Having researched a number of contractors The Edinburgh Driveway Company came out top even though their quote wasn’t the lowest. We liked and were reassured by Daren that a professional job would be done and so confident was he in his product and workmanship that he said that if there were ever any issues in the future they would be resolved quickly. He visited the house a number of times and responded promptly to emails, working with us to finalise the design and then choose quality products for our large driveway makeover. Such was the thorough and professional approach, James the installations manager, visited a number of times to check the plans and that everything was in place for the work to begin. The installation team, led by Gary, were exceptionally hardworking, professional and tidy, making sure that the working site was organised and clean. It was a bonus for us that it was the same team from start to finish. Nothing phased them, including the weather. Our drainage requirements were, some would say, demanding yet Gary listened to our concerns and ensured that our needs were met. All minor snagging was wrapped up on the final day without any drama by James. The drive looks amazing and is admired by neighbours and passers-by. Money well spent.

We had two jobs done back to back by Daren and his team in the early spring. We had a number of quotes and one of our main concerns was location of both properties. One was in a pedestrianised area and the other at our guest house on the main road out of the city on zig-zag lines. The second concern was drainage as the previous slabbing flooded badly. I was impressed at the level of preparation for both jobs the final jobs are both doing exactly what was promised. Both jobs have different slab - types and both were right for the jobs in question. Now we have had some really heavy rain I am pleased that drainage is no longer an issue and the new layouts both look great. For weeks after the jobs were finished it was not unusual to see passers- by hanging over the fence looking at the gardens. Daren promised he would do the job right and he did. It wasn't the cheapest quote but nor was it the dearest but it was refreshing to be advised about the job rather than just having someone doing what we thought was right. Absolutely delighted with the work done by The Edinburgh Driveway Company. Right from the outset, Daren was great through the quote process giving us lots of ideas and advising us on colour schemes etc and their pricing was very competitive. On the day of the job, the two Marks were on time, talked us through what to expect and were very professional and hard working, keeping us updated throughout the day. We were getting our old driveway removed, a new sub base installed and a gravel finish, with slabs and edging as an entry point to the house, we were so pleased with the finished product and really was beyond what we had imagined when planning the project. The guys ensured everything was cleared up and tidy once the job was complete. Top quality job from start to finish. Would highly recommend.

While they certainly were not the cheapest of the quotes we received for the landscaping work. The Edinburgh Driveway Company were quite literally the only company we had confidence in, from the outset their surveyor arrived on time, he even called ahead to confirm on the day. He was very knowledgeable and professional and followed up on time with a detailed quotation and proof of accreditation and warranty. This was a big project for us but so glad we paid the money to the Edinburgh Driveway Company. Hands down the best investment we have ever made, also the best experience we have ever had from tradespeple, they were so professional and courteous. I don’t often leave a revue but thought it necessary after us having used this company a few times. A few family members, friends and myself have used Daren and his company a few times now over the last 7 or 8 years and none of us have had a single issue. There has been some snagging but in my experience this was dealt with expeditiously and with a smile. The quality of the work is undeniable hence us recommending Daren to each other. My partner and I researched and considered over 10 different companies when we decided to have our driveway done. We've had problems in the past when having work done to our home so were really wary. The first thing that attracted us to The Edinburgh Driveway Company was the reviews - all 5 stars! We arranged a quote and Daren arrived on time (early actually, and he even made sure that this was okay before proceeding) and talked me through the process. He explained exactly what would happen and answered my questions honestly. We did have a cheaper quote but we were completely won over by Daren's approach and how professional the whole process was. In the end we got a beautiful completed driveway in 3 days despite there being some rain in that time. We even had our neighbour's comment on how quick and hard working the team were (all of the work was carried out while my partner and I were at work) which was good to know! I really couldn't recommend The Edinburgh Driveway Company highly enough and will certainly keep them in mind for any future work. The Edinburgh Driveway company was the only company we approached to get out driveway redone. We have a fairly large driveway which we wanted widening and repaving entirely. After meeting with Daren I felt confident about the company and didn't feel the ned to shop around. We went back and forth with Claire over email working out some of the details such as block types and overall design. We were also fortunate that they we're able to bring the job forward by a month or so as I think the weather in December would have made the job harder. James came out to finalise the details before the job started where we discussed the finer details. He wasn't there throughout the work but I could tell all of the information was relayed accurately to the team. Chris and Kenny were the two guys doing the work throughout the 1 week project. They worked incredibly hard, they just powered on throughout the entire job and I think they deserve a solid pat on the back. At times I think they could have done with an extra guy just to help with the cleanup, they didn't want tidying up to take away from the time they were working on the driveway. On a couple of days they worked later just to make sure the site was cleaned up. Claire was also great, she responded to every email promptly, before, during and after the job. She even phoned up mid job to make sure we were satisfied with how the work was progressing. I thought their communication was outstanding, a rarity these days, even with good companies. As for the finished product, we couldn't be happier, it's exactly as we imagined (better even). It solves so many annoyances we have lived with for years and it's quite notable the number of people passing by who have stopped to comment on how good the driveway looks.

They quality of work was excellent, communication throughout was very clear and they completed the work efficiently producing a fantastic looking driveways & path with new walling. We got the Edinburgh Driveway Company to replace our old front drive late last year. From our first contact with them their service was exemplary. Daren(the Boss!) visited us promptly,advised us on what our options were and provided an estimate(which was absolutely accurate). The work was done within the agreed period and to a very high standard. The workmen were first rate and very tidy. Daren himself visited on more than one occasion during the job and again on completion to ensure we were satisfied(which we were). We were contacted a few weeks after the job to check that all was well.We would highly recommend this company principally for the quality of their work but also for their excellent communication throughout the entire process. Finally when we experienced a problem (of our making ,not theirs) about 6 weeks after the completion of the job they attended promptly and fixed it at no charge. Having approached EDC for a quote Daren visited us and immediately it was clear he knew his trade well, not just practically also in terms of the quality of materials and design we were looking for . We had our front garden paved by this company. They have done a fantastic job and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone interested in having similar work done. Our first contact was with Daren who came out promptly to offer a quotation for the job. He talked me through all the different options, brought samples of materials and showed examples of previous projects. During the construction phase the work was carried out in a thoroughly professional manner - everything was left neat and tidy at the end of each day. Peter was a real pleasure to work with - he consulted me on everything and was very patient with me when I was working out the shape of the border, nothing was too much trouble for him. Both he and Willie (and George one day) were very polite and worked their socks off. They were here until 7pm a couple of days (Peter did ask beforehand if it would be ok to stay so late). On completion Peter talked us through everything before he left. All in all this has been a great experience.

I’d like to start by saying I have no affiliations from The Edinburgh Driveway Company (TEDC). My partner and I saved a substantial amount to have our fairly large driveway and back garden patio redone. Naturally, with anybody who saves up over time, you’re going to have concerns that the money goes into the right hands. We went to 3 separate companies for quotes on the work and TEDC turned out to be the cheapest. Price was of course a factor in our decision but what made us really decide to go with TEDC was transparency and honesty. Daren came round to the house on numerous occasions prior to the work being carried out. We would have lengthy discussions around our vision for the driveway and patio. Daren would provide input on what is achievable and but also any limitations – which is great to know up front. After we had our plan, Daren translated that over to the workmen and despite us slightly changing these plans half way through, everyone was more than accommodating. Not once throughout the whole project did I feel I had to micromanage or oversee the work being done. The level of care and attention the guys delivered was simply impressive. If you’re looking for a company that you can legitimately trust to do quality work, I strongly recommend these guys, we’re absolutely delighted!

Had a driveway refurbished and enhanced by the EDC. The project ran like clockwork with everything arriving to schedule, and just in time for the next part of the project to commence. Great teamwork and motivation on display. In a project such as this there is always a degree of "mess" (I had bushes and plants to be taken out as well as the old driveway) but the guys were well on top of this with regular clean ups, uplifts of debris and hose downs.
