Royal Mail Centre in Southampton working very hard, doing their best by delivering posts to people. The person who put his letter in the post box can not even imagine through such of the number of hands will go this letter!! This is just amazing! It could be a very tiny letter and very big, even huge parcel - and all of these delivered in time to our doorsteps. My biggest regard to people who work in Royal Mail.

Large Southampton Distribution Centre (SDC). When Portsmouth DC was closed, all Royal Mail letters and parcels to and from Portsmouth began going through Southampton DC. Very busy place; permanent staff includes dozens of lorry drivers, dozens of postmen, dozens of mail sorters. During Christmas period (early Dec - mid January) it’s extremely busy and Royal Mail hires hundreds of temporary casual workers. Working conditions are good, the team is friendly and helpful. This place doesn’t work with customers.

Night shift receptionist is very pleasant, and the people on the floor get the job done efficiently and effectively!

Royal Mail distribution centre. Not open to the general public, just employees, although you can post your mail here. Useful for dropping off bulk business mail postings.

Very big Royal Mail sorting office by the airport.

Has the last post collection in the area. 19:30. You need to be buzzed into the carpark. Then it is just to the right of the main reception - within the the wall of the building.
