We found Michael after doing a google search, and we are so grateful that he came up first. He is punctual, friendly, professional and goes above and beyond. We initially wanted to have out RING system fitted. After completion, we noticed that our gutters needed doing, and Michael was willing to help and made himself available. He always goes out of his way to ensure a job is done to the highest standard as well as he is very informative. We have a long list of things which need to be done around our house, and the only person we will trust to do it is Michael.

Michael was really responsive on not very much notice, and did well to fit the job (repairing floorboards) in under a tight deadline. I also really appreciated his up-beat, energetic manner and the fact that he was very transparent ahead of the booking, explaining simply and clearly what needed to be done. Solid dude!

Michael has done some work for me in the past. It has always been of the highest standard at a fair price, so there was only one option when I recently moved house and needed some work done urgently. Despite being very busy, Michael was so helpful to fit in the work we needed. As ever, it was a first class job and we were delighted.. Micheal is amazing! He is very kind, funny and really wants to do the best for you - I can’t stress this enough. He is competitively priced, and did an amazing job. He did - knocking down a built in wardrobe - which then needed plug socket moved and ceiling skirting refitted - painting, decorating and wall papering - fixing small fiddly jobs (locks, hole drilling etc.) He came over to quote and advise, which was reassuring and helpful. I left him in my flat with keys and felt very happy to do so. He has also cleaned up impeccably after the work. Michael fitted a new door for us and did a brilliant job. It wasn't a simple task, yet Michael went out of his way to source and deliver a suitable door, cut it to the required dimensions and ensure it looked as perfect as possible. Michael came to our house to do a small repair job on some old floorboards. He was prompt in replying to messages when arranging a time to come and quote. We're really happy with the job he did. We employed Michal based on glowing recommendations on the Walthamstow Recommends Facebook group, and he more than met expectations, going above and beyond with his attention to detail, due diligence and quality of work, even putting in extra hours to finish the job to a high standard he and we would be happy with. From repair jobs in our bathroom, to putting up light fittings, to installing a water butt, to putting up utility room shelves, his work was second to none. The biggest job we had for him was redecorating our downstairs reception rooms and rehanging a door. The painting involved using quite temperamental paint, which required a lot of patience and precision. Suffice to say, we are overjoyed with the results and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who needs jobs, big or small, doing around the house. Michal is honest, very hard working, thorough, and good-natured. We consulted him on a number of other jobs which he gave straightforward assessments of, offering solutions that we could implement ourselves. Thank you, Michal

Michael did some excellent work for us. He fitted a bracket for a punchbag on the side of a metal outside staircase. It was an unusual request but Michael did the job beautifully and the result is very sturdy. He was very friendly and seemed to really enjoy his work. The price was reasonable and I couldn't be happier with the result.

We got Michael round for several odd jobs that needed doing. He was very professional and through and always wanted to make sure we were happy with everything. I would definitely use his services again.

Michael was brilliant! I needed to get a small door fitted in one of the walls in my loft conversion as there were some unwelcome visitors living in a closed off space. Michael took my very rough idea and turned it into something that worked really well. It was a pretty tricky job as wall struts needed moving, as did plug sockets, before building a frame and the door itself. Michael managed all this brilliantly, bringing wood from his home - as well as a buying the stuff he didn't have - and constructed a great door with all fixings/trim etc... It was a bespoke size but everything fits brilliantly. He even put a plug socket inside the loft space so I can put a lamp in there - and fixed a poorly fitted loo too! Overall I can't recommend him enough, he cycles everywhere on his bike too (along with all his tools) - so I guess the 'green handyman' is true!

I highly recommend the Green Handyman. Michael spent 5 days doing lots of different jobs in our house - including: - making a fence from scrap construction wood - putting up some extra shelves in a cupboard (again from scrap wood) - sanding and painting our cupboard under the stairs - hanging up pictures and heavy mirrors, - putting handles on doors - fixing loose tiles - fixing broken locks and door latches - installing a door threshold - installing a cat flap He arrives when he says he will and takes pride in his work. He double checks his work and if he finds an issue he fixes it. He cleans up after himself. He also takes time to think the job through to make sure he chooses the best method. And he rides a bike with all his tools on panniers - including his vacuum cleaner! Michael is reasonably priced and definitely worth ringing to do big and small jobs.

Michal helped fix a problem with a broken hinge on a upvc window. Despite it being something he wouldn’t normally deal with, he took on the job and fixed it so quickly. He even went out of his way to come to the hardware shop with me to make sure I had the right product. Prices super reasonable and he’s friendly and trustworthy.

We had an issue with damp from our side return. We thought the issue would be resolved by cutting render and decking away from the house. Michael found the source of the bridging and also rerouted a downpipe which was pouring water underneath the decking. Overall good quality job.
