We used Creative Space design for our loft conversion and are extremely happy with the results. They have been a pleasure to deal with, which during Covid is very impressive indeed and a credit to the team that work for them. The initial consultation meeting with Luke was refreshingly open and collaborative and our project manager Stello was available throughout the whole build and was very quick at responding to queries. When there were any issues, they were dealt with very promptly and took away a lot of the stress that we have experienced in the past with building works. The standard of finish was to a very high standard and I would gladly recommend them to my family and friends in the future.

My husband and I used Creative Space to complete a rear dormer loft conversion and a refurb of the first floor. We did a lot of research into which company to use and Luke definitely stood out from the crowd - he was honest about what could be achieved and the pricing was clear from the start and seems competitive from our experience. We had a build team led by Alin who was really excellent and we were consulted every step of the way. The standard of the work that has been completed is very high and I would absolutely recommend Creative Space to anyone who is thinking about extending their existing home.

We absolutely love our loft extension built by creative spaces. Really recommend these guys! From the start, I was very impressed with Luke’s organised excel spread sheet to give us an immediate basic quote on the day he first visited (other companies took 2 weeks to send a quote). The price was reasonable and Luke really listened to my queries and had so many useful suggestions for the project. He was also available to contact throughout the build. We had the drawings done quickly and the build team carried out the job over the following 10 weeks. The builders were polite, tidy and most importantly had great attention to detail which I appreciate with an eye for these things. The decorating and tiling was particularly neat!

We chanced upon Creative Spaces while visiting a fair in Crystal Palace. We’re delighted we did, as their design and build of our extension in Nunhead was excellent. We were keen to get moving as our old extension was a poorly conceived mess. Luke came to the first site visit and gave us confidence as well as some very useful and impartial advice, before we had even given him the job. And the quote he later offered was the best price considering the service they were offering. Luke was always a very good communicator and quick to rectify any concerns. The design phase was efficient too, and the options were clearly explained and well thought out. They planned it so well, such that, despite much of the build happening during winter, we benefitted from minimal disruption and discomfort. They built temporary walls to keep dust out of the rest of the house, and each stage was perfectly ordered so we never felt the house was “a complete building site”. This leads me onto the build team – Luke had put together an excellent team. Never have I worked with such respectful, decent and hard-working people. They were quick to rectify any issues, and their standards were top notch. They did a great job of building us a temporary kitchen and were also very considerate and polite to our neighbours. All in all, I can strongly recommend them.

When embarking on our loft conversion we were really keen to find a building company that would not only produce a top quality finish but be open, communicative and consult us when decisions needed making. From the outset Luke and his team spoke our language. He knew the type of loft we were looking for, listened to and worked with our consultant architect and there was no fuss when variations were made to drawings. When the build started we were delighted to see that a WhatsApp group was made between us, the build team and project manager. Stello and his team were considerate, quick and efficient and really produced an outstanding finish - despite a bit of disruption towards the end due to a the arrival of a new addition to our family. The team at Creative Space did an amazing job on our loft conversion - would use them again any time. The project was managed efficiently throughout, Luke and Philip were personally involved at every stage and spent a lot of time ensuring that we understood the schedule, things like building inspections, the budget/ payment schedule and who would be in our house on a daily basis. They even dealt with slightly difficult neighbours who had questions over party wall agreements with grace and good humor! The work was carried out to a very high standard and they had no problem dealing with any (minor) snagging list items quickly. Taking on big building projects can be daunting and stressful but Creative Spaces were a fantastic choice and made the whole thing easy. The loft conversion completed for us was finished in under 7 weeks with no issues at all.

Creative Space D&B Ltd carried a side extension and a full refurbishment of our property. The quality of the work was to a very good standard and the construction process was made very easy throughout. The works were carried out in full to the agreed budget and completed in the agree timescalles (3.5 months from start to finish). Creative Spaces were very accommodating in resolving any issues that arose; any issues were resolved quickly with no fuss, which was really appreciated. The whole team are approachable and communication throughout was easy, whether it be via email or phone. It has been a full year since the works were complete and we have had only 2 minor issues and Creative Spaces have resolved these issues very quickly with no quibble. Overall I would definitely recommend the company for any side extension and we would definitely use them for any further works such as a loft conversion as I have full confidence in the whole team.

Excellent service from start to finish. Luke took the time to understand our requirements and then produced a design for our side return extension that was exactly what we wanted. Planning went remarkably smoothly with plans being approved first time, which given that we live in a conservation area is amazing. Then Manu and his team did the knocking down and building up. Again we couldn’t have asked for a better team - they were hardworking and very considerate, particularly as we had to remain living in the house for the duration of the building works. They were also very particular about getting things right and looking good. We are delighted with the finished build - no complaints at all.

would highly recommend Creative Space as a building and design team I would highly recommend Creative Space as a build and design team. We came to them with an extensive project for our semi-D Victorian house. It involved stripping out three floors, taking off the roof and taking the inside back to the original 1880’s brickwork shell. They also completely renovated the outside of the house which was covered with cheap tiles What I liked about Creative Space 1 They listened. It was really important to us that we created something unique and original, we had some innovative ideas and they took the time to take them on board and give us the house of our dream. 2 We came in on budget Quite an amazing feat in today’s world with builders. What really helped was a line by line costing so we knew what we were getting for our money. The price of any extras was discussed beforehand so there were no unpleasant surprises. The payment plan was also very clear and took out the stress of knowing when we were to pay and what for. 3 Quality build I’m pretty fussy about having good craftsmanship. I found the team at Creative Space had a high level of accuracy as well as high level of competency across all trades. They were keen to use quality products. 4 Snags Firstly very few and secondly very quick response time with no grumbles. 4 Cleanliness and Respect At the end of every day they left the site tidy and swept up. Even our neighbours were impressed. The team were always respectful, had clean language were good humoured. Important when you are going to spend 9 months of one’s life at close quarters to them, trust them with your home and give them a whole lot of money. 5. Relations with neighbours Creative Space were amazing at keeping the neighbour content whilst such an extensive project was going on. 6. Good relations Considering the extent of the project and the amount of money spent it was a relatively stress-free and enjoyable project. I always felt supported by the team throughout the project. The sign of a good builder is whether you have them back and after such an extensive project they are here currently landscaping the back garden.

Let's get the two most important bits of this review out of the way: first, were we happy with the work that Creative Spaces did; and, second, would we work with them again? Yes, very. And yes, definitely. Although we had never done this kind of work before, right from the time that our architect introduced us we felt comfortable with Luke and the Creative Spaces team: he was up-front about the challenges of our timeframe (immovable deadline) and what he could deliver. As importantly, he gave us a really useful itemised estimate that enabled us to start thinking right away about where we might be able to prune a few costs back in order to bring the project in to our ideal budget. They stuck to their quote. Ultimately, and this was important for us, we felt like we were always treated fairly and that Luke and his project managers were always very easy to deal with. The crew that showed up to do our project were, frankly, fantastic. They were completely trustworthy and worked so hard that almost felt like I needed to justify to them what I was doing with my days in front of the computer (I regularly work from home). And they clearly took pride in their work, which sealed the deal for me: they were keen to show us the work that they were doing *as* they were doing it... especially the tricky stuff (our bathroom tiles and our roof, which turned out not to be straight because of something the Victorians had done 120 years ago but which they managed to make look 'just right'). Finally, as we got to know the guys on the team they began to really get what we were aiming for and were willing to rise to the challenge of making it work -- nothing in a project on a house that was knocked up in 1897 is going to go completely according to plan, so the fact that we felt like we could trust them to do the right thing by us made the entire process just that little bit less stressful.

We used Creative Space to manage and build our loft conversion and I have to say they did an excellent job. The build quality is top notch, and they even came back almost a year later to tidy up the inevitable settling cracks. The team made suggestions throughout the project to improve the end result, rather than simply following the plans without question. Our one negative was that the project management could have been better. This did lead to a few miscommunications within the team and we had to chase hard throughout. However, if you can stay on top of that side of things I would have no hesitation in recommending Luke, Stello and the team, we couldn't be happier with the end result. Unfortunately 4.5 stars not possible.

We engaged Luke and Creative Space to undertake a loft conversion and addition of a roof terrace. It was not a straightforward build and there were some niggles but Luke and his team approached every issue with a positive and proactive approach. The majority of the project was completed on time allowing us to move back in when we wanted to, and it came in on budget. The quality of finish, internally and externally, is really excellent and they were clean and tidy throughout. 1 year on and Luke and his team have done an admirable job of returning to attend to any minor snagging issues. We had a beautiful loft conversion by Creative Spaces, and we are really happy with the end result. Keith (the architectural designer) was brilliant and came up with a design we'd have never thought of, giving us lots of light and space with an open plan staircase, minimizing the impact on the first floor bedrooms which the stairs had to go through due to a slightly unusual layout in our house and giving us a walk-in wardrobe / baby nursery which we hadn't imagined there would be space for, in addition to a roomy ensuite bathroom. They stuck to the agreed time schedule which was very important to us. Luke, Beatriz and Keith were a pleasure to work with and dealt with any problems or snags efficiently and effectively. Our only negative point was that the communication from the build team foreman wasn't great, but the work was completed to a high standard and we are very happy with the end result. We would recommend Creative Spaces.

Luke and his team extended and reconfigured our garden flat in Islington to an extremely high standard. From the initial assessment through to finalising the high specification decor, we found them to be a wonderfully professional and dedicated group. The project was not without its complications (joint project with neighbours, unexpected gas pipes, conservation zone), but at no point did we feel anything but confident in their ability to find a solution and work with us to ensure the project finished to budget and time. They were accessible, approachable and affordable and we are delighted with the final work. We have no hesitation in recommending them to family and friends.

Creative Spaces did our ground floor flat extension in East Dulwich. We now have a beautiful light living area with a rooflight and skylights opening out to the garden through bi-fold doors. And a brand new kitchen with underfloor heating. The rest of the property was redecorated and new flooring installed in the process. Doing any kind of building project can be daunting but Luke and his team made the project run smoothly, on time and on budget. We always knew where we were with the build project and what the next steps would be. The team Luke used were all great - finishing jobs to a high standard and totally trustworthy. We will be using Creative Spaces again.

The Creative Spaces team did large-scale renovations in our flat, including a loft conversion with dormer, installing two new bathrooms and kitchen, and putting up / taking down stud walls. We were very happy with the outcome, and would recommend them highly. The work was done to a high standard, carpentry, plumbing, electrics and the finish, with friendly and helpful workers. There were some problems during the build with plans (not drawn up by them) not being possible, but after consultations, we agreed on a solution and it worked out well. Most importantly of all, they rigorously stuck to the pre-arranged budget, even when they encountered the unexpected problems. Having heard horror stories of other companies going well over budget, this is a huge positive. I would highly recommend.

This is the second time my wife and I have used Creative Design, the first for a flat extension and this time to build a loft bedroom and an extension for our terraced house. I can’t recommend them highly enough, and have gladly recommended them widely to friends and family. They worked with us at every stage of the build, from helping with design choices and detailed technical drawings to final decorating and snag fixes, ably coping with all of the unexpected problems that inevitably happen along the way (inaccurate drain maps from Thames Water, earlier botched works incompatible with modern building standards….) Overall they are highly capable and trustworthy, with strong attention to detail and focus on finish quality. They delivered on time and to budget, and were able to grow the team when we asked for additional features without affecting the timelines and at very economical rates. We weren’t living on site throughout the works, but our neighbours were always very happy with the team and frequently commented about how polite and hard-working they were. They have also insisted we get in touch with them if there are any post-build niggles, but there have been remarkably few. Many thanks to Luke and his team for all of their work, we shall definitely be calling them again next time we have a building project.

When we saw a loft conversion by CS we knew they were the guys for us. Building is always messy and a little painful but honestly I would not hesitate to recommend Creative Space to get you through the process. The whole team were brilliant through design, construction and aftercare! we undertook the project when I was pregnant and were still in construction when the baby was born, the team were considerate and wonderfully helpful.
