I’m a loyal customer for the past ten years as their products are simply second to none and are unrivalled in selection. Staff are always helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Got my haircut and wet shave from them for the first time recently and it was a great experience. Hugh quality service and cut, but still down to earth like a normal barbers - no thrills or fancy trucks just a proper good haircut and shave, which for me is perfect. Highly recommend

As a new customer who recently saw their products reviewed on youtube by PaulH, Kevy Shaves etc, I decided to visit their Jermyn Street shop twice now. Being aware of the current pandemic situation, I made sure that I was wearing a face mask before going into the shop. I have found all of the staff that I dealt with really helpful & pleasant. I needed to buy about 8 different shave creams/ tubs, but asked first as I entered if it would be ok to smell the testers before buying. Both the gentleman at the till, & the lady who served me during the "smelling process" were only too happy to help & advise me when I asked for advice. I read the review by "C P" below & have to wholeheartedly disagree with what he said. Maybe he was having an off day (CP), as these shops compete with D. R. Harris, Geo F Trumper, & Truefitt & Hill, who are all within 5 mins walking distance of each other. They also offer fine products too, albeit noticibly different to suit different tastes. I opened pretty much all of their tester tubs, which were marked as testers so that was really easy. I'd then pick what I liked from the stock behind the tester, & place it to the far side of the counter, so as to keep what I was buying seperate. The stack of tubs stacked up pretty quickly. I hear some sceptics say "maybe you work or are related to them". Sorry guys, but I am not in any such way. In fact, I've never met any of them in my entire life. I would also like to say that I'm not connected to any of their competitors mentioned above also, nor am I biased towards anyone. (If any of them do read this, review maybe they would be kind enough to keep me supplied free for life ha ha!) To prove this, I have taken a photo of just some of the items I purchased in these shops, & placed my receipts with the amounts, but covered them to protect the last 4 digits of my payment card, along with blurring any other transaction details for my own security. Along with the tubs of shave cream, I ended up buying loads of hair shampoo & conditioner, along with deodorant sticks, hand soaps, bath soaps until I realised that I better halt there, as this was first shop of the four. I was probably going to end up buying a year or two's worth of gear, just in case multiple lockdowns keep on coming with new virus strains, so that is my really poor but justified excuse for my continual overspending of these lovely luxurious products. Since my first visit after buying my inital batch of stuff, I've used a couple of their shaving creams & they're in another world to the junk that supermakets sell. Try & you'll never buy in the supermarkets again. Taylor of Old Bond Street offer really excellent products that were competitively priced & really perform great. I think that if you want to try a tester, or need help, then if you're polite, friendly & decent towards any of these staff, then they're exceptionally helpful in return. If you prefer to look around without help, you could politely advise them & I'm sure that they'll leave you to browse in peace. On the two seperate times that I have visited, I can only rate them the full 5 stars as they're excellent, friendly & great to deal with. This is an honest review & I can only speak from my personal experience. Buy from Taylors with confidence!!!! P.S. If Taylors or any of their competitors read this, I am totally serious about any of them keeping me well stocked, as I've now spent just over £600 in total over these 4 shops in just two weeks. Even some of the finest stores in the world end up getting the odd poor review, but you can't please everyone all of the time, that's life. The bulk of the reviews for this shop seem to either rave about them or are really excellent, so you can draw your own conclusions as I have myself. That's my honest story & hope that you'll enjoy their fine products as much as I do.

Finally used my last shaving cream, close to two years, it was the lime soap very nice!, this time trying coconut cream soap, I only shave once every 4 days to a week. This Coconut soap like the lime soap is a thick creamy soap, need very little to get a good lather, your brush will have enough to do two soap ups without any problem. My first soap which was the sandalwood (hard type soap) is like Willy Wonkers ever lasting gob stopper, 6 years and still going. This is a lovely soap, smell and smoothness. The coconut smells nice and makes the shave smooth, comes off you and your shaving items with a dry towel with no problems and leave it like new, maybe not you.... If your here to think about using a safty razor over disposable, it's a no brainier, it's cheaper, with the right razor a better shave and I feel inadvertently greener as very little waste. I have two handles they are by Mhule, I think that's spelt right, they call them Long or full handles, for me a very good handle and a reasonable price to start, as well as more expensive handles, a good place to see if it's for you. Short handles look tiny but are well weighted and work surprisingly well. Give it ago this shop is great, if you call they are so friendly and helpful and you don't even have to leave your front room. Christmas is coming 😂

Love this shop. I was surprised to read the reviews where customers haven't found the staff welcoming! I have had the opposite experience, and I like the fact that they don't approach you and start hard selling before you've barely got through the door! I like the relaxed atmosphere. The products are of an exceptionally high quality and the staff are very polite and helpful and don't need to hard sell the products, the sheer quality of the products will guarantee a sale. Taylor's provide something that feels a great deal more special than what's available on the average perfume counter in the high street. Very highly recommended.

For starters, the selection and quality of the items sold here are incredible. It's a must go for anyone looking for a good quality shave. This shop is a part of shaving history for a reason, and I could spend all day just taking in the smells of all the different soaps and creams. However, as much as I'd like to spend a while in there, whenever I do visit (a few times now) I feel like I'm not welcome in the shop at all. The staff seemed to suspect I was up to something whenever I walked in and I always felt like o was being unfairly watched. I don't want to suggest that the staff are no good, in fact they're usually quite friendly once I actually do go to the till, but I can't help but feel like they expect a certain clientele and are suspicious of anyone who doesn't match that.

If it wasn't for the shaving creams I would probably have not walked in. I think the shaving creams are fairly priced, but the pre and post shaves are a bit over priced in comparison to Geo F Trumper. The second thing the guys at Geo F were having free samples and they gave me like 3 creams and post shaves , even though I didn't by anything. As to you guysit would've hurt you if you were to give free samples or some sort of a gift. Remember, a little goes a long way 🤨

Have been using Taylor of Bond Street Sandalwood Cologne for several months now. With a traditional scent it lasts for the day and actually smells nicer once put on as simply smelling from the bottle it appears quite strong. I expect it to last around 8 months, as I apply it once every day and the contents has roughly depleted to around a quarter. I would definitely recommend this cologne. It is a traditional fine scent with pleasing packaging. Shall purchase again.

I always order the Taylor of old bond street products online. Today I went to their shop in St James/jermyn street to buy something in person. The shop was great, full of superb products. Most of the staff were really nice and ready to assist. The cashier was really unfriendly and rude. She ruined the whole experience of my shopping today. I have noticed that many customers have complained about the behavior of the staff there, i don’t know why the manger of the shop does not do anything about it.

Every visiting time to London from Japan, I visit this shop for getting new item and refills for shaving. Perhaps this is the 5th or 6th visiting this shop. Already I have another shaving brushes (including this shop), and this shops brush is excellent. Once after using this shop's brush, feeling of another shops' brushes are not comfort nor fit for me. Today I bought new excellent brush and soaps for my shaving time rich, and I have feel of satisfaction very much.

I have used Taylors products for some ten years, I have never found any products to better them, shaving soap, hand soap, after shave, shower gel, and shaving brush. The staff have always been helpful, and given good advice freely. My son and I treated ourselves to a cut throat shave , which was most enjoyable.I am at a loss to find fault with the establishment, and can not understand some of the harsh comments made by some customers.

I have read every single review here and honestly I can't understand some of the reviews but anyway. My personal experience with the guys from Taylor old are fantastic. I've been once in their shop and I was very impressed that day from the chat I had with the staff all the way to my exit back through the door. Guys were very respectful and helpful gave me very useful tips on wet shaving. I end up buying their famous sandalwood shave cream and their bay rum and oh my God that was when I realised why my father was talking so much about their sandalwood (by the way my dad has been using Taylors products for years and still does it) and the bay rum as well I never used better. I tried geo f trumper stuff before not very impressed with the quality in their products their shaving creams and soap doesn't create a nice rich lathering is more like foam kind of thing too many air bubbles in the lather. Where Taylors products are great quality best of the best. I bought peppermint shaving cream recently and press shave sandalwood oil online received them only yesterday tried them again amazing quality products. Just unbelievable and I have officially a new favourite. I love their peppermint again very rich lather as usual and it feels so nice on your skin as well like you are doing spa kind of calming feeling. Also very impressed with the delivery too. Will never change shaving brand again. You rock guys keep on making us happy.

Their shaving cream is the BEST I have ever used. The Rich, Creamy lather means the razor slides easily and the blades last longer. Leaves skin moisturised and razor burn is a thing of the past. Worth every penny and due to the small amount needed it is a real no-brainer. Taylors are a traditional company that have stuck to their principals. Their products should not be compared with the cheap, useless shaving gels sold in metal aerosol cans in the supermarkets, this would be like comparing a Ferrari to a Nissan. If you care about your skin and have to shave regularly you really should be using their products. Class is permanent.

I bought an expensive umbrella from this store 2 years ago. Shortly after I bought it, in a strong windy day, the umbrella was totally wrecked. I brought the umbrella to the store for repair and then I had to leave the UK during 1.5 years due to COVID. I came back last week and they had no problem giving me back the umbrella repaired like new at no cost. Honestly, I do not think many stores would be that fair. I was very impressed.

Voor mij was dit een geweldige winkel. Alles was er en alles was te besnuffelen. Het personeel was vriendelijk en ter zake kundig, op mijn vragen kreeg ik een duidelijk antwoord en zij gaven mij alle gelegenheid vrij rond te kijken zonder dat zij zich opdrongen. Het is niet goedkoop, maar wat zijn die scheercrèmes geweldig en wat doen die kwasten -nou ja de kwast die ik kocht- het goed. Ik moet nodig weer terug, want voor op reis wil ik nog een reisscheerkwast in een kokertje en een klein bakje scheercrème kopen. Heerlijk, zo'n winkel.
