Had an attic conversion from these guys and couldn't be happier with it. Andrew and his team are all exceptional at what they do, with great attention to detail to make sure the work completed is of the highest standard. It's transformed our 3 bedroom semi into a lovely 4 bedroom house, and it's changed our lives immeasurably. Not sure how we coped with just one bathroom for 6 years! We love our new bedroom and en suite, and it's been money very well spent. Feel like we've got an absolute bargain. Particularly with house prices in north Leeds being bonkers. Can't recommend AKB highly enough really. Everyone who came to the house was courteous, cleaned up after themselves, and were polite and professional. Even made mates with a couple of the guys cos we're Leeds United fans lol. AKB are starting a side extension very soon, and it's reassuring to know that we have the best people on the job.

Loft conversion completed in 2022. Really pleased with the quality of the work and all tradespeople were specialists in their trade. We thought it might be roasting in summer and freezing in winter but it’s been great. It has transformed the upstairs space in our house with 3 double rooms and a single now. We were unlucky with the weather (no roof in storms) and the guys were really responsive when we needed them to come out and sort the roof coverings. It took 14 weeks which is longer than we thought but we did ask for a few changes to what was on the plans. We had to do a bit of chasing as the teams are juggling loads of projects hence only 4 stars but if you want to know your project will be good quality I recommend AKB and have done to others. We hired AKB to do a roof conversion on our house. We wanted an additional 2 bedrooms and were happy to use the box-room area for the stairs. We also needed the ceilings lowering to make a bit more head space in the roof. AKB got all the work done to a great standard and we are very happy with the results. They were easy to with and took care of everything in the project. I'd highly recommend their services.

AKB have just finished our loft conversion and we are delighted with the results. From start to finish Andy and his team have been excellent. He has a big team of tradesman who appear to do different parts of the build and they were all very professional and respectful. They gave good advice throughout and although we hit a few small snags along the way they always had a good solution. Nothing was too much trouble for Andy, who genuinely seems to care about customer satisfaction. I would definitely use AKB again for more building work and would recommend them to anyone else thinking of having a loft conversion.

AKB completed a loft conversion for us at the end of 2020, and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Andrew and his team were professional and courteous at all times, and he took the time to explain the work, show us similar conversions, and provide us with options of what was possible. We went with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom but throughout the whole build we had chance to revise small details so we got exactly what we needed. On the occasions where we did have questions or concerns, Andrew and team were on it straight away. Andrew was also upfront about everything, helped us with other associated work / supplies, and there were no hidden surprises - this was really important as we were new to doing large scale work. AKB have just finished our loft conversion and gable end September 2018. We genuinely couldn’t be happier with the whole process. We were recommended by others who had used AKB and we visited a recently completed conversion as part of the quote process. From the initial quote, throughout all the works, everything has been completed extremely professionally and Andrew has always been on hand. Despite managing a number of conversions at the same time we always felt Andrew was reachable for any questions/site visits and our works were dealt with efficiently and to a very high standard by AKB. All the trades people Andrew used on the loft were at the top of their game. We always had a good explanation as to what would be happening next and when the different stages would be completed. Andrews attention to detail on all aspects of the job are exemplary, for example, on a visit he noticed (we didn’t!) that an eaves cupboard wasn’t lined up underneath our velux, he pointed it out to us and said he wasn’t happy with it and would change it so it lined up, which it now does perfectly. We are extremely happy with our completed loft and the whole process. Everything has been finished to a very high standard. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second in recommending Andrew and AKB for loft/extension work and would definitely use them again in the future. Very happy customers.

We were really pleased with the work AKB carried out on our house. Andy and his team clearly have a wealth of experience and I would happily recommend them to anyone considering carrying out a loft conversion. We appointed AKB to add a larger rear box dormer to the existing second floor of our house in Headingley. I’m an Architect and was looking for a builder who had experience in loft conversion work but who was also willing to work with me to achieve a less ubiquitous looking finished product. The design of the dormer required a number of non standard details and the use of various special order materials. Throughout all stages of the build Andy and his team patiently took time to understand what we were looking to achieve and even when they were being asked build details they were less familiar with their workmanship and finish was just what we were looking for. We’ve achieved just what we wanted, two new amazing light filled bedrooms for our twin daughters with amazing views over Leeds and a modern looking dormer with uncluttered, well executed external details. I don't know where to start the business, completely blown away by the building service they offered. I have used many builders in the past for different projects, but AKB can't not be compared to any of them. Fantastic service and amazing transformation!! Right from the start of our project Andy and the guys were helpful and very easy to get on with, willing to listen and answer any questions we had. Leaving people alone in your home can feel a bit worrisome but we felt completely at ease with these guys. Work completed on time and to the standard and finish we wanted. The scaffolder had accidentally placed one of the poles to close to our neighbours satellite dish resulting in no reception, Andy came out at about 20:45 in the rain and sorted the problem straight away. The job was always left clean and tidy and disturbance was kept to a minimum. I would have no problem recommending AKB to anyone and if your thinking of using them and want to view one of there completed jobs you are more than welcome to view our loft conversion.

Good value, excellent work and great after build support. Did have to chase initially for the quote. Andy is very busy and has many jobs on the go at once but once plans were drawn up and the work started it was all done in a few weeks and is fantastic. Turned a 2 bed bungalow into a 4/5 bedroom property including a second WC and shower (Andy suggested the WC as it made only a small change to the price). 2 years after it was done we had a small leak in bad storms; They sorted it out at no charge and with no fuss. Didn't have to chase, just one phone call. I would recommend them to anyone and would use them again If ever I could.

We love our renovation’s! AKB built our kitchen extension, helping us renovate our 1930’s semi. The extension involved installation of some pretty big steels, velux windows, bricking up unwanted doors and windows, retinal of 2 chimneys and installation of pocket doors. Great work, great quality. This is our 2nd time working with AKB, no complaints about the finished product.
