I originally met this lovely group of lads when my laptop was giving me trouble and they repaired it. They even helped translate the high level IT talk to some level of understandable English for me so I knew what was wrong. Since then, I went to this local shop when I had an art project in mind and they happily assisted. I wanted to reuse broken CPU chips on this discworld-inspired camera and they went the extra mile and gave me a power button that I transformed into a large useable button. I love how it turned out! Whenever I'm in the market I know I can stop by to ask questions, I recommend you do the same. It's well worth trying to fix some of your technology before replacing it, and in many cases it'll be the cheaper choice too. 😊

Been coming here since I was little but last two times were uncomfortable, first time felt like I had to try and get both clerks attention often for something simple, felt like I had to lead the transaction. You couldn’t ask for better service than I received today. I called Mike-o-Soft when I was struggling to get a custom-built PC to boot. I was patiently talked through the solution by an expert, who didn’t take the opportunity to make me bring my computer into the shop unnecessarily and charged me nothing for his advice - which worked like a charm. I messaged Mike-O-Soft on Sunday about my PS4 and whether I could bring it in, they responded quickly and I was able to bring it in Monday at 10:00 and by 14:00 I had a diagnosis, and he told me he could fix it. On the call he gave me a price and said he can put the PS4 back together with the new pieces needed and it would be ready for pickup by 15:00. I was given a warranty and my PS4 sounds so much better, highly recommend!

Went to use my PC one day and there was no life in it, took it here and they booked me in next day, called me to explain to me what was wrong, what my options were and the finances involved. Called in for advice and hoped for parts to do a PC system rebuild, despite small size of shop in marketplace they had just what I needed. Probably one of the nicest people around! what other repair centres were taking weeks to diagnose (liquid damage), these guys were not only able to diagnose it; but were also able to fix it in a day. My MacBooks now as good as new! Big ups to you guys

I popped down to these guys after my laptop decided that it no longer wanted to work. The guys there were brilliant and pushed my laptop through as urgent as I needed to use it on that day. Had an old USB flash drive I'd broken years. Ago but kept the internals.. I kept it with some hope I'd maybe get it fixed one time as it had old photos and data on that I hadn't backed up anywhere. Spoke with AJ, a staff member online.. He said bring it down... Within 30 minutes he'd resoldered the drive and added a capacitor and got the drive going after about 8 years of it sitting in my draw. I thought the data was lost forever. I was extremely pleased. I now have access to a device I thought was never going to be accessible again. All done with a great, friendly manner and at extremely fair prices. I don't rate many pc stores (PC world etc) these guys at Mike-o-soft are top notch on their knowledge and great attitude.. I would highly recommend.

Highly recommended. I have been there to repair my laptop's hinge and its base. They are very friendly and more than in professional. As they see my laptop said the hinge is broken and we might need change the base as well. For me it meant they know what they are doing (Because before going there I opened my laptop and Knew what is the problem). I have bought a Pre-built gaming pc, wanna upgrade the intel stock cpu fan due to poor performance, unable to do it at home as this pc needs to take the whole motherboard out in order to put a new fan in. I then went to these guys, they provided professional opinions about cpu cooling and explained everything very thoroughly. Done it quickly with no issue. When visiting Swansea recently (on one of my very rare occasions) I decided, when passing the Market Entrance to call in to the computer stall (Mike-O-Soft Computers) to investigate new/used tower cases for a project I had in mind. I found the lads busy, but they still managed some time to talk to me, after a discussion, I was offered a second hand tower case at a cost that would have been churlish for me to refuse. I now have an ideal case for my project, the lads were very knowledgeable, friendly, and offered good advice. I would recommend them to anyone looking for computer components or advice regarding their systems.

Just moved to Wales recently and didn't know about this great little shop well hidden in the Swansea market . First I went to Swansea PC world to get some 4 to 8 pin power connector for motherboard . Staff didn't know what i was actually talking about and eventually told me that they didn't have it even tho it is available on their website. However the chap from PC world recommend a small shop in Swansea market called Mike o soft. Went straight there and boom ! Straight away chap in charge ( I guess it was Mike I was dealing with) went through dozens of little draws with all the bits and pieces and presented me with two different options of the connector I needed. Also advised me that I will ideally need draw the extra 12v power from the PSU to the extra 4 pins instead of just bridging them . Even tho I knew this it was nice of him to remind the customer about how to do things properly. Straight away you know that you are dealing with knowledgeable man ! Now ! This morning I called the shop to see if they have a pc case available with front optical drive panel and they said that they do so I drove straight there. Unfortunately on arrival we got the case out from the box and it turns out it wasn't suitable for fitting the optical drive at the front. Nearly disappointed I was just about to leave the premises when the chap told me to wait and ask if I would be interested in second hand tower as a compensation for my time . He then brought a proper full size tower from the back room , fitted some screws for side panels and told me that I can have it!!!! And when I asked if I can pay for it they said that I can have it free of charge ! ! Absolutely best service around ! Been there only twice so far but will definitely go more for all my computer needs. So a big big thank you to the team ! ! ! Fantastic service and customer support ! Don't bother with PC world good people. Just go there !!!

My laptop wouldn't start up and I took it in to be looked at. They called me approximately 2 hours after I left it with them and I picked it up later that day. Starting out on a new career path and needed advice on buying a computer and separate monitor. I was served by Rory and A.J. Great pair of guys who like what they do and are happy to pass on advice and guidance without the need for customers to feel under pressure to buy. I am happy to say i bought a Lap - Top and a separate monitor. The guys demo'd everything and when i returned to buy the monitor they set everything up and made sure it all worked. I even had the office icons loaded and set where i wanted them! You don't get that level of service everywhere. I found this gem from a Google search. Really pleased i did! Recommend these guys totally. A used lap top but you would never know and warranty included for a great price. This outfit deserves to be on a more central location in Swansea - for now visit the Indoor Market and you'll find them. Thanks to you both.

Both friendly and very professional. Unlike the larger companies such as PC World and John Lewis where I have sent my laptop for repairs before and had to wait two weeks on top of a load of extra charges, these guys repaired my laptop in the space of one hour and were completely honest with me in terms of cost, and what the problem was. I have an ac er laptop from 2008 as new . Now in 2019 was so slow and troublesome stopping rebooting with simple word editing and paint. These guys at Mike-o-Soft carried out a full refurbishment, recovery, memory and hard drive update. Basically they know what to do and how, from delicate soldering on pcb, including replacing bios IC to coding and much more. Thank you very much , done a great job on a friendly price and saved me to buy a new! So the old ac er aspire now is faster than it was 11 years ago originally I would highly recommend Mike-o-Soft for anybody !

Since i'm not too great with the technical side of computers in maintenance and repairing problems, my dad referred me to Mike-o-Soft in Swansea's market! After taking my computer down to the stall, they checked it found out the issue's helped me sort things out and fixed everything! The service is extremely good and much better than Currys/PC World by far! Don't let the scale of the stall in the market for the store, the staff that work there are awesome and work extremely well, they have a vast array of parts and a lot of advice for everything to do with computers!
