Just had a new driveway, passage and patio installed by these guys and am extremely pleased with the result. Pros: ● Fast, efficient service. Started early every day and worked well through 5pm. Craig deserves a special mention as he really grafted hard every day. He is a top lad indeed! ● Decent quality materials used throughout. Plenty of MOT used, full membrane, quality sand, blocks,slabs etc. ● Great value for money. Had other quotes for much higher prices and was worried that as this quote was cheaper, the work may not be so good, but I have been on site the whole time and am extremely pleased with the whole process and quality of workmanship. Cons ● The only minor point I have is that I would have liked to have spent more time agreeing and defining a clear scope of works etc before starting. Simon is a great guy, but he seemed rushed a lot at the start and it would have been good to spend more time discussing some of the details before starting. We managed to sort things out on the fly though, and it all worked out in the end.

I’m a fussy customer with massive attention to detail so was watching closely whilst the guys were working and discussing details throughout, they rebuilt our front wall and the bricklayer finished it really quickly and to a really high standard. They then laid a block edging on the driveway and finished the driveway with tarmac. The finish looks great and is exactly what I was after. They turned it around really quickly and worked long days to get the job done. The pictures speak for themselves I think. Thanks guys.

We recently had the the pleasure of meeting Simon, Craig & Chris when they did our driveway. What a fantastic job they have completed. These are genuine nice guys, the work was efficient, fast, & as you can see from the photo’s the final product looks amazing. They go above & beyond to exceed customer expectations. Simon and the Shire team have done a fantastic job on our driveway, its a pretty big area but they've got the job done in just over a week. It would have been finished in the week if it was not for the bank holiday meaning no Tarmac supplies. Lovely block edging round the main area, a step and a matching block paved section all compliment the main driveway finished with top grade Tarmac - a lovely job. Simon dealt with all our requests, offered ideas from his experience and provided reassurance throughout. Whether you're already clear in what you want or want Simon to provide ideas, he even allowed us to make changes as the job went on. He will give a fixed price, set out what is included and what extra options will cost too and nothing paid until the job was done. He's a great guy, couldn't have been more helpful. Thank you Shire.

From start to finish a professional and slick operation. Simon provided lots of advice, suggestions and technical knowledge and we were pleasantly surprised by the very competitive quotation and speed of communication throughout. Our driveway was shockingly horrible with part tarmac and part block paving, and loads of weeds growing through the block paving. Also had old large well established plants in the way and looking messy. Searched online for a local driveway specialist so we could go and bang on their door afterwards if we weren't happy, as we had no recommendation which how we usually find people. Well we won't need to be banging on their door. Unless we decide to get our patio done later! Our drive now looks awesomely fantastic and much much better than I could have imagined. Simon and his team listened carefully to what we wanted, gave good advice, turned up quickly and promptly and got the whole job done working for 3 days. This involved pulling up old tarmac, removing loads of old paving stones, and removing a considerable amount of foliage, lots of manual digging done by Charles and Simon on his digger. All rubbish was removed and the site left clean and tidy each day, even cleaning the pavement and road. I would recommend this company. We felt like we were taking a chance initially as we didn't know them at all, but they were fantastic, as is our driveway now. Very many thanks Simon, Charles and everyone else!
