N. M.With two garage doors having inoperative or ineffective opening mechanisms, I turned to The Garage Door Specialist for help. Jim came out quickly to take a look. The doors themselves were still in good condition, but the up and over mechanisms all needed to be replaced. A week later, following the parts delivery, the job was complete, and what a massive improvement, the doors open and close like new. A really professional job carried out by a nice guy. I certainly recommend this company, worthy of the 5 star rating.

A. H.I spent over a week painting my garage door and added multicolour fine horizontal narrow stripes. As I was removing the masking tape the cable to the counterbalance snapped. I am a reasonably confident DIYer but considered a repair beyond my own skills, partly due to the extreme tensions involved. I phoned a couple of companies and others wouldn't quote me a fixed price but a wide range instead. When I called Jim at The Garage Door Specialist I could tell he knew what he was talking about. He quoted me a price of £85.00. This was at about 4.00pm yesterday and he was here at 9.00am this morning. It took him less than half an hour which might make £85.00 seem a bit steep. But it was his 30 years experience that enabled him to do it so swiftly and efficiently - and that cost was considerably less than other quotes I received. He was very friendly and helpful and serviced all the moving parts and replaced a roller as well and gave advice as to how I can maintain it. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

JIm agreed to call around later that morning.- had the door cables fixed and door repaired before midday!
