Took part in the fantastic photography screen printing weekend. Day one focussed on screen printing by creating our own stencils and using multiple colours. Day two and we began working with photographs and photosensitive emulsion to screen print them. Definitely a new output for my photography and I will return to use the fantastic facilities.

I’ve never done screen printing before so was a little worried it would be too difficult for me to enjoy. However, Dave was a pleasure and made the whole process a nice balance of fun and educational. It was great to see what other people came out with. I miss drawing and making things so this was a great combination of both.

So much fun!! I’ve done a photographic screenprinting workshop and then came back for another one to learn about textile printing and I really enjoyed both of them! The workshops were very relaxed and informal but I still got to learn a lot about screenprinting and different techniques and felt like I could always ask questions. As a complete beginner, I really appreciated the friendly and relaxed environment and thanks to many demonstrations I never felt behind. If you’re interested in screenprinting give it a go!:)

I really enjoyed my 3 hour drypoint etching workshop. Tutor David was very friendly and welcoming, as well as giving clear and simple instructions on the techniques needed for this type of printmaking. There was lots of flexibility in the process and everyone in the group came up with unique creative ideas. There were lots of materials and tools available which was great as the workshop was short and it was good to be able to get on without having to wait. Fun and relaxing, I will be recommending my creative friends to go along :)

I have been to two fantastic workshops ran by the Mobile Print Studio and I will definitely attend more in the future. Dave and Fi are both very welcoming, friendly and patient. They work well together, ensuring I was both ambitious and pragmatic about what I could achieve during the workshops. I was deeply impressed by how they guided me and physically helped me when I needed it! I am now the proud owner of my own screen printed t-shirt and a my own wood stamp! I highly recommend these guys!

I did an Etching Workshop with David in Glasgows GOMA. It was a brilliant day, a really mellow and relaxed environment and he made everyone feel very comfortable. Everyone in the class had different backgrounds and skills and I think we all left feeling like we'd had a holiday, and of course having learnt a new technique. I'll definitely go to other classes and would recommend to anyone with any interest. Perfect mental massage, lots of deep breathing happy humans. Try it!

I've used MoPS a few times now and would 100% recommend them. I needed a few little tasks done and everywhere else seemed to have a massive minimum cost but Mobile Print Studio's cost totally reflected what I was actually receiving and with a very fast turnaround. I feel like David and Fionnuala understand exactly what small artists need and were happy to talk me through the various materials and how my file needed to be set up. They were also happy to work with me to make something a bit more experimental. Thank you MoPS, I'll be coming back!
