Vision Development has recently successfully carried out a project to build my contemporary new home. The works were completed on time and on budget which is essential for any developer. It can be a very worrying time committing to a big expenditure as a timber-frame, but I quickly realised I had chosen well with Vision. Vision have been supportive for the duration of the construction, and I have felt reassured with their help and advice. Vision went above and beyond helping and advising me in areas I was unsure of and even helped me once their part of the build was completed. The team were professional and always approachable, working to a very high standard to deliver a quality product. We are delighted with the results and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.

From the outset of our Self-Build project to change our 1950's bungalow into our forever how Vision Development were excellent. Nothing was a major problem to overcome, including working under the tin hat to protect parts of our original house we wanted to keep. Dawid and Damian were excellent on site and Luke was always only a text away and able to respond to inevitable multiple questions we had along the way. Its now several weeks since the team left us and having now worked with many other trades I can safely say Vision have been a true pleasure and professional company to work with.

Vision have enabled us to build a beautiful home from our humble bungalow. From the outset they were friendly, professional and efficient. They took our architects drawings and produced a comprehensive quote which was very reasonably priced. Once we started the project they developed an effective design that we were able to collaboratively work with the team to refine. Even when our lack of understanding meant ambiguity in the deliverables, they helped us understand the process and always to time to talk us through things when needed. The installation team were really friendly and a pleasure to have on site, in stark contrast to some of the contractors we’ve used. They delivered us an amazing solution to time and budget, despite all the challenges that COVID through at them and the industry. They offer the friendliness and care of a small company whilst providing a level of service that you just can’t get from much larger suppliers. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

We are 95% complete with our new build house project, Vision we’re contracted to provide a bespoke timber frame to meet the Passive House standards we had applied to the design. They were engaging and innovative in their approach, very willing to help with ideas for technical challenges in the design and also suggesting other companies to tackle the works outside their contract. Our design required a high degree of precision to achieve the architectural ambitions and our low energy targets. They did a really good job at a competitive price, and the experience was frankly a pleasure. Special mention has to be given to the site team led by Luke, who really cared about both the quality being delivered and was very diligent keeping us informed. There were a few hiccups along the way, as there always are with any project, but you learn more about a lot about a companies values through their approach to adversity. Vision operated with absolute professionalism and fairness throughout the project.

When looking for a timber frame company to manufacture and erect a timber frame for my extension, Vision stuck out from the rest. I got 4 or 5 quotes, Vision wasn’t the cheapest, they also weren’t the most expensive, but they were the only company that really gave me the confidence I was looking for. They clearly had expertise and were going to support me through the process, not just supply a cheaply made frame and outsource the erection to an unknown contractor, this was the feeling I got from one of the others. I was invited to visit the factory where I saw how the panels were made, saw the work they were doing and had in-depth conversations with Tim. Vision is a family run business and these values really come through, also very important. Site visits were thoroughly carried out and I’m extremely happy with the end product. I would highly recommend Vision to anyone.

Following many hours researching building techniques for our new build we decided on a timber frame structure, which hit the sweet spot in terms of cost, ease, speed of construction, long term energy efficiency and friendly to the environment. The building is insulated and air tight to a high standard and with the addition of solar panels and battery storage we expect very low electricity bills. Tim and the Vision team have been very helpful with contacts, advice and tips. As a first time builder this proved invaluable and saved a lot of time, potential additional cost and head scratching! Based on many years experience in developing, building, coupled a keen interest in new methods and ideas they also liaised with our other suppliers where required, so an important part of the team We had two teams onsite; the first erected the prefabricated insulated panels and constructed the roof timbers and the second added the roof insulation, additional internal insulation, airtight layer and battens ready for plaster boarding. Both teams were very friendly and, contrary to all the stories you hear about builders, kept us informed at each stage, arrived on time and completed the work on time. They also highlighted some design issues and worked with us to resolve them. They were genuinely interested in the success of the project.

I was so pleased to have found Vision Developments. From the outset speaking with Tim I knew I wanted to use them. His can do attitude, experience and contacts was great. He and his team Jane, Lucy and Rafal were always very helpful and willing to put themselves out even after the build. The build itself was dealt with very professionally by Roy and Christian. The plot was very tight but again the can do attitude that seems to run through the company got it done. Really pleased with the house. I will definitely use Vision on the next project

Really happy with our new cabin. Communication with Tim and his staff was great from the off, which reassured us we were making the right choice. Once the structure arrived on site it flew up and the standard of finish is great. Other builders and the building inspector from the council have commented favourably on the quality of the materials used and the quality of the construction itself. We made a couple of changes 'on-the-fly' which were accomodated by the contractors on site (although I'm sure they won't thank me for suggesting that they enjoy awkward customers). We are really happy with the building itself, but the best bit is that when people ask how much it cost and we tell them, they are stunned by how affordable it is.

Having moved into my new bungalow in 2020 it was decided that a new extension would be a great addition and timber frame was the way forward. Having contacted Vision Development we soon felt confident we were approaching the right Company. The budget was agreed and contracts signed ready for the forthcoming build. The timber frame was of the highest quality and arrived on site on the agreed date. The structure was assembled quickly and easily ready for the exterior render boarding to be installed. Metrix Development Ltd build quality homes and have demanding standards when selecting materials to be incorporated into a construction. As with any developer we depend on quality of product, budget and timescales all of which were met by Vision Development. The site was difficult to access and situated next to a railway line therefore not permitting a crane to be brought onto site as would be normal. Not a problem to Vision, the panels were hand-balled into position and the job was completed. Thanks Vision.

Hillside Farm “Off with the Old & On with the New” Our project wasn’t a simple one, but there again it would seem that most things we do never are. Unlike most people who are sensible and build a house from the beginning so everything is designed together, our project was to turn an existing poorly insulated 1960’s chalet bungalow into a large more efficient aesthetically pleasing house. Many timber frame manufacturers wouldn’t entertain such a scheme due to the technical difficulties of matching the new timber structure to the existing masonry walls. Vision Developments however were happy to take on the challenge. They worked with us and our drawings to design the structure that would enable them to match the new timber frame to the old imperfect walls. Just to make things more difficult for them we then broke the news that we also remaining resident in the house during the work. Un-phased by our stupidity Vision put together an efficient sequence of work to seamlessly remove the existing bungalow roof, erect the first floor wall panels, partitions and crane in the huge 9 metre wide roof trusses to complete the outer shell as quickly as possible. It was very much a case of “Off with the old and on with the New” which enabled the building to be stripped and water proof again all within one month. During this time there were a few hic-ups and challenges where we would make a few “last minute” adjustments. The workmen on site however were very friendly and organised, and worked efficiently to deal with these issues to get our structure up as fast possible. Without the confident, helpful and professional approach of Vision Development the work to our house would have been far more difficult and stressful and we would not have been able to remain in the dwelling while the work progressed. We highly recommend them.

Vision supplied and erected a timber frame for a 4 bedroom detatched house. Their service was excellent with a well designed timber frame of good quality and excellent value. The few problems that arose were very promptly dealt with and I always felt that they had the best intentions of the client at heart. Firstly, you are dealing with a family owned and run business that has been around for decades. Why does family run matter? Well if you are thinking of working with or buying from Vision it means they care. Each member of the family team have important roles that they each take great pride in, because what they do matters. As a unit they are trustworthy, responsive and a real pleasure to deal with. It is a great shame that such good businesses are so rare to find in this day and age and for that reason alone, I would have no hesitation in recommending their services. Our Experience: Vision built us a bespoke eco house in South Oxfordshire. Pre-sale, they completely understood our requirements and quickly agreed the design of our new home. The attention to detail for design and procurement of materials was outstanding. The very best materials were sourced internationally to complete the build of our A+ energy rated home. The speed and completion of the work was exactly to time; in fact Vision showed us such faith and trust as the sale of our family home fell through and they professionally and patiently handled all of the delays that this caused us. The finished product is of the highest standard – It really has a wow factor and we just can’t wait to go home every day to our new home. Not only is the home beautiful, the functionality and energy efficiency is amazing. It uses the very latest MHVR technology to ventilate and heat the property. Just a single hour of underfloor heating in the morning will keep the entire property heated to about 22 degrees for the entire day. We are producing more electricity than we use so our energy bills are nominal. Vision’s aftercare has been amazing –anything that we have asked has been promptly answered and any teething problems have been handled excellently. No problem is ever too big or small for them to handle, you are never made to feel anything other than welcome when you call. We would have no doubts in recommending them – if this wasn’t our forever home, we’d buy another one!

The product that Vision offered was of high quality and fantastic value compared with their competitors. After selecting Vision they worked well with my Architect and Structual engineer and all issues were resolved speedily. Vision has fulfilled my dream to add an extension to my agricultural home. The process was simple and Tim understood exactly how I envisaged the home to look. The larch clad extension has floor to ceiling turn and tilt windows and also has large patio doors making the rooms light and airy. The whole timber frame arrived on a lorry and was up within a few weeks. In the end the whole project took 6 months to complete. Really happy, especially the interior space and insulation, very little heating required and cool in the summer. The raised patio deck with its glass balustrade gives my home the ';wow' factor. Timber frame panels and rafters for large double storey extension to 3 sides of our 1960's house in Oxfordshire completed without our family moving out!
