I booked a Tilbury Lesson for my daughter for a Christmas gift. I arranged it through Oliver who was incredibly helpful and communication was effortless. I apologise that I don't know the name of the make up artist, Anya said she was delightful, knowledgeable and learnt alot from the experience. Anya looked just lovely, very subtle make over. So thank you very much to the Charlotte Tilbury Team at Covent Garden, my daughter had a super experience with you. Hoping for my friend and I to visit sometime soon. Wish you all continued success. Too busy. Had my mask on but too many people made me feel uncomfortable, especially as everyone were trying the samples! Not a large shop, maybe consider restricting numbers inside in current conditions and no sampling? I watched 3 women try the same lipstick in 5 minutes then left. Sorry, I did go in to buy for a present but was very put off.

There was a barrier up and when one person walked out and I walked in, I was told to wait by the male MUA, as he was still serving customers and no one could come in unless they’re being served. I then see another person walking around not being served, who also walked out… yet still I couldn’t come in. 🤷🏽‍♀️ By the time I got in I was told I had 5 minutes as they were closing, I waited 10 mins - not a huge deal as I knew what I wanted. The female MUA was actually really friendly. Picked up a different shade to my normal foundation, but was advised to buy this other shade as it would better suit my undertone. I checked with the lady 3x if this was correct because I was pretty sure I read the opposite online to what she was saying. Have come home and rechecked the Charlotte Tilbury website which says the total opposite to what the sales assistant advised/sold me regarding undertones. Now I’ll have to make another trip back to exchange this. Not a great experience

5 Star care and first class service. I went in there looking for a lipstick I saw on an ad. Firstly everything was disinfected so customers weren’t allowed to touch anything because of COVID of course, we had to choose the products and the colours we want then the lovely staff would bring them over for you like the picture you see below. Not only very friendly and polite staff but also very experienced in their job. Non of the colours I chose matched my skin colour but the one Matt (sales man) suggested was exactly what I was looking for. Also there was a package of one free lipliner with the lipstick. Very happy with my experience and product.

The shop is chic and it is usually quite crowded. I came an hour before closing, and on a weekday so there wasn't as many people. I like that the staff do not hover while you're going through the products, but they also don't seem to be very attentive or approachable overall. The girl who served me was alright, I guess, but she didn't seem to be fully paying attention and didn't even fully clarify my orders as she dug through the drawers (getting some wrong items: I asked for the airbrush flawless powder in number 2, she got a foundation; getting a lip liner when I asked for the matte lipstick). Otherwise, experience was okay. I feel like I would be better off doing my shopping online though after this. The physical store is only good if you are keen on getting accurate makeup swatches.

Really helpful assistant here took the time to match my foundation colour and encouraged me to look outside in natural lighting before making a decision and was really informative about everything. She didn't rush me despite the store being packed and I don't feel like she was just trying to make a sale and get onto the next person as quickly as possible so I would visit here again if I'm in the area instead of purchasing online which is what I usually do.

Notes on the product: I think it is important to say that above all else Charlotte Tilbury products really are magnificent. The mark-up is high, but once you try it all out you can totally see why and I for one am happy to pay! Complete make-up luxury from packaging to product. The liquid and powder products such as the concealers, foundations and finishing powders last for a really long time and are gentle and moisturising on the skin. The coverage looks expensive and holds all day (minimal transference but still some).The rose gold and embossed packaging is glam and chunky yet perfect for handbags and light travelling... You would be proud to get your lippy out on the tube! Further more it just adds to the whole sleek experience. You really feel like you are treating yourself ! -And the perfume, I hear you ask ... well all I can say is visit the store and try it for your self ... it truly is .....long lasting perfection! My handbag staple. I previously left a three star review, explaining that the products and store were beautiful but the staff let the place down a little re. lack of knowledge and customer care. I had since then paid a few more visits and found the same so wrote a constructive message to the manager. I must say I received an email back straight away with an apology and the promise to address and investigate. I also received a complimentary makeover, voucher and gift. I have been into the store a few times since, both during busy and quieter times and the display's are looking much tidier (all make-up replenished and topped up ) and the customer service had been really attentive! Thank you to Clara who served me today with as smile and a helpful approach and a huge thank -you to Jenna who handled my email with such attentiveness . I really appreciate the response. It is not often that customers voices are heard and taken seriously in the huge world of retail and consumerism. I remain a faithful Charlotte Tilbury fan!! I completely recommend!

Attended a masterclass organized by work. It was great in terms of how knowledgeable the staff was. Shaciara one of the main artists gave us a great class that taught us helpful tips and tricks for a professional work look and an evening glam look, she was extremely helpful with picking the right kind of makeup for my skin type. The products are great, super pigmented so you don't have to use too much. Definitely recommend it!

Mixed feelings - although I love her products, this store is often quite busy and the staff cannot coordinate themselves. I have visited several times and have stood waiting for over 10 minutes every time. Better to purchase online and collect samples with your order. The girls in store never offer samples despite spending £200+. I do really recommend her products though - they're lovely and leave skin feeling really refreshed.

I love the make up here but there are simply not enough staff to do the job they need to in an often incredibly busy shop. There doesn't ever seem to be dedicated till staff. The staff seem to do an excellent job of giving people advice and take their time in doing so, which in many ways should be commended - the issue is that if you know what you want you often cannot just pick it up and there is no one there to just get you it and sell it to you quickly. You'd expect more for the amount of money you are paying for these items.

I participated in a group master class at the Covent Garden store. The store is glamorous and stylish, we had a private room for our class. The class was led by make-up artist Shaciara who was super informative, entertaining and a very talented artist. I had a full make over as a 'Golden Goddess' (they have a range of looks) and was tempted to buy every single item! Amazing quality products and a fully enjoyable evening and experience!

Absolutely worth a try. Having a personal fresh make up here is definitely the wise choice. I love Charlotte Tilbury but quite confused about my very own make up, so just booked a personal make up lesson (maybe? I don’t know how to call it). Shaciara is so helpful and patient to help me set up my new make up and taught me a lot of tricks about it. The £35 actually goes to the final products that you gonna buy after finishing the make up. In other words, it’s free if you buy things after that!!!!

I came here for the first time, it was crowded but I was seen straight away by a really helpful friendly girl who sat me down and pretty much gave me a full make over. I asked for their advice, and the foundation color match was perfect, this is the closest to my skin tone I've found, and I don't think I'll be looking further. I bought The light wonder 2, finally something that wasn't too orange or too pink for my fair skin. I also tried their magic away concealer, which has a really nice spongy design to get it in to the pores, however this concealer was very slightly too pink for me, I find the concealer from clarins is a more perfect colour match for me. I also tried the gel brow, which I bought, I have full eyebrows anyway but this just added lightly some more definition whilst remaining very natural..but it's possible to build this product up if you need to. Their foundation brush is great too, so I replaced my flakey benefit brush with their dense soft foundation brush I recently had an accident and my face was all scratched up and a cut up red mess, so it was really nice to walk out with a full face of natural looking make up that covered up my face mess!

My best friend and I went to the Covent Garden store this evening to have our makeup done after work. I have to admit I know nothing about smokey eyes and concealer but Jessica made me feel so at ease and wasn’t at all phased by my novice status. She was able to suggest products that would suit me and tell me how I could recreate/alter the look at home depending on the occasion. The makeup area is spacious and we had plenty of time to choose our look and see the products. We left the shop feeling beautiful and had a really brilliant girly evening. Thank you again Jessica! 😊

The products are brilliant but when you enter the store you are made to feel like the staff don’t want you to be there. Every time we’ve visited this branch we have to wait so long for anyone to acknowledge we’re waiting for help, we feel close to leaving or have left. You have to grab someone’s attention to get help and normally this is only by someone who has just finished with another customer, otherwise the staff stand around in groups chatting with no awareness of people wanting to buy products and it’s quite intimidating going up to interrupt them to ask for help. All in all it makes for a very frustrating experience. However, when you eventually do get help, the staff are actually brilliant and really helpful.

I'll start by saying I LOVE CT products. But my experiences in this store have always been less than stellar. Every time I go in, it's to buy multiple products or to get some knowledge on new techniques (to then buy the products). I usually have to seek someone out as no one approaches me. I let them know right away I'm in to buy x,y,z. I get that people come into store to get free makeovers and I'm sure it happens a lot there, but the staff literally offers NO help. I've tried twice and the first time I was handed a lipstick to try (after saying I don't like lipstick) that hasn't even been cleaned. The employee then grabbed another one to 'take over' and walked off to chat with another coworker. The girl she handed me off to literally said not one word to me, didn't offer other options, didn't ask what I was looking for... I walked in there to buy moisturizer, primer, bronzer, brow pencil, eyeshadow, and new lipgloss and instead left to go to a CT counter to get. Avoid the store, but not the products.

I read some of the other very negative reviews and I think it is worth noting that the view of customer service differs quite dramatically according to nationality. I spend a good deal of time in America and the thing I hate most about shopping there is the way staff are always hovering and asking if they can help you. Help should be available if you need it (which it was in this store) but staff should know when to just go away and let you browse. The Americans just can't seem to get the hang of this. Full marks to Charlotte Tilbury staff for knowing when to leave a customer alone.

I have been using the brands for a while but it was my first time at CT store yesterday. I had a good experience, staff was very helpful. They kept asking me if i needed help with anything. And after i had left with my purchase, i changed my mind, and so i went back to exchange with other item. They helped me refund my first purchase bcs of the price differences (hopefully that works fine and i won’t be charged; seeing some of the reviews i read here) And when i said i’d like to exchange my item with the foundations, they were really serious abt finding my shade even though i told them i think i already knew which one when i tried before. The staff still asked to test them on my face to be sure that i got the right one. I’m surprised to see some reviews that they are not very happy with the staff. Hopefully they will keep up this good service for everyone consistently.

I love the CT products, I have ordered many things online, but had difficulties with the delivery, and problems with the bills, so I went in person to the shop to explore the products. I have tried to request a makeup session in writing, but I did not get any response to my E-mail. I tried to find out more about the products in the shop, as I went to buy a bronzer and a pallette, but the sales persons were blocking the way to the products and were not helpful at all. In the end I left very disappointed with no purchase and went for another brand. It is a pity, as CT products are great, but the customer services has to be improved both offline and online.

After my dreams were shattered by Laura Mercier & NARS, I walked into the CT in Covent Garden. I was met (not greeted) by a large blonde lady who was too busy having a conversation with a large bearded MUA, so I was fobbed onto a young MUA called BILLIE. I write her name in capitals because she’s that fantastic!!! (If I could highlight, bolden and stick neon lights on her name I would!!)!! Do NOT let her age deceive you, I’m a mature woman but this girl listened, advised and was spot on! She knew her products but importantly she didn’t force sell anything- her work and the product was enough- so do yourself a favour and opt to wait and be seen by BILLIE!! To the blonde lady “you work on commissions right? BIG mistake- huge!” (Borrowed from Pretty Woman!)
