We first contacted Edgar for roof repairs caused by storm damage a few months ago which he did an excellent job on. We have since had him back to replace all our facias, soffits, gutters etc and two outside doors. Edgar and his team were very professional, polite and friendly and all the work looks great. We definitely recommend him.

Edgar and his staff gave a really competitive quote, turned up on time each day and made a superb job of replacing my flat roof, guttering, work around chimney and replacing fascia boards where necessary. Latwood initially did minor roof repairs for us. The work was sensibly priced, the guys arrived on time, did the agreed work (and a little extra for no charge) and left no mess. We knew that a chimney stack needed work and Edgar was happy to quote. Based on the initial work we were happy that Edgar and his team would do a good job. This proved to be the case. They did a great job and again, left no mess. Edgar and his team are very reliable, hardworking and helpful. We have recommended them to neighbours who have seen their work, and recommend him to you too for general roofing work.

Edgar carried out a front roof renovation on our 1905 house in Knowle, Bristol. From the onset Edgar was professional, giving us a comprehensive written quotation, a potential start date and a duration. Once the work was started he was a pleasure to deal with and the work was carried out in an excellent manner. There was one small additional item of work that was required which was priced fairly and carried out with in the original duration quoted. I work in the construction industry and would say that Edgar was in the top percent of tradesman around and would not hesitate to recommend Latwood

Edgars was a great hire - I highly recommend him. We had a split ridge board and a seriously sagging roof, and he offered either a cheaper, quicker fix or a more thorough rebuild with zero pressure on us to choose the more expensive option. He worked through 28 degree heat all day, reused any material he could, and was polite and good humoured throughout.The work has been done to an excellent standard, and the cost was sound - a good fee for a professional job, but nowhere near as expensive as some quotes. We also recommended him to a neighbour who was very grateful. Finally - and this is important - Edgars was extremely considerate not to disrupt us as we worked from home, and he was fastidious in his clean-up after finishing each day.

We got recommended Edgar by a friend and he built a deck for us in the garden. We are over the moon with it. The standard is really high and you can tell he is a perfectionist. Edgar and his team are excellent. If my house had more than one roof, I would use Latwood again. But unfortunately, he's done such a great job on the one roof I do have, I can't offer him any more work. Polite, very hardworking, price compared well to other quotes, experienced. When decisions were needed he came to me promptly, explained it all clearly. Often I would ask what in his professional judgement was the best option. Gave a good explanation, we agreed a decision and then he got on. Which is really important. Some contractors seem to just plough on, make mistakes and then you're in a mess trying to back track. Others seem to be unable to make progress without asking for an instruction on every last thing. Edgar and team know how to do a good job, know how to work well with a client, and my roof is looking great.
