I went to see Koosje cos I was in deep pain and could hardly move my neck. In 30 minutes she made me experience so many different and wonderful techniques: hands on, a professional massager, 3 different positions to deeply reach all the tissues. I felt all the tensions melting away and while she was doing that she explained to me useful ways to have a better posture and improve my wellbeing. Koosje treated my shoulder after sporting event, I've seen many therapists, none where able to fix me in just a few sessions except for Koosje, she is certainly not the cheapest practitioner, however in comparison in what I have spend on therapy in the past she has definitely saved me a lot of money. I first saw Koosje after tearing my ankle ligament in a XC race. Not only did she provide first class advice on rehabilitation (massage and a strengthening exercises) but helped me to deal with the psychological impact of the injury so close to my target event of the marathon. Her support helped me to get back to fitness and still manage to achieve a PB time of 2hr 48min! Since then I have had an operation on my shoulder and Koosje has again provided top rate support in helping me to recover at a faster than expected rate. I had my first physio session with Koosje back in March after 5 months of seeing an osteopath who was not able to help me with my knee issue. I have a disfiguration of my left knee after two pregnancies, which started effecting my hip bones too. This is what happens when you ignore a knee pain for 4 years and then you can no longer live with the pain. Having had 10 sessions with an osteopath and still spending some weekends in bed with pain I approached Koosje. I had 3 sessions with her and the improvement has been magical. However, it was not only the actual physio sessions that helped me. It was all the other tips she gave me while treating me. A short exercise every day, the right equipment to do it with and a mindset change. Not only I started exercising on daily basis as I could feel the difference, but I also made the mental switch from being an exhausted mum of two exhausting and young boys to a mum that started going to the gym again, which is what I did for years before having kids, hence never had muscular pain. The pain is disappearing fast from my life and I am confident that couple more sessions with Koosje will get rid of the rest. I would highly recommend Koosje if you are experiencing pain. She is not only a physio. She is a physio with passion who really cares about helping people. And helping them fast. But be warned – you need to do your homework otherwise it will not work.
