Jamie and his team recently completed a large job on two blocks of flats for myself. The flats have experienced many issues over the last few years due to poor workmanship from other contractors, so we were nervous when choosing a company to complete the works needed. However, Jamie and his team did a fantastic job at installing our new roofs. The job was finished on time and the site was left spotless after the works completed. During the works we experienced some bad weather over a weekend which resulted in an issue on the roof, upon contacting Jamie he was out within half an hour with some of his team to rectify it. Jamie was always prompt to get back to me and kept us in the loop during all stages of the project. Would highly recommend them as a professional and reliable company to do business with.

On March 1st 2018 a mini "twister" hit Pontyclun in the midst of the snow blizzard. At it's brief high point a neighbour described how the felt roof of my father in law's double garage was torn off in one movement. Another neighbour described it being almost vertical before collapsing on itself at the back end of the garage (first picture). This Wizard of Oz moment caused me great anxiety as I am now responsible for the house since my father in law died. The collapsed felt took out some guttering and exposed the simple wooden planks underneath. I was only able to get to the house two days later and found water pouring through the roof onto the tools, and the electrics of an expensive automatic roller door. So I needed a reliable roofer - and urgently!! Anyone looking through the large selection of roofers will find there seems to be quite a choice. Until, that is, you start reading independent reviews when your worst fears are realised -yep there are a lot of cowboys out there!! I spent a few hours searching around on the net, but one name seemed to stand out all the time in terms of reliability, value and professionalism. So I gave Jamie a ring and he turned up the early the next morning at the property. He took me through the whole process of repair using a specially developed plastic membrane, gave me sample material, a booklet, and a quote which, although not cheap, compared well to comparable quotes for that material. Having read up on the merits of various roofing materials it was clear you me that felt and fibre glass have had their day for flat roofs. I will have to sell the house in a few months and it seemed to me that a high quality roof with a 20 year guarantee would be a great additional selling point!! Having stressed the urgency of the job, Jamie rearranged some jobs so that it could be completed a few days later. I pointed out that there were additional problems. The roof was partly attached to the roof of a neighbours extension, and some guttering had been broken- Jamie assured me that this would be sorted out on the day. So the day came for the repair and two lads turned up at 8.00 am prompt. Immediately they set to work with a reassuring confidence. The overall repair took about 6 hours, quicker than normal, since it was "helped" by the poor standard of the previous felt roof- this had come off with little residual tar on the planks- i.e. the previous roof indicated very poor workmanship. The original roof planks were covered by some very solid plywood boards and cut to perfection to fit the roof profile. There followed another carefully prescribed process to safely secure the plastic membrane to give a stunning overall finish. The boys even went to Leekes to buy some replacement guttering and brackets to achieve a "seamless" repair, and sorted out the problem of the adjoining neighbours roof ! Throughout the entire process, Jamie has kept in touch, and responded quickly to any phone calls or messages and I have no hesitation in highly recommending Jamie, the product he uses, and the teams he employs.

Having contacted Jamie Burley Flat Roofing for a quotation, they arrived quickly to measure up and advise on various aspects of what would be required. Within an hour I had a full written quote, which was excellent. Having agreed to carry out the work I was called by Jamie himself to confirm the date of the work, at which point they arrived at 8:30 to start. There were 4 men in total and they worked together like clockwork and the job was finished by early afternoon and having cleaned up all residual waste materials, my garden looked as though they had never been there. My flat roof looks superb and I have just booked them to come back and carry out some more work. Very impressed with a thoroughly professional service.

Just had a new flat roof with lantern window completed by Jaime Burley. Initial consultation was very good. He asked the right questions and was also not afraid to offer suggestions; often find tradesman only follow requests. The suggestions he offered were backed up with good reasoning. The quote was detailed & clear. Also assuring to see it included pictures of what will be taking place and certificates of trade bodies he is certified by. Due to poor weather there was only a 2 day window to get the job done. Jaime ensured this would be done by using a team of 8 workers. Both days they cleaned up before leaving, especially useful when you return from work with two young children in tow. Picking who to choose for a job is always difficult as you don't want a cowboy. Rest assured Jaime is one of the good guys with the quality of work very high!

Very professional, quick, efficient and reliable. Quite honestly the best tradespeople I've used on the house thus far. Have had bad experiences in the past for very shoddy workmanship with typical cowboy builders and continually chasing other people to finish so I always look at reviews with my eyes open. If you've been stung in the past, rest assured, this company have been great. I cannot fault them at all. They turned up on time at 8.30am, brought a whole team with them and just got stuck in. I had a new surface on my flat roof, along with a new skylight installation in the kitchen and a refit of an old skylight over the bathroom. They were finished just after 2pm. I can't fault the workmanship and they left the place cleaner and tidier than when they first arrived. Great set of guys. If only they did other trades, I would've happily had them out to do my whole house!

New flat roof with lantern After moving into our new house we were looking for a company to install a new flat roof complete with a large lantern. Hello Everyone, Firstly I would like to thank everyone for taking the time out and reading this review. We are a family who bought their home a few months back. We had an extension built, after the work was completed we came to the stage where we needed the roof built from scratch, we wanted the extension to be finish in cladding. After getting quotes from very reputable roofers in Cardiff. I really don't want to name and shame anyone. The quotes were very high and their availability was so limited. It was at this point I came across JAMIE BURLEY ROOFING. Well what can I say from the point of getting the quote to the time the work started was days not weeks or months. The job was carried out to a very high standard and completed with a week. The roof had to be totally built from scratch and the whole of the extension had to be cladded. JAMIE and his team are very professional people who thrive on producing wonderful pieces of art.
