Found this great little shop, needed nitro fuel, glow plug and starter for my buggy, they had the all, and even picked up a piece of track for my rail way set up, defiantly going back, and the guy was really helpful, even said if you can't fix it, bring it in and we will have a look for you. My buggy runs perfect now

I purchased a car from Formby Models a few years ago for my son's, I recently decided to John a RC car club and build myself a competition 1/10 car, I went back to Formby models and was instantly greated with a smile from the owner, all the staff give it the family run business feel, the advice I have recieved has been invaluable as you would expect from such friendly knowledgeable staff, they have also stopped my needlessly spending money meaning I was sold exactly what I needed and nothing more, if your in need of help advice anything this place is worth traveling too, I've uploaded some images of my car all the electrics where fitted and soldered by Formby models. 1st class service from start to finish. I ordered a model motor bike RG 250 Suzuki with the paint we needed. Paid over the phone. From coming from England to the West of Ireland it took 6 days. I'll definitely be ordering more. Philip was a pleasure to deal with. 10/10 again fantastic service...

Very good variety of a hobby shop which covers all aspects of rc and model trains. The shop stocks nitro fuel and some nitro cars which is nice too see. If they don’t have something you want, you can ask them to order it online for you threw them. 5 star advice

My experience with Formby model shop as a Brand New Customer was quite the opposite of what Ged Garvey has described. I popped in the shop with an unusual problem to do with Servos in my Iron man Helmet. I called up the shop a couple of days before to ask their advice as I did not have a clue with this sort of thing. I spoke to the owner Phil and he was very helpful, polite and professional. I explained my problem about the broken servo’s in the Helmet and explained I needed it fixing by 10am Saturday morning as we had a children’s party booked with Iron man. Phil & his wife did everything possible to help me. They went above and beyond in my opionion to fix it so I would not let anyone down. I went to the shop Saturday Morning, I saw other customers in the shop who all seemed happy with the service. I paid for the services and even paid extra because I was so happy with the service. I was disappointed to read Ged’s review as it was my Helmet Phil was fixing. There are always two sides to a review and I can 1 million percent say the service, customer service, professionalism is second to none and would highly recommend Formby Models to anyone. 5 Stars ⭐️

Partner went here to obtain advice on a Meccano motor that he had recently purchased. They couldn't do enough, they were very knowledgeable and very attentive. They supplied him with everything that he needed to get the motor up and running. Only downside is, you do wait a long time whilst they are seeing to you, however, this is good as it shows they offer a personalised service.
