel like i was waiting without knowledge of what was actually happening. Superb service, really polite and would highly recommend! if you are unsure about your laptop or PC just have a chat with them as they are great at simplifying what needs doing.

Had a corrupted operating system on my laptop .. took it to get it fixed .. a day later, I was told that the battery was faulty as well and if the battery was not replaced, it might have “exploded” .. operating system and battery were fixed within a couple of days .. laptop now working like new .. saved me a fortune buying a new laptop

Really great service. New RAM and SSD installed and issue fixed with a physical rebuild in just under 2 days. Computer returned and feeling like a new machine with all my old data. Really good communication and service. Good COVID precautions in place. Easy to drop off and pick up and shop located right by carpark and bus stop. Could not be happier with PC Workshop and absolutely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic! Couldn't recommend them enough. They managed to retrieve all of my data from a corrupt hard drive. They did not give me false hope, they were very honest and kept me updated with the progress and the price. They were friendly, professional and approachable, even giving me advise about other IT related issues. I will certainly be coming back!

I knew of PC Workshop from a few years ago, they sorted out a problem on my PC, so when I was having a problem with a dodgy graphics card, I wouldn't go anywhere else. I got them to do a full service at the same time and when the work was done they said PC was in fine fettle, but for the future I may want to think about a solid state drive. That advice chimed with my own thoughts so instead of taking the PC back home I got them to order and fit the new drive. A few days later it was all done, my old drive was cloned so that all my info, especially thousands of photos, were all transferred safely to the new drive. PC is now not only eerily quiet but noticeably faster. Great advice from friendly guys, good job done, well priced and quickly too. Honestly, if you're having computing probs or want to enhance performance with upgrades, don't bother looking anywhere else. Also, they are Covid19 compliant so your safety is assured.

PC Workshop gives superb, high quality, professional, trustworthy and friendly service. I went on a friend’s recommendation. After their first service of my lap top, I was so impressed I now have a maintenance contract for a six monthly service and problem solving on demand in between. In over 25 years of using PCs at work and at home, I have never experienced such consistently excellent service. Regular servicing is essential if you want to get the best out of your machine. Cheap deals from people you don’t really know can be expensive and disappointing in the long run. PC Workshop gives excellent service and value for money. This was one of the only places I could find open during the pandemic. Safe, secure and proffesional. I has to have a new laptop fan and battery fitted, this was all done for a good price and apart from delays in the parts arriving (due to the virus) everything was in order. The laptop works very well now, much faster and quieter than before and I can actually use my laptop without it having to be plugged in! I definitely recommend PC workshop

Great same day service. The highly competent staff identified that the dodgy repair done by a different organisation (using masking tape on the internal power supply wires) was a serious fire risk. With this resolved, provision of a refurbished palmrest and base solved a broken hinge and other problems. My laptop is now as good as new. Highly recommended.

I needed to upgrade my old desktop’s graphics card and power pack to cope with the ever-increasing demands of Photoshop. The work was carried out promptly and at an extremely competitive price. Helpful, professional and refreshingly honest staff who even advised against incurring extra costs by having a further (and as it turned out unnecessary) upgrade. This is a small company of dedicated IT specialists who enjoy their jobs, are good at it and know all about customer service. They don't use all the usual IT jargon (well not too much :O) and if you are IT illiterate, like me, they are very patient and explain anything that you are struggling with. The laptop service is quick and cost effective, they work on it there i.e. they don't send it away as with some companies. When I got home there was a problem with my printer (which was not related to the service of the laptop) and using their remote access they spent a good 1 1/2 hours helping me sort it remotely, and in the end it was me not entering the code correctly. They refused to take any payment and were, professional, knowledgeable, delightful and extremely patient. I cannot thank them enough especially as it is key, for my business, that I can work with my laptop and printer. Thank you for an excellent service. :o) PS I am not an employee, friends or related to any of the staff at this company, and this is a true reflection on their service

Very happy with my experience of PC Workshop, Gosforth. My 8 year old PC died and I was really worried. Had my 4 year old Sony Viao repaired. The hard drive had gone. They replaced with an ssd, explained the process, were quick with the service, gave sound advice and charged fairly. They also salvaged a lot(!) of nearly lost data eg photos. Now, my laptop is has never been this fast, even when it was new. Will certainly be using again!!!
