Extremely good service. We had to manage an entire flat renovation from abroad and without Seda and Simon of Collective Construction it would not have been possible. They are propositive, timely, efficient, professional, able to coordinate other professionals and most of all extremely reliable. Thank you once again guys!

Seda, Simon and the team recently completed a full refurb of my flat.
We are really please with the results and can definitely recommend.
Fair prices and quality work.
I wouldn't have been writing this review if it was otherwise.

My review might sound a little over the top to some but it isn't. It's all true, and heartfelt:
Seda, Simon, Richard are all perfectionists. They are professional, approachable and take pride in getting the work done just right. Importantly they are also highly responsive to messages.
They are a great team and solution focused which also means pro-active and collaborative. I have seen them work the issues/problems out together and then walk through them with me. One solution they came to worked out at a lower cost to me.
All the contractors they used (and I had a fair few) were very high quality and just as cheerful! They did a great job through lockdown, I cannot recommend Collective Construction highly enough. Am not surprised they are so busy.
My last comment is they are a pleasure to have in the house. What more would you want?

When the original Victorian ceiling in our sitting room decided to give up its fight with gravity and fall to the floor, taking the original cornicing with it I was extremely upset; I loved the intricate design of it and felt that it would be hard to replace. In the inevitable search to find a contractor with the ability to accurately restore and reinstate the ceiling and cornicing, Collective Construction were recommended to me, by two neighbours, for their exemplary service and for an excellent job done. I called them, left a message and Seda got back to me that evening to organise a site visit to review the damage and to discus the works required. During the visit Seda offered knowledgable, clear and helpful advice. Obviously I selected Collective Construction to do the work and I now have a beautifully restored ceiling and cornice - you can’t tell that they’re not original.
Seda and his team could not have been more professional or more pleasant to work with - great communication, punctual and tidy too. I whole heartedly recommend them and will certainly work with them again in the future.

Extremely happy with the work Seda and the team carried out in my flat. Great communication Throughout. The level of work is outstanding and I’ve had many compliments on my kitchen and herringbone flooring. I would highly recommend! Looking forward to the team coming back to do my bathroom. 10/10.

There's an old saying: if you want something done, ask a busy person. There's a reason Collective Construction are busy: they're good. They fitted a kitchen for us, and it's amazing.
On collaboration
We had several crackpot schemes that were never going to work. Collective gave us sensible alternatives that were quicker and better, and so ultimately cheaper. In other words: if Collective say you shouldn't have your bannister carved out of mammoth tusks, believe them.
On scheduling
We were all ready to go with our kitchen, but suffered a family bereavement. Collective were able to push the start of our job back a week, even though it meant overlapping schedules elsewhere.
On problem solving
We live in a purpose-build 1970s block, full of right angles and level floors. Should be an easy job, right? Easier than trying to stuff a kitchen into the billiard room of your Edwardian conversion, anyway. Even so, there are always surprises: mad decisions by the architect, bonkers adaptations made by the last two or three occupants, wild schemes dreamed up by your freeholder. Not a problem for Collective. They've come up with creative solutions to all the problems we encountered in this job, working with us to ensure they fit with the vision.
On detail
I could show you dorky close-up photos of a tiled splashback that you'd just scroll by. So take it from me: my tiles are beautiful, right down to the colour of the grout. Oh, and I bought two extra boxes of tiles in case of breakage. They're unopened.

Collective Construction is a gem: family-run, local (Camden), committed to quality and satisfied clients, thorough, fair, responsive and reliable. Simon and Seda have now done two jobs for us, and I would have them back in a heartbeat. They know their trades well, and they are hands on, not just supervising but doing much of the work themselves.
As is inevitably the nature of Victorian house refurbishments, work in one area uncovers other issues that need to be sorted. This happened both times Collective was working here. While refinishing floors and redecorating top floor bedrooms, we had a roof leak which necessitated unanticipated repairs. Simon offered several options for repair and undertook the work himself. The second job involved awkward dampproofing of a basement vault and revealed that the shower in the adjacent bath was leaking into the crawl space below the lower ground floor. That led us to redo the shower room. Collective priced the job fairly and scheduled this unplanned work in a timely manner.
Seda and Simon have a reliable team of different trades who have worked with them for several years. Everyone that they brought onto the job was personable, responsive and tidy. Their professional and positive attitude reduces stress in what is inevitably a stressful process. Highly recommended.

A big thank you to Collective Construction who recently carried out a total refurb of our flat. From new ceilings, kitchen, bathroom, underfloor heating and everything else in between, you name it, they did it. Seda, Simon and the team did a fantastic job. Their attention to detail and pride in their work is just great to see.
They are two lovely guys, not pushy, and will help you with ideas and solutions if you need it.
On price we felt they were very reasonable. Try this company you will not be disappointed.

Simon and Seda and their team were recommended to me and I recommend them to you. They completely redesigned and refitted my kitchen from start to finish in just four days. This included providing a full on site survey before the job started and consulting with the kitchen company to get the right design for the space. They stripped out the old kitchen, picked up the new units and delivered them. They re-concreted the floor, sorted out the plumbing and electrics and fitted and tested all the appliances. What really impressed me about Collective Construction was their determination and ability to do an excellent job. They arrived on time every day, they worked cleanly and finished every aspect of the job. They are also great friendly guys who give great value for money. The kitchen is brilliant. I am 100% satisfied and will be using them again.

Seda and Simon have been amazing this entire process. The works stopped bc of C19, and they were in communication throughout, assuring us of their plans to resume, and with updated lead times. Every person we came into contact with during the process (their contact at Howdens, decorators, etc) was invested in the final product and present with us. Our flat has been completed changed after a wall was taken down, some serious plumbing I don't understand happened to move the kitchen to a different part of the flat entirely, new cabinets, new flooring, everything. They did something magical to the pump that means that the water pressure in the shower is now powerful af. The paint finish is beautiful, and the flat is now flooded with light!
Really appreciate Collective Construction for what they have done. Life-changing.

Simon, Seda and the team at Collective Construction did a great job on our kitchen and cloakroom renovation. Everyone who has seen our new kitchen has been impressed with the high quality of the work. They were hardworking, professional and punctual. I have since referred them to my friends, colleagues and neighbours and would highly recommend their service.

Over the past four years I have needed extensive work on my home. Collective Construction have installed two new bathrooms, removed and replaced a deteriorating flat roof and the coping stones. They have done a lot of repointing of the front wall of the house and have also rebuilt the front garden wall. Seda has been overseeing all the work ensuring the work has been completed to a very high standard. I have been very happy with what has been done and have no hesitation in strongly recommending Collective Construction.

Seda & Simon were helpful, polite, diligent and outcome driven. There attention to detail comes from integrity. Quite simply "if they wouldn't have it in there house its not good enough for yours" and will work hard and smart to solve any issue. Their support team of trusted trades from electrician to plasterers to general labourers carry through the values of the owners where nothing is to much trouble and they will do what it takes to get the job done. on top of all that, they clean up after themselves so you cant say fairer than that. I would and have recommended them to others as well as i will use there skills and services again in the future.

Over the last 18 months, Collective Construction has repaired my roof, fixed penetrating damp in several rooms, repainted the exterior, fixed a ceiling that was about to collapse, performed some plumbing repairs, repointed 3 storeys of brickwork and more besides. Their work is consistently of a high quality: a chartered surveyor who looked at the house after some repairs made positive comments. They make efforts to accommodate neighbours and are courteous. Highly recommended.

Seda, Simon and the rest of the gang from Collective Construction fitted my kitchen beautifully. Their attention to detail is second to none and their insistence on only producing work of the highest standard has resulted in a room I am utterly delighted with. I cannot be happier with their work, their attitude, their communication and their ability to problem solve and come up with creative solutions to the inevitable problems that arise from refurbing a room in an old house. I am so thrilled by their work I've asked them to redo my bathroom too. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Great guys; great work.

Booked Collective construction to lay a wooden floor and to replace kitchen work tops. From start to finish both Seda and Simon were completely professional and were a pleasure to have in the house. The job has been finished to a high standard at a reasonable price. They will definitely be my first choice for the remaining work to be done in the house.

We were very pleased that Seda and Simon were recommended to us: their work in installing a new kitchen and shower room was excellent. They were calm throughout the whole process and they worked quietly and professionally. Indeed we were so pleased that we have now engaged them to replace the main bathroom- what more praise can we give?
H. W.
Seda and Simon fitted our new kitchen, timber floor, new radiators and opened a hatch through a load-bearing wall. They were friendly and approachable, discussing various bespoke options for the work. They were well organised and efficient, and did the job to a high standard of workmanship, along with their team of plumbers and electricians. We would definitely recommend them.

During the last year Collective Construction have helped me to build and install a new kitchen and bathroom. For me it's important to use tradesmen that you can trust to firstly make sure the job is completed to a high standard, and secondly to finish the job on time. The guys at Collective Construction did both, and I have already referred them onto my friends, something I wouldn't do unless I was confident they would do a good job. As well as being trustworthy, they are also a nice bunch of guys, which seems to be a rare combination in this day and age. On top of this they were very reasonably priced.

Collective Construction was recommended to us by a neighbour in our block of flats and we subsequently engaged them to provide a complete refit of our kitchen.
Seda visited us at the flat to discuss the design specification and options. Once agreed, he engaged local suppliers to assist and an end-date was agreed. We moved out of the flat during the work. Seda then project managed the whole process, including the collection of all materials from the various different suppliers. We also asked Seda's team to complete some additional electrical work in the flat, and this was agreed and undertaken without extending the timeline.
Seda sent us photos daily to show progress. The job was completed to the timeline agreed, and we are very pleased with the quality of the work done. Overall a job done well with no cost or time overruns. We would definitely recommend Collective Construction and use them again for future work

I first met Seda and Simon five years ago when they came over to price up for a complete rehaul and refurb of my flat, to me a complex job but to them a small undertaking .
They were contracted to refit the kitchen, lay new flooring from hallway to kitchen diner, replaster and paint throughout, electrics, plumbing, chasing / concealing multiple copper pipes running the entire length of the property, woodwork / carpentry (including skirting and architrave), installation of a false ceiling, spotlights.
As they began, the job ACTUALLY turned out to be far bigger. It included damproofing as they had identified rising damp, installation of a new boiler, replumbing, extra work on my roof and in the flat above as they discovered a leak from the flat above (again unknown) , multiple leaks under the bath that had gone undetected and a completely new bathroom refit.
What struck me, during the revealing depth of necessary work - they did not overcharge me and acted fairly and calmly throughout - taking the extra work in their stride.
What particularly stood out which I'd like to highlight, is that they actively encouraged me to speak to damp specialists for external advise for reassurance. I was reassured in week 1 their contingent plan HAD IN FACT included everything the damp specialists had recommended - from special injections to special render at a specific ratio internally and externally.
Similarly, on the job, they encouraged me to seek external advice for the bathroom and low and behold the quote was extremely fair, given the circumstances.
Both of these examples demonstrate accurately their level of integrity, of professionalism, of fairness, communication and honesty .. As they could have easily taken advantage of the situation.
Prior to conducting the work, I had met up to 15 builders. First of all their knowledge, expertise, passion and honesty shone through in comparison - i didn't get with other tradesman. As an example, I could ask them any question in that first meeting, if they didn't know the answer, "we won't know until we start working on that, but we could quickly find out " as opposed to telling me what they thought i wanted to hear which was my experience of builders up until meeting them.
Their communication during the job and before is second to none. I also had the distinct first impression, since i would be living within the flat during the works taking place, that I'd be good hands and that my home would be looked after and respected, and my instincts were correct. Carrying out work of that magnitude is a huge undertaking, however not only did they take it in their stride, they worked through delays, snags, and issues that arose like potential leaks, very serious rising damp which was revealed in the first week and ALWAYS cleared up after themselves, sometimes even on the job.
I'd describe the team as reliable - they stick to their word, always on time and take v little breaks. One of the reasons i think Collective Construction is such a reputable company is that they have all known each other since they were very small - they are tightly bonded and that transpires in the work.
This review is belated as the work was conducted 1 and a half years ago and I can say with conviction it looks as it did when first completed - the walls are smooth - no cracks have appeared; the damp has not returned AT ALL; the kitchen and bathroom are absolutely immaculate; the spacing between tiling exact; each of the skirting boards, doors and architraves had to be measured, shaved individually to fit wavy non-conform Victorian walls and I can say the finished product is so sublime I am still enamoured 1.5 years later. I have two bedrooms that need a refurb and I will certainly make sure that it is these guys that get the job done.
If you are in North / North West London you need to choose these guys.

I am a young first time homeowner who had very little help or advice available from my immediate circle. Collective Construction were literally the ANSWER TO MY PRAYERS. I am a stickler for detail, and a huge perfectionist. Not only were they excellent, fair, honest, and incredibly skilled builders, but they are absolutely lovely people - who helped me every step of the way. What could have been a nightmarish experience (as it was a big renovation project - that I had never done before) became an incredibly quick (as I had a tight timeframe to stick to), fun, and supportive project. They created my DREAM flat, and I have had countless comments from people saying how beautiful and well-done every thing is. Choose Collective Construction. You absolutely won't regret it!

Collective Construction are the most trustworthy plumbers out there!!! I had a leak in the pipes under my bath and I had 4 different plumbers come into my home. All those plumbers diagnosed the same problem and said I needed a totally new bathroom. Along comes Seda and his team from Collective Construction...not only did they fix the problem, I did not need a new bathroom in the end. They saved me thousands of pounds compared to any of the other quotes, they were exactly on time, super neat, trustworthy and over all charming guys! I will not hesitate to use them in the future.
Highly reccomended, A+++ :)

The boys did a large and very needed refurbishment to my pub the Junction Tavern. I cannot speak highly enough regarding their level of work, finishing, friendly nature and general quality off their work.
Simon and seda worked non-stop to ensure the end result was beyond expected and I will never forget the effort and work they put in and I will absolutely use them again.

We had some work done by Collective Construction and are so, so happy with our choice ! The guys fit us in quickly and the work was done smoothly and to a great quality. Everyone was tidy, courteous and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Originally we wanted a bathroom conversation but our project turned out to be much larger than anticipated, with the whole flat having the floor laid throughout and replastered, specialist tiling, plus some electrics and built-in cupboards. They took the growing scope in their stride, and were conscientious throughout, feeding back and helping with decisions throughout. The original budget was kept to, and additional budgets were very reasonable. The quality of work is excellent. We plan to use them again for decking in the garden.

Simon and Seda are instantly likeable but don’t let their charm fool you, they are also excellent builders. We hired them to remove a wall / bathroom and build a kitchen in its place, as well as other ‘smaller’ jobs around the flat. Along the way they found problems areas that we didn’t know existed. A less scrupulous team could have let them go and carried on with the job they were hired to do, but no, they wanted everything fixed and correct before moving on. We are very happy with their work and are already recommending them to our friends. We will be using them again for any future work. Highly recommended.

I absolutely cannot recommend these guys highly enough. Seda and Simon are extremely knowledgeable and conscientious with an experienced, friendly team working for them. They are excellent communicators, trust-worthy and considerate - not to mention very good at working around young children! The work carried out to date on our Victorian terraced house includes internal and external redecoration, floor-sanding and finishing, remedial damp work and plumbing. Best of all (and unusually in my experience at least) they are willing to use their brains to get to the root of niggly, long-standing problems and resolve them. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Simon, Seda and the team refurbished out kitchen, basement, bathroom and bedrooms - pretty much everything. They were terrific from start to finish: professional with a streak of perfectionism and very easy to be around. Couldn't recommend them more highly. Roland and Alex, Tufnell Park

Seda, Simon and their team did a fantastic job on fitting in a second toilet in our office that seemed impossible at first; but they made it possible. Thank you!
