Bill responded quickly to my request for a quote. After that, he made it easy for me to book in the job. Bill came when he said he would come. He carried the work out professionally. I have now used Bills services on a number of occasions including addressing a damp issue, plastering a toilet and resolving a deep crack on a stairwell. I don’t normally leave reviews but Bill Bell Damp proofing has done such a good job I felt compelled to. The job involved a large basement flat with a lot of damp issues of various kinds. He tackled the task cheerfully and skilfully. All I did was make him tea (with plenty of milk) and he just ploughed on. He always arrived on time when he said he would and cleared up before he left. I would recommend him without hesitation for any kind of damp problems.

Bill had promised to render our wall sometime in August, despite busy times he turned up on time (even at 8am on a bank holiday) and completed the work in two days. The standard of the work was excellent, Bill worked hard for two long days with minimal affect on us - in fact you would not have known any work had been done as he was so tidy and cleaned up after the work was done. Bill's number will be in my phone for future use and I would have not problem recommending him - very professional, friendly and hard working.

I was nervous about having internal damp proofing and plastering work done to my living room and had many people come and quote for the work, however as soon as Bill came to diagnose the problem I knew he was an expert in his field, who clearly understood and explained the problem and was able to provide the solution. I was very impressed from the start with Bill’s quick response and upon meeting, his diagnosis of the damp problem. He clearly explained how he was going to remedy the situation and forwarded me a very competitive quote with detailed planes and schedule of works. I unexpectedly was away on the day he came but a neighbour let him. When I came back the bulk of the heavy work had been done, all building detritus removed from site and everything was remarkably clean and dust free. The remainder of the work was done very professionally and to a very neat high standard. Bill cleaned to room in question along with the hallway and door steps, even to the street. Incredible standard of work and a great chap to chat with too. He has already quoted for work in an another room for later this year. I’d definitely recommend Bill.

Bill and Chris have been great to work with to damp proof and sound proof some of the rooms in our house. Very good communication from start to finish on what we needed doing. When the house threw curve balls at us Bill let us know what was possible and when and cracked on, even handling my lack of project management skills with patience, to ensure he was done to agreed schedule. Having to work from home during this work I appreciated the effort to keep the place accessible and livable despite the amount of dust and rubble our dodgy walls ended up producing. Our decorator even commented on how easy his job was due to the extremely smooth plaster finishing as this meant barely any sanding down required before painting. I would happily use Bell Plastering again and recommend Bill as a reliable, decent guy.
