I'm very pleased with the surveyors report Northgate Heritage has submitted to me for the purchase of a historic 17th Century 6 bedroom farmhouse. Scott's knowledge of historic buildings, their construction and maintenance issues of these types of buildings is second to none. The surveyors report is very detailed at 72 pages long covering all aspects from the history of the buildings and its surroundings, the defects discovered throughout and the various options I have to right these matters. I was also very pleased with Northgate Heritage's pricing to conduct this survey. All in all, a very satified customer. Would highly recommend.

Scott at Northgate Heritage carried out a thorough survey for us on a 17th Century grade 2 listed cottage we are purchasing. We wanted to find a surveyor with in-depth knowledge of listed buildings and Scott demonstrated his expertise in the survey. The survey was sent over to us within just a few days of it being completed and it was an excellent price for the service. We are first time buyers so don’t have an awful lot of knowledge of what we need to look for, but Scott contacted us by telephone to talk everything through. We have had a pleasure of Scott Enders carrying out the survey on the Georgian grade II listed property we were purchasing. His knowledge of listed buildings was incredible and we met at the property at the end of the survey and had the chance to talk through his findings and gave us more time to look at the house in more detail and through the magnifying glasses. Scott had all the new surveying tools and tech (around 10 different ones, from a drone to a thermal imaging camera) which I found really cool and useful in capturing all the little defects which could sometimes lead to big issues down the line. Likewise his report was very detailed and really explained everything from scratch which is helpful for someone that is not very familiar with old building construction to understand, plus the delivery of the report was very prompt (within 3 working days of the survey) which was impressive given how much information was in it. Overall definitely recommend them and the price was reasonable as well in comparison to others.

Having completed very detailed investigations on site, Scott provided a sound, honest assessment on what was causing our issues and what was the most feasible way to eradicate the problems. We then received comprehensive reports detailing all of this information and recommendations within 3 days of the visiting site. Clearly passionate about historic buildings, we will definitely be using Northgate Heritage again.

Northgate Heritage provided us with an excellent structural survey of a Victorian period cottage. They were able to conduct the survey two weeks after we first got in touch with them, and we received the findings two days after the survey took place. The survey itself was very thorough. It covered when the original construction took place, and the history of subsequent renovations. It also analysed where further work would be needed, and prioritised areas of immediate concern, as well as areas that may require attention in the future. This included advice on the different options we would have for carrying out renovations, and a suggested best course of action In all, a comprehensive and professional survey with great service throughout.
