I came to North West PC Doctors with my custom built PC which was having severe internet connectivity issues. To put it simply I have absolutely no regrets and would wholeheartedly recommend this service. The issues with my computer were thoroughly resolved and an extremely reasonable price was charged. The repair took only four days during which time I received updates on my computer's condition, which is a great reassurance. The service is professional in every regard; the communication system is well organised, the logging system that is used is well thought out and efficient, the member of staff (Paul) was friendly, polite and clearly knew what he was talking about. He was able to discuss the problems with me upfront and came up with a plan of action on the spot and explained everything to me. Communication over the phone was also very good. I cannot find any criticism of this service and would therefore advise anyone who is having trouble with a computer, not to hesitate in using North West PC Doctors.

Hard drive problem with a failing elderly laptop was diagnosed at the counter and terms were agreed. A fully rebuilt computer was collected 24 hours later and is now back in use. An excellent service at a reasonable price !

Excellent service, unfortunately my lap top could not be repaired. They purchased an additional piece of equipment to see if it could be fixed. Unfortunately it couldn't - what else could I expect when I knocked a full glass of red wine over it!! Fully expected to pay for the time involved and the additional piece of equipment. However, as my laptop could not be fixed I was not charged anything. This chap really knows his IT stuff and gave me lots of pointers when deciding on a new one. I asked Paul today to fix an overheating problem on my HP laptop. I left it with him mid morning and was able to collect it at 3.30pm. The price was both reasonable and what I had expected. I've not yet had it back long enough to recreate the problem conditions - eg a major Windows update or a load of post processing of digital photographs. However, I immediately noticed that on booting up the laptop it was completely silent. It has been quite noisy for a while. So that's already a great omen. Paul was very patient and helpful when I explained the symptoms and, when I collected the repaired machine, he even had photographs to show me the before and after images. I'm really pleased. I have had a number of dealings with Paul at the PC Doctors, and all occasions I have found him to be professional and knowledgeable. On one occasion I requested that he upgraded my laptop processor and added additional ram, upon stripping down the laptop Paul advised me that neither was required as a processor and memory was all that the laptop required. He could have charged me for doing what I requested but he was honest and trust worthy and people like this are very hard to find in business. Very convenient that I could drop off my laptop at Paul's house in Warrington, it was then taken away to the repair shop in St Helens and returned as promised within 48 hours. Although not the result I wanted (my motherboard had simply died!) Paul explained clearly what had happened and as agreed he backed up all of my data, plus took out the hard drive and popped it into a caddy so i'm ready to transfer to my next new machine. Took my laptop PC doctors for an MOT but things didn't turn out to be that simple. Due to a virus it took a complete wipe of the system and a re-install to fix. There then followed difficulties with bit-locker and all sorts of issues. However, Paul stuck to it and eventually sorted it all out, charging me the original price even though he had spent hours and hours on it. I would definitely recommend PC Doctors to anyone!

Been searching for someone to repair my sons Playstation 4 in my local area of Wigan and couldn't find anyone. Came across PC doctor in St Helens, rang to ask if could look at it and immediately said yes. Took the console down Monday 22nd late afternoon and told him what the problems was, he said he would diagnose and email back with the problem and cost to fix. Got email Wednesday to say problem was hard drive which I suspected and asked if I wanted it repaired or not, didn't even charge for a diagnostic. Advised yes and he said it would be ready few hours later. Arrived at the shop and the playstation was ready, he even had it plugged in and showed me on a big screen that everything was working. I would highly recommend PC doctor, I had to go 10 miles out of town to get this fixed but from start to finish the whole service was outstanding. So pleased that I found PC Doctor. I rely on my home PC for my business but have little idea how to fix things when anything goes wrong. I've always had anti virus software, so when lots of 'little' things started to go wrong with the running of my PC, a Sony Vaio, I didn't imagine it was a virus. Eventually the problems with operating my PC got quite bad and I needed help. Paul has been fantastic - really listening to my terrible explanation about what was wrong and providing much needed reassurance that everything would be ok! After a couple of days away I got my PC back in fantastic working order. I hadn't realised how slow the machine had got and how many things were 'damaged' until I got it back. Got to watch one of the repairs, and I definitely came to the right place. If you don't know anything about HP Pavillion dv6 laptops, you basically have to dismantle the entire thing to get to the fan. Amazing to watch, but definitely couldn't have done it myself. used pc doctors for the first time they fixed my laptop in two days ,service is second to none I did not have to ring them to find out what was happening they text me with updates of what was going on all the way through the process, which is completely different from more high profile repair places, where you are the one ringing them getting no information because no body knows, being given a time scale they don't keep to, then yes as we all know it has had to be sent away.This place has none of that which makes them very unusual , so all I can say is give them a try and I think you will be very pleased with the service
