We highly recommend RS Aston. Richard and Joe completely renovated our kitchen and converted part of our garage into a utility room and cloakroom. The whole process through quotation, design, construction to completion was smooth and Richard guided us at every step. They are friendly and approachable and kept us informed and updated on the progress. Richard uses quality suppliers and materials, he also guided us on our purchasing of appliances etc. We found them to be reliable, trustworthy and efficient. As well as clean and tidy at all times. Their workmanship is of a high standard and they certainly have an eye for detail. We are delighted with the end result.

Our kitchen refurbishment by R S Aston Builders was a project very well managed from start to finish with Richard organising the electrician, plumber, gas man, flooring specialists etc. The workmanship and eye to detail is excellent and pride taken in every aspect of their work. All materials are of a very high quality and their advice given was extremely beneficial. Richard and Joe are very hard working, punctual, polite and friendly, considerate and tidy workers. We have been very happy with the 4 weeks that the R.S. Aston team spent on our kitchen renovation. Richard helped advise, plan and design a user-friendly kitchen and prioritise choices to work around budget constraints. Richard organises all the relevant electricians, gas engineers etc. as part of the project. Joe and Richard installed a brilliant quality kitchen with a very high standard of workmanship. They cleaned up every day and treated our home with respect. A dog friendly team, so our spaniel enjoyed the process too. We’ve been enjoying using our kitchen now for three weeks, extremely happy customers. Will be getting the team back for any future work planned.

They have moved our kitchen completely from one part of the house to another, then changing the old kitchen into a downstairs toilet/shower room and a utility room. This was done by them with great ease. They have completed the work to the highest standard, and with minimum disruption to us. Their advice on what to do, what to have and where to put things has been invaluable for someone like myself who is not good at making decisions! They were here every day without fail, and as other clients have no doubt said, their working area is kept extremely clean and tidy. I have waited, literally, years to have a properly fitted kitchen and, it’s no exaggeration to say that Richard Aston and Joe have made this, virtually, a life-changing experience. Richard’s knowledge of the workings of a modern kitchen is key to how brilliantly the product is designed and fitted. They listen to what you want and how you will use the space and everything is implemented with your needs in mind. For instance, heating, lighting, and ventilation, are all remarkable accurate and discrete. The appliances are fitted to perfection and when it comes to colour and design, this is where Richard and Joe really excel. Richard’s years of experience means he knows what will work with the look of the house and the impression you aim to create in this most crucial living space. Richard and Joe fitted our bathroom at the end of last year and we love it. It’s perfect and comfortable and a massive improvement on anything that went before it. So, there was no question about who was going to fit the kitchen. Richard and Joe are absolute perfectionists and they work with electricians and plumbers, who have similar standards. Richard and his team have recently fitted our beautiful new kitchen. This is the third major work they have carried out for us. Task 1 was replacement of the ceiling in our kitchen/diner and building a cloakroom in that area. Task 2 was refurbishment of our dilapidated bathroom. Task 3 was to redesign our very awkwardly shaped kitchen, including replacement of the windows and door. A number of difficulties were encountered, due to previous poor workmanship. All were solved in a very professional way, with consultation when required. We now have a very smart, functional kitchen, which is a joy to work in. With all 3 projects, we received detailed estimates, which were very close to the final price. All work was to a very high standard, as was the advice offered before and during the process. Richard was an excellent project manager and everyone involved was polite and sensitive to our situation. This reduced our stress levels considerably. I would recommend Richard wholeheartedly.

When we employed Richard Aston and his crew to do the bathroom, I had very specific ideas about how I wanted it to look – the bath, itself, was 70 years old and the house was built in the 1950s. The end result has been perfect. It fits with the look of the house but has a modern edge. Richard and his colleagues did an amazing job: clean and efficient. But, above all, I cannot find a flaw in their work. Everything in the bathroom works perfectly, fits perfectly and long years in the trade mean that Richard can advise you on any aspect of your bathroom refurbishment. Richard and Joe just completed a 7 week job with us. We are extremely pleased with the result. They removed an old kitchen, blocked an old backdoor, raised the height of a chimney breast and installed a brand new kitchen with quartz worktops, with new radiators, range cooker, renovated larder, and bi-fold doors. New pendant and spot lights, painted walls, new floors and a new sash window finished the look. The guys also completely renovated the utility room. Richard and Joe were very professional from initial quote to last visit, and always left the place tidy at the end of the day. Even the skip was well-organised. This sort of job is a big investment for most people and we really trusted Richard and his working practices - we believe we got very good value for money, and I have already started a wish list of other jobs for Richard and Joe. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these two and their team.

We are absolutely delighted with our new kitchen, designed and fitted by R S Aston. Although we had very specific requirements there was never any sighing and tooth sucking. They just got on with it and put together the kitchen we have always wanted. We were particularly impressed with the way they co-ordinated the work, bringing in an electrician and someone to make and fit the door at exactly the right time so there was no delay in getting the work done. Their advice on colour schemes, kitchen appliances, lighting and everything else down to tiles and cupboard handles was invaluable. The builders themselves were polite and friendly and very understanding of the fact that there were dogs in the house who might bark at them. I think the dogs missed them when they left. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants a first class professional job carried out by experts at a very competitive price.

The service, care and attention we received from RS Aston from their first visit for an estimate through to completing the kitchen was exceptional. We required a wall removing an RSJ putting in and the whole kitchen and family room gutting decorating. Not only was the craftmanship and attention to exceptional (comments from visiting friends and neighbours) but the advice we were given whilst making such difficult large decisions was perfect, helping us to avoid what would have been bad decisions on reflection. Despite finding some surprises (from the original builders poor work) the whole project was delivered within 5% of the original estimate and on time. This was a large and scary project for us and RS Aston managed the whole process keeping us well informed and able to make detail decisions (and changes of mind) as we went through. I would not hesitate to use RS Aston again, the final result was much better than we could possibly of hoped for,

Cloakroom and wall removal - So good we have asked for follow-on work! We needed a wall knocked through between the kitchen and dining room, and part of the disused kitchen converted into a cloakroom and cupboard area. Richard and his team completed to time and budget and the work looks exceptional, we are very pleased with the result. With parents staying with us most of this time they were very conscious that they kept noise and dust down to a controlled level, and always tidied after themselves.
