What a brilliant shop! Now my favourite retailer in Swindon. A huge range of beautiful lighting, I could have bought up half the shop. Both Laura and Tracey were incredibly helpful, friendly and so knowledgeable. I cannot recommend the Lighting Bug too highly. Thank you.

We went to the Swindon store having looked at the website, with a few ideas in mind for our 17th century home that we needed lighting for. We explained to Laura what we were trying to do in one room. Laura took us through vaious options and showed us a number of lights and combinations, rom very expensive to moderately priced lighting options. She was not pushy just helpful and genuinely pleased that we walked out with what we wanted, which was somewhat different to our ideas. Now you would not get that searching on line, being able to see your choices and physically comparing all. It's a good store with huge choices. I recommend it.

We've used them for years for everything from replacement bulbs for the cooker hood to the lighting and fittings for a large extension to the house.
What I like here is that the team are so friend and helpful, and the advice and support have been consistent excellent.
Whatever we've needed, they've always had a good answer and almost always had it in stock.
On the few occasions they haven't, it's been ordered and available really fast.
And it's nice to have a place where they know their products, offer helpful advice, and can actually advise you, to avoid nasty surprises.
No hesitation in recommending them.

Well beyond expectations!
We were looking to find a light fitting to match existing fittings, but found the range had been discontinued.
Unlike other suppliers we tried, who just cancelled our order, Laura phoned to explain item discontinued and offered to try to locate one for us.
Laura managed to track one down for us, from another source, so completing our set.
We are very impressed by the level of service, and the follow up calls to explain what was happening.
Certainly would recommend and will be my first port of call for my next project.

My husband and I visited the Lighting Bug over the Christmas, New Year break to look at lights. After my most favourite light dying on us we needed to go and search for something similar. Easier said than done! With the change over to LED lighting coming in the future it is not easy to find something that we like and is affordable, despite the shop having the most amazing selection. The ladies in the shop couldn't have been more helpful, particularly Sally. She spent ages with us, looking through catalogues to try to find what we are wanting. After finding something, we were still going to have a similar problem with the fitments etc. We left the shop, feeling disappointed not to have got something there and then, but was promised a phone-call with all of the information we needed. Sally phoned yesterday to say, she was sorry, but the light fixture we liked wasn't compatible with what we are looking for. BUT she was going to keep looking through the catalogue and would get back to us if she found something appropriate. She was not just fobbing us off. Although we haven't bought anything yet, we were incredibly impressed with the customer service, and the engagement of the staff to help. I would recommend to anyone looking for new lights - this is the place to go.

Nice shop, plenty of choice. It is a bit pricey though. Saw a light we liked, then found the same light just around the corner in B & Q for 2 3rd of the price. Shame, as it's a lovely little shop. Great for inspiration and ideas. Staff were lovely. Easy to find and free parking.

Haven't received my bulbs yet after a week n 3 days.. they called me on the 8th working day to say the supplier didn't put my order in?? 12 quid it's cost me .. so not good service.. disappointed.. very..

Just popped in, and found a lot to like! Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We had no problem with buying some lights on the spot. Would go there again and recommend it to anyone who needs some lights. Quite a range, some of which can be pricey though

My wife and I felt like we had been everywhere looking for a light for our kitchen, until we found Lighting Bug. They have a huge selection in their showroom, but their biggest asset is their attentive staff who really listen to your needs.
We had found something that we both sort-of liked while browsing the showroom, and were shown similar entries in catalogues that they had. As we were browsing through the catalogues my wife and I were commenting on various aspects of lights that we did and did not like. We both felt like we were getting to a stage where we were going to compromise to get something that we could both tolerate to save ourselves from having to look at even more lights.
However, the assistant that had been helping us had been listening to our comments to understand what we wanted. They then presented a page of a catalogue and asked our opinion of a light that they thought would suit our needs. It was exactly what we were looking for, and I don't think either of us had been looking for something in that particular style.
We are both very grateful for the excellent service and I am sure we will return when we need lights in the future.

We inherited a house that needed everything doing to it, one area was the electrics and lighting of the house. We were recommended to Lighting Bug by a friend and my wife and I found them to be extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional in their advice and their recommendations. They have so many products on show, it is a plethora of lighting and shades.
Finally, we visited them during the COVID period and their awareness of how to run a shop, protect people and ensure all guidelines were adhered to.

What superb service - we broke the glass shade of a very old lamp and on the off chance of being able to replace it (it's 35 years old) took it into the Swindon branch. My wife was treated sympathetically and too her surprise was offered the choice of not one but three options. The best bit was the assistant even removed the broken glass and fitted the new lamp shade - oh and all for the princely sum of £3.99. Thank you

what a refreshing shopping experience. Only place I could find a replacement for a very old light fitting which I didn't know the name of. Turned out to be a double ended tubular bell striplite. Staff were exceedingly helpful. it is so rare to see such good customer service nowadays. Especially that one of my questions was not related to their shop and they could have easily answered no, but instead found the information for me. Thank you so much for lighting up my day.

Excellent customer service! I rang Lighting Bug because I was having problems obtaining a Franklite table lamp to match a standard lamp that I already had. Apparently the table lamp had been discontinued. Jo, at Lighting Bug, was really helpful, offering to check the stock room and ring me back. Amazingly Lighting Bug still had one left, and Jo stayed on the phone whilst I ordered online to ensure my order came through OK. The lamp was then promptly posted to me. It was well-packaged and has been safely received; it looks beautiful in my room. Thanks Lighting Bug.

I ordered two light fittings online and had a phone call the following day to apologise saying that the fittings were discontinued and my money had been refunded. I then got an email apologising again and saying that they would try to find somethings similar. Well I went into the showroom today and was most delighted to received what I can only describe as good old fashioned service. Some of the light fittings in there are eyewateringly expensive, so our rather modest spend may have been seen by some stores to be unimportant but nothing was too much trouble for the young man who served us. This is absolutely 5 star service and I would recommend The Lighting Bug to anyone and everyone.
