My hard drive decided to go wrong and I contacted Home Computer Help to sort it out. They downloaded the data from the hard drive and put in a new one. Uploaded the data and got everything working again. Very nice people to deal with and the cost was, for the work required, good value. Would definitely go to them again if I have future problems and no hesitation in recommending them.

I was nervous about seeking help with my computer skills but Kiran was very helpful and patient and I felt able to ask plenty of what are probably very basis questions without feeling stupid. He also set up my printer and sorted an antivirus problem. I was delighted with the service.

I then called your number, played the message to Jack who thought it could be a scam. It was at this point I decided to bring it to you for rectification. This was achieved within 2 days. My laptop screen died at the end of December 2020 and basically that was my small window to the world. Sad...Having searched the local repair shops, I've figured the Home Computer Help Ltd is a good fit since I am not a business entity and the like. Just a simple guy with an old laptop and a spare t-shirt. Joe answered the phone and I pushed all my sadness to him. Left the pc with him for evaluation and they were back to me the same day with confirmation of a dead screen, and what's the way to get the thing back to normal. Luke then emerged with a pro-advice on the screen selection and fixed it six hours after receiving the screen. How about that, huh? given the crazy times of closed shops and businesses. All in all, I'd like to Thank Home Computer Help, Joe and Luke for their friendly, understanding and professional approach to my case. A helpful response when I enquired for help, and a consequent home visit was arranged. The technician duly arrived, having contacted me beforehand and, having listened to my description of the problems I had encountered, proceeded to address and resolve the issues with my router setup. Upon his resolution of the problems he explained what he had needed to do.. and why. He further showed me an on-line display of the efficacy of the newly-installed setup, and then prompted me to test to range of the Wi-fi - much to my satisfaction. An all-round good service.

I cant thank the team enough for the help that they gave me. What I thought was a small problem just seemed to get bigger and bigger. They kept me informed at all times and didn't let any of it get to them even though most people would just say that will do. The young man that helped me sort it all out was very respectful and helpful (Im bad with remembering names but I think it was Lee (?)) I would recommend these guys before you go anywhere else. Like many people I use my laptop most days for banking, shopping, etc so when it wasn't working as it should I needed help, knowing very little about sorting out IT problems. I searched for a local company online and found Home Computer Help. They were excellent, came out the following day. It was necessary to take the laptop to their premises to sort out but I was updated daily regarding progress, helpful suggestions and an indication of the cost thus far. The lads were all younger than myself but never made me feel uncomfortable with regard to my lack of IT knowledge, but took the time to explain things clearly. I called on you originally as my printer wasn't printing correctly, two very nice lads arrived and worked hard to correct the problem, they did say a new hard drive would be needed in the future as the system was very slow which I agreed to, so long as everything was transferred .The computer was picked up and Jo worked on it he was very informative all the time . Two lads bought it back and set it up. I have to say they have all been very helpful, and have sorted a few extra things out for me. The problem for me now is it still isn't working how it was. They have talked me through a couple of problems on the phone which I have found very helpful. Ewan came back today as the printer wasn't printing correctly again, and I couldn't get it to scan. Also we couldn't get our field camera to transfer pictures. He did get the printer and camera working while he was here , and I think it was Ash who got the scanner working from the office. After Ewan left the I couldn't get into the camera program. So I have booked another call out for Monday. I will say I am not very computer knowledgeable and have found all the lads helpful and polite and determine to sort it out for me. I am just concerned that I have to keep calling them out as the computer is not working properly and each visit is costing me £58.00. Gave the guys at HCH a call after reading all the good reviews, my laptop was stuck in auto repair, they diagnosed that the HDD was failing. They managed to recover most of the data then installed a new SSD and a fresh version of Windows for me, my laptop is running like a new machine now. The service and communication from the guys was first class.

Today was my first experience with Home Computer. My issue although simple was dealt with very quickly and efficiently and given the available time remaining a further unconnected problem was also dealt with. I am extremely pleased to have found Home Computer and will use them again if necessary.

I had problems with the laptop I bought from Curry’s PC World about 3 years ago as it was continually booting in safe mode. I took it back to them with hope they’d be able to fix it or give some good advice. The ‘most technical’ member of staff there was no help as he gave no indication the hard drive was damaged and did not know the ‘fireworks’ sound was not the speakers; but the critically ill hard drive. There were lots of long pauses with puzzled looks and the suggestions I got were to pay for the laptop to be sent away, the hard drive to be removed and files transferred onto a new laptop - so I was looking at spending over £1000 for a similar specification laptop and for the file transfer. He did, however, give some useful advice and suggested I take the laptop to a private computer repair company. I think the term: ‘PC World’ is not the best description of that company. I emailed Home Computer Help, Ash got back to me the morning after and I booked the laptop in for a diagnosis. He diagnosed the now-dead hard drive and managed to replace it with a better one. Overall, the service from HCH was excellent, the staff were very knowledgeable and they managed to surpass the service which Curry’s PC World should’ve provided. Here’s my new slogan for Curry’s PC World: ‘’Our laptops are great, but we recommend taking it to another repair company if yours becomes faulty - take it to HCH!’’
