Absolutely excellent service! Really helpful, rapid response, and great communication. We got a same day visit and repair to a home computer. This was for our autistic son who lives through his PC. So such a quick response was a life saver! During the home visit my son was talked through all the diagnostic tests, repairs and given advice on long term use of his PC. Suffering weeks of network issues at home following on from a number of local power cuts, we found ourself with major issues connecting to the internet, which in turn affected Netflix, Prime Alexa etc etc. Really really frustrating. Dropped my MacBook off with Ian to see if possible to be repaired, once inspected I received an email report with highly detailed pictures of the internal damage highlighting the hazards the laptop posed to the user and was therefore decommissioned. One morning, without warning, my lap-top wouldn’t boot up, leaving me staring despairingly at a blank, black screen. I contacted Ian hoping that he could rescue the situation. Ian arrived early – having checked it was fine to do so – and made a quick initial diagnosis, before taking the time to confirm his first thoughts were correct. My hard-drive was backed up (relief!) and a new drive supplied and fitted and my data transferred to it. Ian then re-installed software and reactivated licences, things that even if I could have eventually managed would have caused me many headaches. Ian worked efficiently and for a very fair price. Happy to recommend him, and will definitely contact him for his services in the future, should the need arise.

Having had a ton of problems with my gaming PC I had shopped around and found someone via the internet who despite a couple of trips and a fair chunk of money left me in pretty much the same position. I decided to but a whole bunch of new parts and found Ian on the internet. He agreed a price upfront and a very appealing one at that to strip down my rig and rebuild it with all the new parts and a couple of the older ones. The job only took a couple of days and the results were amazing. The rig was put together immaculately the cable management... what cables :) he seriously did a fantastic job. Ian kept me informed throughout with photos text and videos and I couldn’t be more pleased. If you are considering work done on your gaming machine but are apprehensive due to it being “your baby” then look no further than Ian. Very professional with the care and detail as of it was his own machine!

I had 2 very slow computers which were driving me mad, an Apple Imac 7 years old and a Dell laptop about 5 years old. It took ages to open up even a single page word document! I was on the verge of replacing them when I found Ian/ MCS on the web and contacted him. I initially shared the specs of my computers with him. Ian picked up and delivered. The Dell was sorted on the same day and the Apple Imac by the next day. Both computers are now like “spring chickens” like when they were new. Technically the Imac is tricky to sort because the screen is stuck on with adhesive, but this was sorted. Both had the old slow hard discs replaced with SSDs (solid state drives) and both are really fast now. Ian is a pleasant and engaging guy, efficient and easy to deal with, explained the process well and his prices were fair. I would highly recommend him. Thank you, Ian

First Build : (Local Chappie) - keen and enthusiastic and full of good intentions - time passed - covid arrived - time passed - final delivery was exciting and was disappointing. - Benchmark runs showed system seriously under performing - BIOS RAM profiling issues evident - contacted local chappie - time passed - local fix attempted - time passed (3 weeks research) - BIOS fix applied, BIOS fix failed, pc unable to reboot - machine taken away for further investigations - more time passed - machine redelivered - BIOS RAM Profile issues resolved but bench mark figures even lower. - App, "Core Temp" showing CPU running at 97c (base load) - local chappie on holiday for two weeks - renewed lock down threats looming Second Build (Enter left stage... Ian - pc007 - Bond) - reached out to Ian for a steer - expressed my concerns re performance and overheating FROM FIRST CONTACT, - Ian engaged - Ian listened - Ian helped - Ian cared We exchanged emails: Ian ran comparative benchmark tests on his own rigs, confirming my system was running stupidly hot and was under performing I immediately commissioned Ian to take the pc away with the remit to resolve heating issues and to push performance bench mark figures upwards. Within 3 days Ian had my pc purring and showing massive improvements in in bench mark figures. He did many other things to best optimise pc airflow and heat distribution BUILD ONE = 12 weeks / covid) / major build issues BUILD TWO - 3 DAYS / sorted/ smile / happy days Ian - pc007 - Bond - you are a star Kudos to you for your professionalism, technical knowledge and personal courtesy MY THANKS :-)

I'd been having a lot of trouble with our computer. It got so bad that I luckily managed to find Ian online and he came out 2 hours later! Apparently I'd downloaded a fake Java upgrade which really slowed everything down as it had a lot of popups and adverts attached. Ian did a very good job of getting rid of everything I didn't need and he also downloaded Windows 8.1 for me. Everything's now working brilliantly so I'd certainly recommend him!

Ian arrived promptly on time, and also provided excellent customer service, letting me know before hand that he would be late due to a prior job going over time. While building the system up, Ian cleaned the CPU fan and applied fresh thermal paste to the components, and later on, set up the motherboards bios perfectly. He did in little over an hour, at my home, what it took my former choice PC store, a week to do at their premises. I think that it was a bit of a learning curve for both of us, since I had never used a Mini-ITX motherboard for a system build before, yet alone used a Thermaltake Core X1 case, which I think that we were both quite impressed with. I won't go back to the hell of leaving my only PC at the repair shop again, when I know that Ian is fully capable of repairing the system for me now, at my home. All in all, extremely satisfied. The system is up and running, if anything, better than it was before. To cap it off, Ian charged me £40 for the build, when by rights, he could have charged £60, given that he was here for little over an hour, which demonstrates honesty, and decency. You can't put a price on that. I have still to add a new M.2 SSD to the motherboard slot, and a new GPU. Needless to say that I will be contacting Ian again at some point within the next 6 months or so, since I don't upgrade my components all the time, but I do only stick with people whom I trust. If I didn't trust Ian, I wouldn't stick with him, yet alone give him a 5 star rating, but I am, so what does that tell you?
