The team at S & S Building & Roofing, once again delivered a first class quality and service. I have used this company on a number of occasions and they have exceeded my expectations every time. The extensive roof repairs undertaken were on a Grade II listed property in a conservation area. The work was carried out with professionalism, high skill and on time. I was given photographs and a full brief at the end of each day and upon completion, I was presented with a full guarantee for the major work carried out. I would highly recommend this company and thank Ben and Simon for their commitment

Our roof was replaced by another contractor at the end of 2021 but when we had the high winds in February, part of the roof blew off! S&S Building and Roofing came out quickly and identified that there were many problems caused by the previous contractor and that the roof needed to be completely replaced! They responded quickly and were able to start almost immediately, which was a great relief. Throughout the time they were with us, it was clear that they were working hard and effectively and we are very pleased with the result. We were very impressed with Tommy, the team leader, who was committed to completing the job professionally and who worked hard and cheerfully; and Simon was always involved in the background. S&S always made sure that the roof was waterproof, at all stages of the work, which was also a relief. In summary, we have been very pleased with the work carried out by S&S and would be happy to recommend them to anyone requiring roof work. We only wish we had appointed them in the first place!

Richard and the crew erected the tricky scaffolding to a high standard and Billy and his team carried out the chimney repair plus the verge, ridge, hip and valley stripping and re-bedding well. A great company with friendly installers who answered any questions readily. After a top quality tricky scaffolding installation work was completed and scaffold removed to the supplied schedule just over 2 weeks from accepting the quote. All work was completed as I requested. Having had what I believed to be a reputable roofer to install a roof down the side of my house in Feb 2021, it was not too long before issues raised their heads. I used S&S to inspect and repair the issues. The inspection was incredibly thorough and all issues raised have now been corrected. The communication through the whole project was excellent and the final job is brilliant to say the least. I wish I had chosen these guys the first time round. For future projects, S&S will be my first choice from now on.

At last a builder who is excellent. I had lost my faith in builders after a rubbish job which entailed a new flat roof and that was a builder from Checkatrade so don't go by them. The S & S team worked so hard during the heat of the last two days to get it finished by any downpours today and they delivered a class standard second to none. Not only that but the lads were so polite and tidied up so well. I test the system of how tidy they are if they shove everything in the wheelie bin without bagging. They didn't even use the wheelie bin, they took it all away, cans, pizza box, water bottles, the lot Wonderful. I've never met any firm like them. They kept me updated, answered all my questions [and those were a lot!] I have the highest regard for them. I am going to put two pics on this review. One is the charcoal felting done by the Checkatrade bloke and one is the red felting done by S&S Building. You will see what I mean.

First of all when I contacted S&S they were honest and upfront. They gave me a realistic timescale and confidence they would stick to it, when i first spoke to simon I told him i wanted the job done by christmas, he then stated we can get you in and done way before then. Work started early September. If I had any doubts before start they soon went once i saw a huge lorry outside with all the materials been delivered and once that was delivered I thought yes I've done the right thing. Finally a building/roofing firm that honor their words! I had a small extention on the rear and a new roof to the lower porch and main roof of the house all completed to a very high standard. Previously I have had builders try to tell me what I should have done and what they would do , clearly not listening to what I actually wanted done! Most didn't even turn up to quote! So a big thankyou to S&S team it is exactly as I imagined and exactly what i wanted! I am very satisfied customer.

All waste collected and disposed of within 2 days. No heavy truck on my drive way, or skip damaging my garden. Fantastic job at a reasonable price, Started with a roof leak, Ben and Jess came round to do the quote... and arranged date for following week, that night leak got much worse and was pouring in with all the recent rain. Rang Ben told me what to do from inside to stem the flow...came straight round the following day and did an emergecy repair...no more ingress...Arrived on time on arranged date...Ben Mike and Justin worked tirelessly all day with a good sense of humour...till the job was done about 7pm Fantastic Job, had repair done, ridges re set, bottom wraps done and a full de moss...roof looks like new...clean up was brilliant no mess and also cleaned up neighbours gardens where moss had fallen...gutters cleaned as well...Very highly recommended A++++ Will use again in future for any building /roofing work well done lads....
