Did a brilliant 3 day lino print course here. Really nice, peaceful vibe; very clean and tidy; with lots of space for everyone. Jamie Temple was our tutor - he was extremely knowledgeable, encouraging, generous and even bought examples of his own works in to help explain processes to us, which we really appreciated. I'd definitely recommend this studio/school; it's the best studio I've been to in London (and thankfully doesn't come with the blatant sales bashing of PCL). Thank you ELP - it was brilliant!!

A really welcoming space. I did the Intro to Screenprinting on Fabric course a couple of years ago, and have kept coming for open access sessions since. The staff are all super friendly and experienced printers who are happy to advise when things go wrong, or you want to try out something new. Studio on the canal is gorgeous and well equipped.
I've also picked up some lovely (and cheap) prints at their annual Christmas show!

Started doing an introduction course to Screenprint a while ago and I keep printing since then. The course was solid and everything you need to start printing on your own straight away.
East London Printmakers is located by the canal and the light and space is just fantastic, all the equipment is kept clean and well maintained, so it's a great place to do your own artwork. Everyone there is friendly and helpful in case you need any advice while printing.
Also, with their membership you get discounts on their courses and Open Access, but also access to exhibitions, stalls, and discounts at many art shops and suppliers.
I highly recommend ELP to anyone that want to learn printmaking techniques or just to book open access sessions if you already know how to print :)

I’ve been using ELP for about 3 years and it is hands down the best studio I have printed at. It has a wide range of facilities and presses for many different print techniques. I was struggling to find a studio in London with an Albion press for woodblock printing, which led me to find ELP and try them out. I haven’t looked back since!
The drop in sessions are extremely affordable, staff and technicians are friendly and helpful, and there is a community buzz about the place.
They also offer great opportunities where you can take part in different exhibitions, which is helpful if you are looking to establish yourself more as a working artist.
The studio itself is large, spacious and very bright and airy. The surrounding park and river make it a particularly tranquil place to print. Highly recommended!

I've been coming in to ELP initially for the amazing classes and then open access for the last 5 years. The studio is very well equipped and fantastically spacious. Very welcoming and knowledgeable printmakers / technicians are around. You can try various different printmaking method including etching, drypoint, linocut, screenprint… The studio is very well-lit (large windows) and situated in a quite canal side - it is very calming printing in the studio.

I’ve been using ELP for over a year now and it’s definitely the best printmaking studio I’ve used - they do excellent courses and knowledgeable technicians are on hand during Open Access sessions. I feel so lucky to have found such a great bunch of printmakers to exchange ideas with too! Thoroughly recommend this place.

Been printing at ELP for nearly 2 years now. It's my favourite print studio in London. It's super clean, super tidy, machinese well maintained and everyone is super helpful. And it's next to a river! I love going there just for the atmosphere. I've also done a few courses there and have enjoyed them all. You won't regret doing them. On top of that ELP is super inclusive that they are always keen to create and share opportunities to artists in order to get your work seen! I definitely think they helped me a lot with that. :)

I have taken a course there and regularly screenprint at their Open Access. Staff are very friendly, down to earth and super helpful if you need them. All the printmaking facilities I would need is there for me to use, including a shop if I need extra supplies such as paint or paper. It also has a great little community of printmakers to support you. Mile End station is about 5 -10 minute walk away and street parking is free in the evening and at weekends. Thoroughly recommend if you need a place to print.

A wonderful studio with lovely people. A paradise for printmakers, where you can find almost anything you need to print, from screenprinting to etching to lino and special techniques which are often taught and explained during their numerous and very well put together workshops. ELP runs classes for those who don't have experience and want to start printing right away. And they also organise extremely interesting artist talks. The place is kept super clean and it is situated in a lovely area, just by the canal and across from Mile End Park. And the biscuit tin is always full! Highly recommended.

I attended a 3 day etching last year which was marvellous and have since been visiting the studio for Open Access sessions. The studio is extremely congenial to work in, spacious, clean and very well organised with views of the Regent’s Canal and moorhens out of the windows. There is plenty of help available from very knowledgeable staff and materials can be bought at cost price. Since the studio opened again after the Covid-19 lockdown I have felt completely confident about the social distancing and hygiene arrangements now in place.
