We were sold a free cavity wall insulation service, promoted apparently by Derby City Council for large 15-20 year homes to reduce emissions. At no time did the salesman or the surveyor warn us that the service actually requires dozens of 22mm wide holes drilled every few bricks the height and width of every external wall of your home. No one told us that the workmen obviously cannot guarantee to blend the make good mortar perfectly nor that many bricks won't be chipped or cracked during the process. Had I not asked them to leave before they started, they would have defaced my relatively new home. Please don't get me wrong, this is a legitimate company. The workmen are polite, friendly and professional. They are absolutely not cowboys, they are just doing a job that some people might want. In fairness to them, as soon as I complained about a lack of prior information, they immediately apologised. But my advice is they need to be more upfront with customers, particularly concerning young properties because otherwise, I would not use this service unless you know exactly beforehand what is going to be done to your home, even if it's free.

Had cavity wall insulation installed by this company recently and my husband and I were both very impressed with the work carried out. The fitters were very polite they arrived on time did an excellent job re-matching the colour of the mortar and clearing up afterwards. We were very pleased with the work and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone! Thank you Origin for a job very well done - a first class professional company!!

Had my walls insulated for free last week by Origin Energy Services who were very good from start to finish. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because they arrived 2 hours late but as I've already noticed my house is much warmer now since the walls were insulated and it was completely free of charge it was well worth the wait! Done great job. The surveyors completed survey in a very professional way and gave me all the info which helps me to take decision immediately about doing cavity wall insulation from Origin. The installers arrived on time and cleaned up all the dust without any disturbance. I would like to do my loft from Origin Energy as well for its good service and quality work.

Recently had cavity insulation installed free of charge. From start to finish the whole process was managed very well causing no disturbance. My house was built in 2002, Sixteen years ago, and was partially insulated. Origin Energy Services surveyed my house and recommended that Cavity Wall Insulation as the property had partial insulation. Origin Energy Services conducted the Cavity Wall Insulation work using the bead insulation system. The level of service was very good and a massive thank you to the team for a job well done! I must say it makes a change to have a team of well mannered, caring.
