Andy and the boys from Connoisseur spent 3 weeks at our home installing a driveway and porcelain paving to the side and rear of our property. The job wasn’t straightforward, as there are always unexpected challenges on such a big job, but Andy and the boys went the extra mile (or 10) in order to achieve everything we wanted. They were punctual, worked incredibly hard and left the site looking immaculate at the end of each day, which was a great hit with the neighbours! The finished job is fantastic and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone wanting a truly fabulous transformation to whatever they need changing at their property.

They worked in all weathers with good humour and a meticulous eye for detail, discussing options throughout the process to ensure we were happy with the final results and we most certainly are. WOW we certainly made the right decision using Connoisseur Paving. We had an idea of what we wanted and Andy was able to advise us and tweek the dimensions to get the best proportions to make the design work. We chose porcelain tiles for a modern clean look with the added bonus of been low maintainance. The quality of workmanship from start to finish was 1st class by Andy and his team. We were involved in decision making as the job progressed. They were on time every day, so friendly and professional and every day they left the site cleaned and tidy. Andy and his team are a lovely hard working bunch of lads. We chose Connoisseur paving based on family recommendation I always think is best to go on recommendation! We did have to wait a while for him to start simply because he is so busy and also due to Covid it’s been difficult for him to get the supplies he needs to do the job but we where happy to wait knowing the job would be done well. But in all honesty the finished result has absolutely amazed us and we are delighted. I think the photos speak for themselves and the fact I get strangers knocking on my front door asking who did our driveway and can I pass on his number!! Andy’s team where very punctual arriving on the job before I’d opened my curtains in a morning and working right through not even stopping for a lunch break! He did however entertain my young son through the window with a waving digger much to his delight! Nothing was ever too much trouble for Andy he always has a smile on his face and he certainly came across a few hurdles along the way with drainage issues and pipe work and a large hedge in the front garden that roots needed protecting and me deciding i wanted the wall cutting back to make the entrance bigger but he just got on with it. He talked us through every step of the way and discussed ideas, options and choices if things had to changed during the process. Every evening he made sure the driveway was as clean and as tidy as can be expected and safe to walk on. Andy’s motto is ‘it’s all in the preparation’ the digging out and levelling takes time but once that bits done to a high standard the rest just falls into place really quickly! We were surprised how quickly he managed to do our full front garden and driveway. Hand on heart if you choose Connoisseur paving you will not be disappointed! Keep them topped up with tea, coffee and water and custard creams! (Andy likes a custard cream but he pretends he doesn’t!) and watch the magic happen! Thanks Andy and team, great job done!

I contacted Charlie with a view to having my driveway updated. He came to view the job, talked me through exactly what needed to be done. There were loads of options but I wanted resin bond.......... even more options of colours to choose from. We also opted for Cobble stone edging. Charlie and his team worked without breaks, they were an excellent group of guys. The end result is amazing, I can't thank him nor recommend him enough. Especially as someone walked on it in two places almost immediately after it was finished. No problem, a call to Charlie and he was back in no time at all to resolve it.

We talked to few companies before deciding to progress with Connoisseur Paving. Andy and the team took our post-apocalyptic wasteland/large cat toilet and transformed it! • Design & Flexibility: Andy aided us with the design and with a high degree of subtly dissuaded us from creating two ‘grave’ like holes in the middle of the patio. We are still not sure who’s daft idea this was in the first place. When we changed our minds on the border, they where more then accommodating helping us with the brick selection. • Experience & Professional Approach: Throughout the whole process the level of experience they have is evident. There is ‘no corner cutting’ and they are a great bunch who are always profession even when you keep messing up the tea order. • Quality Finish: Andy is meticulous about the quality of the work to the point that if he is not happy with how something looks it is re-done. This ensures that when the job is completed the results are fantastic. We rarely have the time to review anything but in this case, we were happy to make an exception because we are so pleased. I highly recommend Connoisseur Paving, they will transform you garden.

Last year Andy and the team from Connoisseur installed new block paving hard standing to the front of my home. I was delighted with the results and therefore had no hesitation to contract them to revamp patios and paths in the back garden. The first major task was to lift the old York stone some of which was to be dumped and the larger regular slabs to be palletised for collection by another third party. Andy drilled the old concrete and pavers and Terry and Ralf did the backbreaking movement onto the tipper truck and pallets. The area to be cleared was about 85 square meters so a significant amount of debris had to be moved. They both worked like trojans. Then Andy started with a mechanical digger to get to a suitable depth for the foundations. Loads and loads of soil bits of stone and rubbish had to be moved. Again Terry and Ralf rose to the occasion using wheel barrows to load the truck. Each day all debris was cleared so the site was clean with no rubbish left. When this was completed the groundwork stone foundation came, truck after truck. Terry and Ralf again moving his with barrows and Andy spreading with the digger. Finally the stone levelled. Then Andy brought some of the porcelain pavers ready for laying, these again were manhandled off the truck into the garden for safe storage. Supplies brought as required. David and Neil were next on the job and what a great job they did laying the patios and a super hexagonal path round a summerhouse. All pavers laid on a bed of concrete. Their workmanship was excellent with a real eye for detail, never rushing to complete to job, just to complete it to my satisfaction. I cannot recommend Connoisseur enough. Clean workers, polite and extremely hard workers, nothing being too much trouble. Andy was always at hand and easy to discuss ideas with and was very helpful to provide solutions to certain issues. Connoisseur certainly offer quality workmanship and professionalism. Many thanks for a job well done transforming my garden.

Andy and his Team have transformed our garden from high maintenance garden to a garden that we will able to relax and enjoy now. Andy has a great depth of knowledge that will bring your ideas to life. He has a great eye for detail and supported us in design changes as the project developed. The rear garden has been split into 3 sections, vegetable garden which now has 3 bricked raised beds, centre circular brick bed for a bay tree, corner patio for table/chairs and graveled paths. Next section Andy has laid new turf, made a feature around an existing tree by with a circular brick edge filled with gravel and fitted posts for 2 hammocks. The last remaining section includes a large patio area for new summer house, newly laid lawn and paths that lead up to the house. Andy and his team are friendly, worked extremely hard in all weathers and always left the property clean and tidy everyday. So pleased with the work we have booked Connoisseur Paving to transform our drive and front garden next year:-)

Extremely pleased with our new driveway, Andy and his team work with precision and have transformed our old tired concrete driveway into a practical attractive asset. They also completed extra work by framing our front lawn with matching brick sets and creating borders for flowers. Really recommend these guys, they work extremely tidily considering what they are doing and leave the site clean each night. Materials arrived as and when needed so each stage was completed efficiently with no infringement on neighbours or our property. They are well worth waiting for.

After having several ridiculous quotes for my patio of which I wanted in the new vitrious paving, that nobody seemed to know what it was. I was recommended Connoisseur Paving Mr Andy Regan by several people. I was very impressed by the fact he knew what vitrious paving was because the others didn't and the special treatment and preperation needed. Because my garden sloops and a retaining wall was needed I wanted this cladding, in exilis veneer walling, he admitted he had not done this before but would like to have a go. We negotiated a very reasonable deal and a date. Well he and a mate Gary arrived this Wednesday and have made a fantastic job even installing my water feature. Andy you worked so hard and very accurate i can't thank you enough it looks great. I would also like to thank you and Gary for great banter and all the laughs. Cheers Billy

Just had my patio and back garden re-layed and couldn't be happier with the outcome. Completed a perfect job at a great price and would recommend to anyone. August 2020 - Delighted with the outcome of our drive and front garden. A great group of guys, attention to detail was very impressive, nothing was too much trouble. Superb work by the three lads, very professional, very courteous, they cleaned up after themselves each day. Created an 'L' shaped driveway to our exact requirements, and created an extension to the block paved area in the rear garden too. Can't fault the lads at all, if anything it was my coffee making quality that let the side down (I can't even drink my own it's so bad!) Would have no hesitation in recommending Andy and his team for great quality work, we are the fourth property they have carried out the same work at in a very short street, so that may give you some idea of how good their work actually is.

Where do i begin!! If like me you have had some bad experiences with work men carrying out work in your house, you will know how stressful and difficult it is to pick the right person to trust to do your work. Well i have had some bad experiences and choosing the right person is difficult. After numerous quotes Andy was one of the last people to come and quote me. Before this i had not really warmed to anybody. But as soon as i met Andy i knew he was the man for the job. He was friendly, extremely interested in my design and spent the time going through everything with me carefully. (Others did not seem bothered). I was so impressed with his visit and Andy himself and i knew instantly i wanted to use Connoisseur Paving. He was also very very fair on price. Well my initial impression was not wrong, in fact i just got more and more impressed with Andy and his team throughout. Andy and his two lads were absolutely fantastic. Polite, respectful of our home, clean, professional and the workmanship was absolutely brilliant. Andy is a perfectionist and it shows. He inspected every paving stone delivered before fitting and found airline cracks on the back which he could have fitted and i would have not known as they were not visible but he refused to fit them, then a second delivery was the same and he refused again. This caused him major disruption and he had to be very patient. He remained very calm and professional throughout. Even my two elderly neighbours commented on how fantastic Andy and his lads were. They even cleaned and swilled all the neighbours areas as well as mine. I was concerned because when Andy was digging out it was terrible rain and i thought it would be a mess, but Andy and his lads had washed and swilled everything before leaving and left it so tidy. I was so impressed. I am a very picky person and my design was very labour intensive and i even made numerous changes along the way. Andy remained so approachable and helpful throughout, i think anybody else would have had a melt down!, but Andy was so helpful and understanding. The finished job was absolutely fantastic and i am so happy with my new garden. The attention to detail and quality of work was just outstanding. What a fantastic bunch of lads they are. I can honestly say i have never ever had such a pleasurable experience with any other company at my home. What can i say more, fantastic company, fantastic lads, fantastic work. Do not hesitate to use Connoisseur Paving you will not find better anywhere trust me. I would like to thank Andy and his lads so much for such a fantastic job. I actually consider them all friends.
