I went to buy shower gel , the assistant Andra there extremely helpful , showed me the offers I asked for , introduced me some products I didn’t know about , let me know about 10% discount card and Vip information , really great customer services I had, I bought two products , so pleased thanks

Just popped in for a bar of soap, but don't call it that they get surprisingly offended, 'Shea butter bar' apparently, soap to us normal people. Anyway, the shop was very quite due to the rugby. The staff were very polite and helpful, can't knock them for that. However, all the up selling was beyond a joke. I spent nearly 15 mins at the till, trying to pay for a simple bar of soap but the sales assistant kept trying to persuade me to buy more. On no less than four separate occasions after saying 'no thank you' to the previous attempt to sell me something I did not want. And finnaly they started with the what's your postcode? ', 'what's your name?' malarkey. I don't want or care about your email offers, maybe ask your customers if they are interested before just assuming they are, or should be. All in all a mediocre experience - but I will buy from John Lewis next time, far quicker and easier.
