R. D.One day while walking to work I saw men working on transforming a front garden to a nice tarmacked driveway. In less than a week the transformation was complete. I had been looking around for someone to do our front garden into a front driveway. Penwood drive was not the cheapest quote given to me, but actually seeing how professional they were says a lot for the company. As most of the other reviews say what a fantastic person Patrick is, was no exaggeration. He was kind, courteous, and professional all the way through.
The five days the company were here had different groups of men specializing in different areas.
Monday One group cleared the old garden and put the hardcore down.
Tuesday and Wednesday, the wall was built by a second group of men.
Thursday a group of men expertly laid the outer edging around the driveway creating areas for insets so that we could put flowers back in, and bricking around a sentimental rose tree given to us many years ago. One problem that came to light on this day was a larger than normal stepdown from the main front door due to the drive being levelled off slightly lower than before. I rang Patrick, and he got to brick layers immediately to create a step (which was absolutely beautiful workmanship)
Friday, the final group of men came and put the tarmac down and cleared the site completely of any remaining rubble.
As I said earlier Penwood Drives only seem to have quality craftsmen to do the various stages of the transformation. All were polite and courteous and considering they worked the week that Britain got its highest temperatures, (with plenty of nice cold water to drink) they all worked extremely hard

Since we have had the drive done many people have stopped us whilst outside and commented on what a transformation it was and, how nice and pleasing it looks. That is in testament itself from others as well as from ourselves.

s. b.Penwood drives carried the complete renovation of our drive, digging up the old tarmac drive and replacing it with a fantastic block pavers of our chose. They came up with various options on the design for us to select. Patrick was involved at each stage of the process, making sure that everything was carried out as per the quotation. The drive was completed on time without extra costs. Having completed this work I also got Penwood Drives to carry out the resurfacing of the tarmac at my offices, which was carried out to a very high standard.

Drive looks great. Only just finished so time will tell but appears to be a sound job. Had a minor issue with 2 bricks at the end of a tiered wall becoming unseated, probably when the vibrating roller was used for the tarmac, but Patrick came back to sort within a week. So far, so good.
