Good range of products and enough staff on site so you can get help fairly easily. Ample car parking outside with the option to have reserved items delivered to your car. Came for a pick up which was very swift and browsed the home appliances upstairs. Plenty of brands stocked with a variety of price points depending on your spending capacity.

It's a huge store and some of the security tags are a bit too sensitive which sets off the alarm just by touching the product sometimes 😅 but staff are always willing to give help and advice if needed. I like that staff don't jump on you to make a sale when you come here too - it makes you feel more aued as a customer rather than just a sale target

Lots of choice for electrical goods.
Staff are extremely helpful and not 'pushy' on trying to get you to buy. They offer good advice and show you the pro's and con's of the items, them leave you to carry on browsing and decide if you want to purchase. Much better selling techniques than being hounded by greedy salespeople.

Bought an Amazon Echo Dot after being convinced to purchase one by our mates. Couldn't find the one we were looking for on display so went to ask an employee at the till. We were looked after by Taiba. She helped process our transcation efficiently as well as offering us a half price guarantee for our product for 3 years. Great customer service on Taiba's behalf.

It is a bit strange that only displaying those high price model of TV which need to be order (shop keep no stock). Many boxes of medium range(/ entry level) TV are piled up in the store but none of them are diaplayed. It was told by someone that they sell those entry-level model but not showing.

We went to exchange an item. The chap who served us, although inexperienced really did a good job in trying to sort our issue. However a huge queue was forming behind us and there was only one other assistant. When you looked across the store there were plenty of staff stood around in different department chatting to each other. I can only assume they were trying to sell each other the products rather than help out somewhere else. Other than that, everything was ok.

Massive store, everyone knows what to expect why does it need a review?
Well, personal experiences may help others not to make the same mistake as I did.
I searched for a product on line, found it was in store, went to buy it. Now, the product was a monitor so I did want to see it to review the picture before purchasing it. Sadly the product was on the shelf but not on display and the staff couldn't set it up.
So I bought it on line for £70 less, free returns if I don't like it. Wasted my time going to this store.
The assistant told me they have lots of products that aren't on display but in stock and lots of products that are on display that they haven't got in stock. How does this business model work?
I can't see these big stores being around for much longer in less they change how they operate.

Looking for new hoover, so went to Currys to have a look. The store is extensively stocked with all manner of electrical goods, but easy enough to navigate around. We were looking at the new Dyson machines and fortunately a very knowledgeable store rep took us through the whole range, and demonstrated as he went. This made it much easier to make our choice.
Have used Currys previously and always get good service and support so would recommend to all.

Took my parents for a new hoover. A very nice lady was selling the new Shark hoover. I forgot to take her name but she was more than helpful with my senior parents. Even took the hoover downstairs to the tills. A couple of weeks before that they brought a washing machine & that lady was also brilliant giving my struggling dad a chair whilst details were taken. Very good service for them. Very pleased to see senior citizens being cared for. Keep up the good work,I appreciated it & I'm sure my parents did too.😊

Hi all, sorry I don't rate pc world very highly. You can get good prices there but they only try to sell you what they want, basically there box shifters so as long as you know what you want and have researched it well you will be OK. But if you want customer service forget it.

Went to the Castle Marina store looking for a gaming monitor, knowing this store had a gaming section.
The monitor display amounted to 5 entry level units. There where just picture boards rather than computers. Keyboards and other accessories were on display with just the odd gap.
That said, the member of staff, was knowledgeable and cheerful and looked at other local PCWorld stores for stocks.

What a turn around! Having had a very negative experience with online ordering in July, these guys were AMAZING yesterday re ordering parts for my laptop...firstly, directed me to partmaster.com for next day delivery at best prices, then helped me identify exact product as I had my laptop with me, then when I had a difficulty, went the extra mile in showing me how to contact Lenovo directly for the part that I couldn't otherwise order. It's so good when you have experts who enjoy being helpful and solving problems above making a profit.

I visited this store today and received the most outstanding service. I spoke to a member of staff who was incredibly friendly, approachable, helpful and knowledgeable. This store isn't remotely near to where I live, I went in because I was out in the area but I would definitely travel back there for future purchases in the hope that the level of staff there is on par with the individual I encountered today. My purchase was so easy and I feel confident that I got the best product for what I want to use it for with their help. Customer service at its best!

Went for a new vacuum cleaner. The Shark rep was very helpful and let us try them out. We ended up choosing a replacement cylinder machine by Miele, just an updated version of our old one. All our downstairs floors are hard, no carpets, just two rugs. We keep a 20 year old Dyson upright upstairs for our carpets. It is still going well but we think we will replace it with a Shark when the time comes. The Shark will also be very useful for our stairs.
Other than the Shark rep, it was very difficult to find anyone to help with the other vacuums.

The sales assistant seemed to lack product knowledge, said that the TVs would probably only connect to the bluetooth headphones that they sell. I would've gone back when the item I wanted was available, if they had known what they were talking about, but it might be better to try somewhere else if you need advice.

Brought a terrible laptop, took it to this place twice to repair. Seems the repair company 'Team Know How' does not know what they are doing as it broke 3 weeks after the initial repair. Ended up swapping the laptop entirely and under data recovery, a technician found parts to be missing - probably leading to laptop breaking again. Ash, the technician made the experience quality, top lad. Very happy with the new/swapped laptop and highly recommend this branch (for local repairs - Team Know How are very poor).

Went in on Wed 16th Dec with my mum in hope to find a last minute laptop and printer for her interview the next morning. We didn't have to wait long at all, we were then served by Taiba. She told us she worked in the TV department yet her sales techniques and informative stuff about the last laptop in stock was 10/10. I believe she was a newbie but she was so funny, helpful in every way and gave us the best deals. Taibas manager, (I think, Max?) Was also very informative and helpful in explaining the technical stuff to me and mum when we didn't understand. The other lovely lady with black curly hair then set it all up for us in under an hour as we didn't want that stress. Lastly, thankyou to Adam who helped us in the store but also called us at home to make sure we were set up and guided us through how to set up further installations. (Also just to let you know, in the end my mum did get the job the next day, so thanks for recommending us the HP 14s laptop as she wouldn't have been able to complete her MS teams interview without the use of the brill (non-glitchy) webcam quality)

Good customer service. You name it, they provide all sorts of electrical and electronic goods for leisure, entertainment and domestic appliances.
There is parking available outside and they also deliver and install. Fees may apply and also extended warranty is available.
The store has been invaded by Asians, so you will be greeted by Asian and Bollywood songs.

Very hard to find a shop adviser and those that are in carphone warehouse part of the store are easily found and very helpful. They will even point out where to find currys staff aka just go straight to the tills. The item i wanted was not on the shelf although no label to say out of stock. I asked at the tills and the lady said order it on line for pick up in store or home delivery as we don't have any. I went home and ordered it to store and was told to pick it up from store from now as they had lots in store. Extra journey for me could have been avoided. More annoying as i spent ages looking for an assistant before going to the tills to ask too and then this. Hopefully it gets better.

Called on Saturday to buy a tablet style laptop for a holiday. The one I wanted wasn't available and it was suggested I ordered online. I asked if it could be done in store and it was possible. I supplied my email address spelling my name. However I found that they'd still spelt it incorrectly. I also asked to pay for set up to talk to my phone. I was told to ask again and pay when I collected. This I did only to be told parts of what I wanted wasn't possible. Having had the set up done previously for myself at Trinity Square branch I took the tablet home.
Today I have been to Trinity Square who said they hadn't a clue what had happened yesterday. I now have a tablet doing what I requested yesterday. I can only assume the ones who served me couldn't be bothered, or didn't know as much as they made out.
I am delighted with Trinity Square but won't be bothering with Castle Marina branch again

They do have reduction sales on, so visit regularly. Recently I needed a washing machine and needed help and advice, it took ages before I found someone to help me. When I did they where helpful and friendly. Large car park in a large shopping complex

After having an awful experience at the Trinity Square store in Nottingham’s city centre, whilst trying to return a faulty laptop, I came here instead. Staff were understanding of my poor treatment, and were able to help me out with my refund that staff at the other store refused to do. Still quite shocked at the differences in customer service between the two stores, so I won’t be shopping at PC World again, but I cannot fault the staff at this store.

Castle Marina Nottingham store.
Bought a Smart TV from Currys at Castle Marina but, when we got it home, realised that we did not have a digital aerial to enable the HD functionality. We were not informed at the store that this would be a requirement but, to be fair, we did not specifically ask either. I called the customer service number and was told that it could be returned but at the managers discretion. The agent emailed the store with my details and, to my surprise, I received a phone call an hour later from the store manager, a gentleman named Vasco. After explaining the situation, he agreed that we should have been made aware that the HD picture quality would only be possible if we had a digital aerial. He was extremely polite and helpful, which is honestly not what I was expecting. Furthermore, he suggested I bring the unwanted TV back to the store for a full refund, which I did the following day. This resulted in me making a separate purchase of a microwave, something that I would never have done, had the manager not dealt with the situation as he did.
Full of praise for the manager and as long as he is there I will continue to shop at the store with the confidence that they take customer service seriously.

Curry's have an extensive collection of household electronic items starting from computing devices to kitchen appliances. They offer at reasonable prices and good discount offers. Also they have easy return policy and finance options. I bought my new Ipad 2018 from them and I am happy with it so far.

Thank the Lord for Currys, as electrical goods shops seem to be disappearing fast. However, make sure you know what you want to buy, and have a good idea of the specs required, as I rarely seem to find an assistant who knows anything goes more than a session with Google.
Though on this occasion I was assisted by a Samsung specialist, who demonstrated exactly what I needed (a soundbar), and steered me toward the better product, even though cheaper than the one I was looking at.

Ok if you know what you want. Staff more interested in talking between themselves and get mardy when you need to talk to them, and rush you through the sales process. Do your own research before stepping foot in the shop is my advice.

Helpful advice from the shop staff - to help me check the capacity of the PSU that I was wanting - and they also price-matched with online competitors - which I was really (pleasantly) surprised about!
The price-matching could really turn me from being an 'online 1st' shopper for computer components into a 'shop 1st' - which I am really surprised about.

Huge store with just about every consumer electronic you could possibly need. It is rather souless and in the face of internet competition, rather expensive. I do use them when I wish to see and handle what I am buying. I could have done with some help when looking for an item but could find no one available so left without making a purchase.

Like the new store layout which merges the old PC World and Currys. Good range of products covering all technologies including new stuff like home automation products, smatwatches as well as home appliances and entertainment stuff all in one store. Thought the collection of kitchen accessories like chopping boards was a bit out of place in a tech store but not a major complaint. Even the prices on a lot of products are quite competitive with online retailers these days.
