We were looking to replace an existing patio which had been down for over 20 years and was now in a poor state of repair. Erik came to quote for the work and we were very impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. He provided us with a few ideas of how to proceed and gave a detailed quote by email. We were impressed by the detailed quote, which was very competitive and agreed to proceed. Despite some extremely wet weather at the start of the project Erik and the lads turned up every day to get the preparation work done. Erik kept me informed throughout the process and had solutions for problems as they arose. We were very pleased with the outcome - the patio and walled border were completed to a very high standard and Erik had thought of every detail. Erik was always very polite and I would not hesitate to recommend Erik and his workmanship - it was a pleasure to have him carry out the work.

Erik came and looked at what needed to be done, i.e. lay patio paving on prepared ground, discussed what was needed and started the next day. Sourced crushed stone and weed control barrier and laid that day, found an alternative supply of paving, as at the height of the Covid-19 Lockdown, Marshalls could not supply and started laying the paving that day. He improved the steps down into the garden and put in a pair of steps to the patio doors. All completed in 6 days. We are pleased with how it looks, apart from the PVA splash stains on the paving, which spoils an otherwise good job.

Although the work was carried out during difficult times, reduced trading hours and stock levels, our patio was completed in the 10 days estimated. We spent months trying to find the right person to help with both the front driveway and back garden.We liked the reviews that had been written about Erik and the quality of work displayed. Erik provided a comprehensive quotation and although our work took a little longer than expected we are absolutely over the moon with the results. Have attached a few before and after photos. Erik and all the workers he employed during our 7 weeks transformation were always extremely polite and hardworking. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his services. After 4 years of not having a garden that was safe or private to be able to enjoy, we decided to get some quotes for laying a patio and replacing the low-lying fence that had started falling apart between our property and next door's. Although all of the quotes that we got were similar in price, we felt that Erik's quote offered better value for money – it wasn't simply a case of laying a patio and replacing a fence, it had landscaping at its heart. He even e-mailed us a detailed written quote, something that we didn't get from the other companies, and so we felt confident in asking him to do the work for us. Erik and his team of workers were polite, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. They worked hard, sometimes late into the evening, through heavy rain, hail, wind and hot weather to get the work done. Erik was very accommodating when we asked him to do extra work for us (rip out a scruffy hedge and install a fence in its place on the other side of the garden), and he was also very patient whenever we were undecided about anything. We hadn't expected the amount of preparation work needed for any aspect of the work, but this never phased him or his team and the price didn't change (other than paying the extra for the additional fence). Even with the additional work that we asked Erik to do, the work was completed within the timescale given. Our garden has been transformed and we can't believe the difference. Even our families have been impressed with the work. We would and have recommended Parkstone Wales to family and friends, and have even had Erik back out to quote for work to the front of our house.

We moved into a new build house in December 2019. The house is exactly what we wanted but the garden was a nightmare. It was turfed & fenced but it was very uneven & the fencing & gate very poor quality. We read reviews about Parkstone Wales so asked Erik to come & give us a quote. We asked Erik what he thought we could do to make our garden area a usable area that was low maintenance but aesthetically pleasing too. We were thrilled with what Eric came up with so didn't even bother asking anyone else for a quote. He told us we would have to wait about 8 weeks for the work to start but we didn't mind as we knew we had chosen the right person. The first thing Erik did was replace all the fencing with a beautiful Scandinavian Redwood. Each piece was put in separately & by the time the fence was completed it made such a difference we were excited for the rest of the garden to be completed. Next stage was digging out the garden completely, levelling everything out then building a small wall. Stage 3 was laying an absolutely stunning rusty slate patio & building 2 steps at each end of the patio. The external wall was fitted with stunning coping which matched & toned in with the rusty slate patio. The next stage was laying some slate slabs for our teak bench - this was in our garage still in the box. We showed it to Erik so he would know how many slate slabs to lay. We went out food shopping & when we came back home not only were the slate slabs laid Erik had also put our teak bench together! ! The final stage was laying golden flint stones on our newly constructed pathway & making us a stunning tongue & groove arched garden door again in the Scandinavian Redwood. To say that the transformation is incredible is an understatement. We have a stunningly beautiful usable garden & we will never be able to thank Erik enough. Erik is not only professional he is the complete craftsman & a lovely person. His vision for our garden was mind blowing. He is second to none!! Price wise he is extremely comparable but his quality of workmanship & quality of products used exceptional! We are so pleased with what Erik has created for us that we have asked him to do our front garden asap. If anyone is thinking of asking Erik for a quote, don't hesitate we can't recommend him highly enough!!!!

Paving or landscaping - Look no further than Erik. We had numerous quotes, but as soon as we met Erik, we knew he was the person for the job. Erik planned and discussed in great detail how to transform our front garden (what colours to use, where to add flower beds, upfront cost that did not change, went above and beyond everyone else!) Erik was one of several people who tendered for the job, a new rear patio and block paved driveway, when we met I was very impressed with his professionalism and his quote was very competitive. Our project was a 16 meter garden wall. Erik was extremely patient whilst we considered and selected the bricks and style (we went for the Marshalls Autumn Bronze) and very helpful with advise on the project. Once a date was provided to start Erik, Nathan and Leon worked hard through very difficult weather to complete the wall on time. I contacted Erik after finding his business on Google. Erik promotly arranged a meeting at my house to discuss what work was to be done, an estimate was given there and then followed up by a detailed written quote which was marginally higher than his initial verbal estimate. We discussed payment terms and agreed on a deposit, followed 3 payments after certain aspects of the job were complete. Erik started a few weeks after I accepted his quote (as he had work lined up) He turned up with his team everyday until the job was complete and was always very punctual, hard-working & friendly. My project was 133 m2 of Indian Sanstone patio and 70 m2 of artificial grass. My experience with this company was different. I had an unscrupulous guy working on my project for 3 weeks. He made a mess of it. I sacked him and I knew it wasn’t easy to find someone to take over. Erik came along, assessed the project, never tried to take advantage and started working hard changing plans as he went along to accommodate various problems. Erik’s workmanship and attention to detail are second to none. He worked long hours, 6 days a week in difficult weather. He always made suggestions to change plans as the work required to excellent effect. He was always pleasant and easy to work with. No supervision required. The result was brilliant and I would recommend Erik for any patio or driveway installation, small or large.

We hired Erik to complete our driveway and walling project. After collecting a number of quotes we went with Erik because his price was reasonable and we felt we immediately trusted him. He followed our design very closely and also offered his own suggestions. Both Erik and Leon worked extremely hard and cleaned the site up after each working day. We’re very happy with the finished product and the marshalls guarantee gives us added reassurance. The only slight negative was that at the end of the job we were required to pay part of the cost towards the guarantee, even though it was quoted. However, overall the cost for the work was still very reasonable and I would have no hesitation recommending Erik to my friends and family.

Erik and Nathan were excellent from the beginning to the end of the project. The excavation and preparation for our driveway was brilliant in readiness for the Marshall's blocks (guaranteed for ten years). We were in no doubt that the deep foundations would keep the drive in a solid state for many years to come, and deep it was after Erik found 2 drainage pipes which were not running into the storm drains, just into the ground. This was put right straight away. The laying of he blocks was expertly completed without any issues, and the end result fantastic, we both love it. Our driveway was once a total disaster - a mixture of cracked concrete and concrete steps and path. Erik came up with an excellent idea using sleepers for the edge of our garden and lovely curved steps front and back. My wife and I are delighted with the completed work and have had many positive remarks from passers by and neighbours. Erik even hung some new gates which we bought together with the gate posts, which complement the drive even more. All this for a very reasonable price, which was detailed down to the last detail for all work to be carried out. Erik is by far and away the best contractor we have had at our house and would highly recommend him if you are looking to have your driveway done.

We have had a big job at our house with 85 square metres of patio front and back. This was a very thorough job digging 10 inches down , laying stones, cement and then Marshall’s slabs and pointing. Erik also laid a 50 square metre drive to the front of the house that included a feature kerb and step. He also built a border wall, wooden gate and a fence. I don’t normally bother with reviews but this business is exceptional. We needed some fencing replaced but four businesses either walked away and never got back to us or said it was too small a job. We left a telephone message for Erik explaining the position and he quickly replied. Fortunately he had just finished a major job. He came the next day and completed the job. High standard of work and good quality fencing. Reasonable costs. Would highly recommend.
