S. B.I used Mercury Building Solutions to undertake a Dormer extension on my 'two-up two down' property in 2018. It was always going to be a complicated build given the age of the property and the need to drop the ceilings. Throughout I found Mercury really easy to work with, they kept me informed as the build progressed and provided really helpful building suggestions when they could see ways of improving on the architectural drawings. The ultimate finish of the work was great, and it's been problem free since completion.
A. D.Mantas and the Mercury Building Solutions team have been excellent. We initially engaged them to build our loft extension but were so impressed with their speed, quality and attentive approach we decided to ask them to extend our downstairs as well.
There were two elements to the project that really made me appreciate their quality. Firstly, whenever we encountered a problem with the build they were always available to discuss options and offer an opinion. Secondly, when the project completed and after we paid the final balance, Mantas kept in constant contact to ensure we were happy and even sent in a painter to touch up the property after we had moved back in.
These are builders who you can always get hold of, work at pace and are competitively priced.

They have their own planning team which draws plans to submit to the council which was done fast. They also had building control sorted.
We sat down and talked about ideas about how our loft should look, Mantas was very interested in our ideas and we felt positive about the project.
Once the work had commenced, there was builders, plumbers, electricians, carpenters each set out with their own individual work. I liked this appoach because it was professional and everyone on the team was experienced. They came in and did what they had to do.
I found that I could reach Mantas (project manager) with ease. And he was always happy to talk to me.
The whole build took around 10 weeks, I have all the certifications from building control and the council.
And the most important one of all, I have one happy wife.

L. Y.I used Mercury Building Solutions (through Simply Lofts) to build my loft conversion which was completed earlier this year.
I am a bit of a perfectionist and they did a superb job. Their finish was excellent and for the work they did, the cost very reasonable. My loft layout wasn't straight forward which they had no issue in executing.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them and use them again myself. Mantas who was my contact throughout the build was a pleasure to deal with.
J. H.I would definitely recommend Mercury Building Solutions. We had our loft done through Simply Lofts. They subcontracted in our case to MBS - in the future I would probably go direct through Mercury as you might get a better price.
Our project manager was Mantas - he was friendly, always contactable and knowledgable about all the different options we could go with.
He would also listen to the individual things you had to say and act on them promptly.
The work done by Mercury was all to a very good standard. A lot of our friends have had extensions done and we definitely seem to have had the least problems - most likely due to a quality building company.
The builders were polite, all spoke fluent English and tidied up every day.
In the whole building project I only once managed to successfully offer them a coffee - perhaps this was because my coffee tastes terrible, more likely it was because they all had an impressive work ethic!
The build, plumbing/electric, decorating and finish were all impressive. We’re really excited about the extra rooms we now have - thanks!

I have used Mercury’s for a loft conversion in Tooting and they exceeded my expectations. Mantas, the owner and project manager, is responsive and always trying to help and provides great advice. The loft has enlarged the space of my flat and created a lot of light. Mantas really cares and uses his expertise to give good counsel to his clients. For example, he advised me to add a corner bench in the kitchen to maximise the seating space. He also advised me to add a roof light to flood the place with light. I am so pleased with the result. We were wary about what builder to choose after having a poor experience with a different builder in the past, but after meeting with Mantas and seeing a couple of their jobs we had all the reassurance we needed to be sure they would do a great job for us.
From start to finish I can happily say we were not disappointed. All the builders they employed were incredibly supportive, knew what they were talking about and always kept us updated so there were never any unpleasant surprises in the job. My partner and I could simply leave the guys to it. In particular I found the electrician to be very knowledgable and have a keen eye for detail. This along with the rest of the team made the whole build a easy and in some ways an enjoyable experience.
I would recommend Mercury building solutions for any building work you may require.

S. H.Mantis of Mercury Building Solutions did a fantastic job of converting my loft into a practical and beautiful guestroom with ensuite. The team was always punctual, very tidy and polite, making a loft conversion as easy as it was ever going to be. They worked quickly and finished faster than I expected. There were a few snags which they were happy to come back and sort out without any quibbles. I would recommend Mantis as he did a good job for a very competitive price.

Mantas and Salius aka Mercury Building Solutions built our loft, they were subcontracted to perform the works by Simply Lofts (We have done a similar review which can be found on the Simply website).
Mantas was the project manager, he performed the role very well: relaxed, good communication; he also had a very flexible approach that enabled the works to proceed smoothly and efficiently in our house while it was occupied by the 4 of us and my 86yo mother. Mantas's approach also enabled us to have our own design ideas successfully incorporated into the project at reasonable cost.
The organisation and management of the works by Mercury Building Solutions was impressive. The workers were all very experienced, highly skilled and each specialised in the different trades involved: structural, carpentry, plumbing, roofing, electrical, plastering and tiling. As one task was completed the follow-on tradesman would arrive seamlessly; there were very few pauses during the 11 week project. Additionally we noticed that all materials used in the course of the building work was of high quality, complying with building industry quality standards. The latest building techniques were also employed during the works.
The result was a high quality of work and a high degree of customer satisfaction.
Having your loft done is a major exercise for any homeowner; it is something that you will only do once. We are therefore very grateful to Mantas, Salius and their workers. We moved into the new spaces some months ago and remain highly satisfied and continue to think that we spent our money very well.
On the basis of our experience of Mercury Building Solution we would recommend them to you without hesitation.
E. T.I chose “Mercury building Solutions” to carry out my loft extension including a roof terrace. The decision was instant after speaking to a previous client and viewing a recent job.
The owner Mantas is very personable and his colleague Soulius very knowledgeable. The team of workers deployed were very informative and respectful on my property throughout the build especially the guys that built the building structure and the electrician/plumber. I was able to make minor alternations or introduce new requirements with little fuss throughout the build.
All work was carried out to a very good standard. The work completed a few days late but this was due to the manufacturer of the electrical velux window and the bifold doors. Once or twice I did observe and raise issues, however Mantas was very quick to resolve these issues. Personally the differentiating factor between Mantas and other builders (i have had the misfortune of working with) is that I felt Mantas listened to my complaints/concerns/instructions and took immediate and corrective action, sometimes at his own cost. This gave me a lot of comfort as I could not be on site all the time.
I would definitely recommend “Mercury building Solutions” to anyone undertaking renovation work or an extension.
N. H.Mantas and his team of builders converted our loft ( Hip-gable) dropping of all ceilings on 1st floor, while we all lived in house downstairs. Cleaned up after each working day ,each trades man have there own job too do , kept informed every step of progress,very reliable hard working builders they have a good structure in place for client too make payments and keep track of progress, they cover everything for planning,design,structural , you even get free decoration if you sign within 30 days , you also get 10 years workmanship guarantee, the end result is truly outstanding I would have no hesitation recommending mercury building solutions too undertake your project, we now have 4th bedroom , ensuit, and walk-in wordrobe thanks again Mantas , sailus and whole building team family are so happy! Kids Now have there own bedrooms.
N.The loft conversion was done in the allotted time, with two lovely builders who were a pleasure to have in the house. They were tidy and friendly. They explained what they were doing, and how long the different aspects would take, as they were working on it. Paying for each section as it began was also handy. As a first timer to having any alterations done to a home, it was great to be able to have the planning permission and plans done through the company, all in one go. Much less to have to worry about. The only thing we would have liked was to have been asked about the additional stairs, for the bannisters to match the lower stairs. As a complete newbie to this, it had not occurred to us that this would be an issue, and it was not possible to do anything about this at the end. The carpenter, electricians who came in did a great job. I'd absolutely recommend

for great value for money, friendliness and getting the job done on time. However, don't be afraid to ask questions at the beginning about things like bannisters or lighting.
